Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 17, 2018 the Trump Putin
summit is over and Rand Paul has come to the rescue claiming it is ludicrous
not to sit down and talk with our adversaries and trying to shame Russians by
calling them liars would have been counterproductive; Chris Wallace interviewed
Putin after the Summit and his probing questions casted doubt over his
assertion that Russians were not meddling in the election; the new rising
leftist/socialist star of the Democratic Party Ocasio-Cortez has raised a firestorm
claiming Israel has occupied Palestine then backing down by admitting she is
not an expert on the Middle East; MGM International, the owner of the Mandalay
Bay Resort in Las Vegas has filed suit in federal court to seek the dismissal
of litigation brought by the victims of the mass shooting that occurred there; on
the racist front Theresa Lund, the Executive Director of the Harvard Humanitarian
Initiative was caught on tape asking the mother of a biracial toddler if she
lived in affordable housing (she has since apologized for the question); in a
glaring example of the quality of education in our inner cities, an eighth
grader who was raped while waiting for a school bus is suing her school after
she reported it and the school counselor told her to move on with her life; through July 15, 2018, 1528 people mostly of
color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 244 have died (when
will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism
as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people
of color by people of color?).

Chancellor of Germany whose government is surviving by a slender thread due to
her immigration policies of admitting hundreds of thousands of refugees from
the Middle East who are not assimilating in Germany.

a. 1902 Willis Carrier created the first air conditioner in
Buffalo, New York.
b. 1984 the national drinking age in the U.S. was raised from 18
to 21.
c. 1996 TWA Flight 800 on a flight from New York to Paris exploded
over the Atlantic 12 minutes after takeoff killing all 230 people aboard.
d. 2001 the Concorde returned
to service after it ran over debris on July 25, 2000 while taking off from
Paris, puncturing a fuel tank which burst into flames causing the plane to
crash into a hotel, killing all 109 aboard and 4 people on the ground.
e. 2014 Malaysia Flight 17, a Boeing 777, was shot down by
Russian backed Ukrainian rebels killing all 298 aboard.
Reflections on the
International Criminal Court from an African perspective: "Instead of
promoting justice and reconciliation and contributing to peace and stability,
(the ICC) has degenerated into a political instrument targeting Africa and
Africans. This is totally unacceptable and that is why Africa has been
expressing its serious reservation against the ICC." - Ethiopian Prime
Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, in his role as chairman of African Union, as
told to the U.N. General Assembly.
