July 31, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Ranger Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 31, 2017 The clock is ticking for North Korea and for China who could castrate the North Korean economy and bring its obese lunatic to its knees (if the North and South were united just like East and West Germany within a few years you would have not any more U.S. troops and a booming economy that would be a magnet for Chinese goods); cannot believe that Chinese leaders cannot turn the light bulb on to realize Kim Jong Un is a dead end street and should be eliminated); Venezuela once the richest country in South America and now bankrupt due to socialist policies in a “sham election” has granted Maduro dictatorial power and  is facing potential sanctions from the U.S. like banning all imports of oil from that country (something we can do due to fracking and the elimination of misguided energy restrictions from Obama); on the war on MS-13 front some progress but pressure must be brought to bear on the Blues who must have only contempt for our safety to inform them in no uncertain terms to get behind and support Kate’s Law and an end to all federal funding for Sanctuary Cities (how many innocents have to be killed, raped or assaulted before these Blue protected idiots come to their senses?); while the 535 gang of parasites and their bloated staff enjoy the good life of ACA subsidies, mere mortals living in 1332 counties have only one insurance company to chose from and in 40 counties none (only word to use to describe this mess is pathetic—solution is term limits and purge every incumbent from office?); through July 30 2182 people have been shot in Chicago 382 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Los Del Rio, factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote by Adolph Hitler, hoping your issues and challenges are not invictive,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1Ka Hae Hawaii Daycelebrating in Hawaii the adoption of its state flag, the only one in the 50 states that includes the flag of a foreign nation, the Union Jack.
2. World Ranger Day—commemorating since 2007 the sacrifice of park rangers who have died in the line of duty protecting visitors to parks and game reserves and the animals who resided there
3. 1996 Number One Song—the number one song in 1996 on a long run of 14 weeks in that position was “Macarena” by Los Del Rios. Here is a performance by the duo of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiOGjn1Ms4w
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “invictive” which means insurmountable which sadly seems to describe the difficulties we face in draining the Swamp.
5. A Real Successful Maverick—celebrating the birth on this day in 1958 of Mark Cuban since it is Shark Week, one of the stars of “Shark Tank”, and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, one very successful entrepreneur who also dances very well.
On this day in:
a. 1790 the first U.S. Patent is issued to inventor Samuel Hopkins for a potash process.
b. 1874 Dr. Francis Patrick Healy became the first African American to be named president of a predominantly white university, Georgetown.

e. 1991 in a step to make the planet a safer place the U.S. and Soviet Union signed START 1, a treaty to reduce their respective nuclear stockpiles.
Reflections on why we need to listen rogue nation threats from North Korea and Iran: “Today I will once more be a prophet: If the international Jewish financiers in and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, then the result will not be the bolshevization of the earth, and thus the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe!” Adolph Hitler in a speech January 31,1939 Sadly no one listened and took heed even as the obese lunatic from North Korea rants about annihilating us. Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. July 30, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Friendship Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 30, 2017 While most Americans are being crushed with higher premiums and higher deductibles the gang of 535 and their staff are exempt from Obamacare (time to get on the phone and write Trump to end that exemption so these parasites get brought back to reality and work to repeal this disaster); time to ultimatum China who is an enabler for that obese lunatic in North Korea and time to figure out where this lunatic is and remove him and every member of his family; another example of Germany’s idiotic posture on refugees as an Iraqi went into a nightclub in southern German with an automatic rifle and started spraying bullets, killing one and wounding several before sent to Paradise by police; UC Irvine is eating crow as it rescinded almost 500 acceptance letters for this year’s incoming class (do you expect competency from a State of California Institution?); in another reason why we need Kate’s Law that the Blues are fighting tooth and nail Sergio Martinez with a rap sheet a mile long and who has been deported 20 times (prime example of why we need a wall) has been arrested in the sanctuary city of Portland, Oregon for raping a 65 year old woman (if this scum bag is convicted lock him up for the rest of his miserable life and if a lesser sentence, castrate him before deporting him) through July 29 2173 people have been shot in Chicago 379 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).

July 29, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Tiger Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 29, 2017 The Reds who campaigned on repeal and replace Obamacare thanks to three Benedicts, Collins, Murkowski and McCain have failed so we get to watch the agony of a failed program that will implode in front of our very eyes knowing that Congress and its staff have been exempted from complying with a flawed law (so typical of the Swamp denizens to insulate themselves from the pain they impose upon us mere mortals); shakeup at the White House with Priebus leaving and Kelley assuming his role and Scaramucci declaring war on leakers; another ICBM test (if we know where that obese lunatic is, time to take him and his family out if China refuses to get involved (China work for regime change or kiss the U.S. market goodbye); Iran complaining that warning shots fired by U.S. Naval vessel in Persian Gulf were unprofessional (problem is that the Iranian boat was not sunk); in another example of total ineptness billions of student debt may be written off due to misplaced or lost paper work; through July 28 2168 people have been shot in Chicago 370 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to All-for-One, factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote by Paris Hilton on what a woman needs, hoping you can resist people who are inveigling you,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. July 28, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Hepatitis Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 28, 2017 The drama on repeal of Obamacare had its curtain call last night with three Reds voting no and Schumer today at his most hypocritical best urging bipartisanship (if you want Congress to be bipartisan on this have Trump remove the exemption for Congress and its staff from Obamacare and watch the stampede to try to solve this disaster); Maxine Waters put on a disgusting but typical show interrupting continually the testimony of Treasury Secretary Mnuchin (this absentee plantation owner should be thrown out of office by the voters in her district that she doesn’t live in); another day of China trying to do both support North Korea and do business with U.S. and another ballistic missile test landing in the economic zone waters of Japan which fortunately did not hit any vessels in the area (China needs to chose one path or the other); get ready for another special prosecutor as Reds are demanding one to investigate Lynch, Comey and your favorite potential felon HRC; on the terror front another knife wielding “Allahu Akbar” attacker in Hamburg killing one person and wounding 4 others before being subdued; on the PC Academic front a conservative professor Keith Fink teaching free speech at UCLA has been fired even though he possessed an excellent rating; through July 27, 2152 people have been shot in Chicago 376 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to UB40; factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote by Tom Libri on the need to vaccinate against hepetitis, hoping you do not have to put up with people inveighing against you,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “inveigh” which means to attack in speech or in writing which is all we are being forced to endure in the Swamp instead of Congress getting anything done.
5. Change the Channel on the Telly—celebrating or bemoaning depending on your political views the birth on this day in 1957 of Scott Pelley former news anchor for CBS Evening News who was canned in part due to failing ratings probably due to his unconcealed bias and partisan attacks on Trump and conservatives.

July 27, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Bagpipe Appreciation Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 27, 2017 House has voted to appropriate $1.8 billion as a down payment for construction of the much needed wall on our border with Mexico; if you look at the tweet’s from ideologues like Harris, Warren, Sanders, Murray, Schumer et al McCain’s plea for bipartisanship fell on deaf ears but the Reds are trying to craft a “skinny repeal” that will eliminate the most objectionable parts of Obamacare only that may get enough Red votes to pass and send to committee with the House (total drama that brings into question the wisdom of the founding fathers in creating the Senate that was designed to be removed from the democratic passions of the people); more drama and expenditure of political capital at the White House with Trump’s transgender order, Scaramucci and Priebus feuding, and Trump’s tweet rails against Sessions and Mueller (total distraction from what this nation must have—tax cuts, border security, and infrastructure spending); lost in the shuffle in the MSM’s anti-Trump was the announcement that Foxconn which builds parts for Apple products will be building a $10 billion plant in Wisconsin that will create thousands of jobs; on the terror front reports that U.S. Syrian forces have reclaimed half of Raqqa, the “capital of the ISIS Caliphate”; in yet another example of the war by the left on free speech and assembly the Michigan People’s Defense Network is gearing up to disrupt in Michigan a Catholic conference on promoting what is needed for men to be good fathers and husbands; the law firm for the Pakistani IT staffer for Debbie Wasserman Schultz under criminal investigation nabbed trying to flee the country has resorted to parroting the race and Islamophobic card so quickly dropped by many Blues claiming the arrest was due to his ethnicity and religion; we all know that the skies are not friendly in United Airlines for cramped passengers and now that truism will be tested in court for animals as United Airlines is being sued for the death of Simon, a Continental Giant rabbit, who perished on a flight from England to the U.S. (on behalf of all passengers who have endure no service, no food, and no leg room sock it to them jury) through July 26, 2137 people have been shot in Chicago 373 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Sir Mix-a-Lot; factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote from the Korean War Memorial, hoping your day is free from interfacing with people who display inurbanity towards you,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. Korean War Armistice Daycelebrating the Armistice Agreement signed on this day in 1953 that ended the hostilities on the Korean Peninsula but with no regime change in the North has necessitated the presence of large numbers of U.S. troops who unless we or the Chinese act will soon be armed with nuclear weapons capable of reaching the U.S.
2. Bagpipe Appreciation Day—celebrating that musical instrument that can continue to play as long as the piper can continue to breath and is great to listen to if going into battle, great to fear if heard through the fog waiting for a bunch of face painted Scots to descend and guaranteed to bring tears to one’s eyes at a funeral when “Amazing Grace” is played.
3. 1992 Number One Song—the number one song in 1992 on a run of 5 weeks in that position was “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot. Here is a performance by him of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JphDdGV2TU
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “inurbanity” which means a lack of manners or deportment which is what we are seeing far too often from our politicians which explains the gridlock we are facing in the Swamp.
5. Ash Hot Rod—celebrating the birth on this day in 1975 of baseball great Alex Rodriguez who ended his career with 696 homeruns even with a one year suspension for using steroids (drugs may enhance performance but in the end like LeMond or Maguire you get caught and all the records and fame go for naught).
On this day in:
a. 1921 researchers at the University of Toronto discovered that the hormone insulin regulates the blood sugar levels.

e. 1974 the House Judiciary Committee voted Articles of Impeachment for obstruction of justice against President Richard Nixon.

July 26, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not One Voice Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 26, 2017 McCain is a true patriot and facing a real death sentence but he flew to the Swamp to vote to move the repeal Obamacare to a vote while rabid ideologues masquerading as Senators like Harris with her fellow ideologues en bloc voted no (when will Schumer look through better prescription glasses and see that Americans are totally fed up with the Blues’ obstruction and subversion of this president and his agenda to bring back posterity); in the first vote on replacing Obamacare, the Senate voted nay (hopefully the amendments that may be offered will result in the passage of a bill to repeal a law that is killing any chance of sustained economic growth); the agenda from Trump of job creation is still being sidelined by the Russian collusion delusion and the media hype over his displeasure of Sessions (flash to Trump stifle it HRC will still be around as a target for criminal prosecution) and by another self inflicted Trump distraction—his banning transgenders from serving in the military; an IT staffer for Debbie Wasserman Schultz under criminal investigation was nabbed trying to flee the country; Burt Weinstein a professor at “Ever Left University” in Washington has filed a $3.8 million suit against the “university” after being attacked by a mob of radicals for his condemnation of whites only (time for the PC wimps on college administrations to ruthlessly crack down on the assault of free speech by the left); news out of the dangers of riding BART and being attacked by black thugs as BART under the cloak of political correctness will not release videos showing really violent attacks (God help those riders who do not have a firearm to shoot down these dogs); really chilling news that North Korea may be a year or less from having the ability to launching ICBMs with nuclear warheads reaching the U.S. (sanctions and diplomacy have not worked and China will not assist in shutting down this rogue regime—when do we give the ultimatum and level North Korea with nukes?); through July 25, 2129 people have been shot in Chicago 373 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Bryan Adams; factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote by Senator Tammy Duckworth on the ADA, hoping you’re the Blues will stop intercluding the Trump agenda,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. One Voice Daycelebrated since 1997 by reading at 6:00 p.m. a 577 word document which is a pledge to bring families and societies together regardless of creed, race or religion in the spirit of peace  A noble goal which as we look at the world today is not coming close to being achieved.
2. National All or Nothing Day—celebrating a day to stop just putting the toe in the water to throw reservation and caution to the wind and just do it whatever it might be (legal of course) whether it is sky diving, a new relationship or finally publishing that manuscript.
3. 1991 Number One Song—the number one song in 1991 on a run of 7 weeks in that position was “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” by Bryan Adams. Here is a performance by him of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGoWtY_h4xo
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “interclude” which means to block or cut off which when it comes to any rational discussion of pressing issues facing this nation the Blues in the Senate practice 24/7.
5. No Satisfaction in Economics—celebrating the birth on this day in 1943 of rock legend Mick Jagger who fortunately for music fans left the London School of Economics to form the Rolling Stones. Still going strong with 8 children from 5 women, the last of whom was born in December of last year and in addition to all his musical awards can claim being a Knight.
On this day in:
a. 1975 the United States Post Office was established with Benjamin Franklin as the Postmaster General; given the losses the USPS is running up and the scandal of its union members violating the Hatch Act to actively campaign for Hillary Clinton, poor Ben must be rolling in his grave.
b. 1908 the Attorney General Charles Bonaparte issued an order to staff the Office of Chief Examiner (later renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation).
c. 1948 President Harry S. Truman signed Executive Order 9981 which desegregated the U.S. Armed Forces (ironic today Trump indicated that no transgender may serve in the U.S. Armed Forces).
d. 1990 the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush.
e. 2016 Hillary Clinton became the first woman to be nominated by a major political party to run for the presidency only to run perhaps the worst campaign in modern times and go down in flames but still blaming the DNC, the Russians, WikiLeaks, and the FBI for her loss.
Reflections on the ADA’s contributions to the lives of the disabled: “The ADA is essential in helping me overcome the obstacles I face as a Wounded Warrior and empowers me to assist other veterans. It allows me to be physically active, have my pilot's license, and serve in Congress.” Tammy Duckworth the  Blue Junior Senator from Illinois and double amputee from the Iraqi War. Proof positive that while disabilities may be physical as the result of injury, the most serious disability is one’s state of mind in facing challenges that must be overcome. Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 25, 2017 The Trump White House seems totally out of control with inane tweets coming fast and furious with Sessions now in the Trump cross hairs (this is beginning to look less and less like a government and more and more like a sick sequel to you’re fired); the Obama Swamp denizens are still alive and well at the State Department as Obama appointees are purging any references to ISIS genocide and continue the Obama era policies of excluding Christians and other religious minorities in Iraq from aid programs; in a scene reminiscent of Ted Kennedy’s return following brain surgery to battle his cancer to the Senate floor to break a filibuster on Medicare reimbursement, John McCain returned to the Senate following his diagnosis of brain cancer; an Oklahoma school district has learned that teachers having sex with their students is a costly proposition as it settled for $125,000 with the family of a 15 year old eighth grader whose English teacher Jennifer Caswell is due for sentencing for 2nd degree rape of the boy on August 31 (what makes this story more pathetic is Ms. Caswell was allowed to resign and keep her teaching credentials until the boy started to cooperate with authorities and criminal charges were then brought); China may be seeing the light that the situation in North Korea is becoming more serious and the U.S. is serious that it will not allow the North to install nuclear warheads on ICBMs capable of reaching the U.S.; after seven years of what now looks like a phony attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare, the Senate may finally vote to bring the bill to the floor for debate (if the Reds fail on this they can kiss the Senate and the House goodbye in 2018 is this poet’s prediction); the driver of the van in which 10 illegals were cooked to death had had his driver's license revoked in April and had a long checkered criminal record; through July 24, 2118 people have been shot in Chicago 371 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Glenn Medeiros and Bobby Brown; factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote by Martin Cruz Smith on WikiLeaks, hoping your opponents are not intempestive,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1Health and Happiness With Hypnosison a day devoid of meaningful holidays and observances around the world and after getting sleepy surfing the internet found this which supposedly has been observed since 2005.
2. Red Shoe Day—observed since 2014 by wearing red shoes not to proclaim support of the Republican Party which appears to be in total disarray but rather to remember Theda Myint and all others who have passed due to Lyme’s Disease.
3. 1990 Number One Song—the number one song in 1990 on a run of 2 weeks in that position was “She Ain’t Worth It” by Glenn Medeiros featuring Bobby Brown. Here is a performance of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AF7XRSQk2w
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “intempestive” which means to be unreasonable which is what we are seeing in the Swamp on a daily basis.
5. Not a Man But a Model—celebrating the birth on this day in 1955 of Somalia’s best export retired super model Iman who is the widow of David Bowie.
On this day in:
a. 1961 in a speech President John F. Kennedy declared that an attack on Berlin was an attack on NATO.
b. 1965 Bob Dylan went electric in his performance at the Newport Folk Festival, profoundly changing the face of music.
c. 1969 President Nixon proclaimed the Nixon Doctrine which provided that Asians must provide for their own defense signaling the beginning of the Vietnamization of the Vietnam War  which did not occur fast enough for the over 10,000 Americans who lost their lives after the speech before the war ended.
d. 1978 Louise Joy Brown, the first person conceived by in vitro fertilization outside the womb, was born.
e. 2010 WikiLeaks published over 90,000 U.S. Military logs on the war in Afghanistan, most of which were classified.
Reflections on the WikiLeaks an organization that is either a traitor or a hero depending on one’s point of view and who is being gored: Julian Assange is certainly no hero. The man behind WikiLeaks issued threats as if he were Dr. No bent on ending civilization as we know it. We will find him, lock him up, and throw away the key. But give the man credit; for a week the truth was laid bare.” Martin Cruz Smith, noted American mystery writer best known for his eight novels with Russian detective  Arkady Renko first introduced in Gorky Park. Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs.
