       1. National Dance Day—started by the Dizzy Feet Foundation in 2010 to promote dancing as a positive way to have fun and fight obesity.                                                    

       2. National Culinarians Day—celebrating the joy of cooking whether it is just a simple meal or a gourmet experience worth of five stars.

      4. National Wine and Cheese Day—celebrating the great combination and start of a more refined picnic or touch to a night at the Hollywood Bowl.

      5. Bring Home the Bacon Day—celebrating the birthday on this day in 1956 Louis Bacon the founder of Moore Capital and now a billionaire.

On this day in:                                           

       a. 1467 in a chilling example of man’s advancement in the art of technology enhancing his ability to kill his fellow man, the Battle of Molinella between Venice and Florence occurred; for the first time in Italy artillery and firearms were extensively used.   

       b. 1837 the first use of an electrical telegraph was demonstrated by Charles Wheatstone and William Cooke between Euston and Camden Town in London.

       c. 1908 Ajinomoto was founded after Kikanae Ikeda discovered that MSG was key ingredient of kombu soup and patented a process for manufacturing MSG. 

       d. 1909 Louis Bieriot became the first person to fly a heavier than air machine across the English Channel. 

       e. 1965 Bob Dylan went electric as he plugged in at the Newport Folk Festival, marking a major change on how country and folk music was performed.
