       a. 1799 the Rosetta Stone was discovered near the village of Rosetta by French Captain Pierre-Francois Bouchard.

       b. 1834 after 356 years and thousands “heretics” having been put to death, the Spanish Inquisition finally came to an end.

       c. 1910 in his book Clinical Psychiatry Emil Kraepelin gave a name to the dreaded disease Alzheimer’s, naming it after his colleague Alois Alzheimer.

       d. 2003 Time AOL Warner disbanded Netscape; the Mozilla Foundation was founded the same day.

       e. 2006 to the joy of this poet Twitter was formed.
