Ridley's Believe It Or Not-This Day In History April 5, 2014 National Love Your Children Day

Ridley's Believe It Or Not--April 5, 2014:  Found these unknown holidays worthy of mention or celebrating in a culinary fashion to go with the factoids and quote to enjoy as you on immersed to the Men’s Semis on Saturday and the Women’s on Sunday—Go Stanford Women against the Huskies.
              1. Money Smart Week (4/5/-4/12)—a week to create awareness on how to manage personal finances started by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; great observance but should be monitored daily or from an investment standpoint consider the use of a professional manager like Sidoxia Capital  http://sidoxia.com
              2. International Pillow Fight Day—celebrated by thousands in cities around the world; other than the mess of feathers and pillow stuffing material what a great fun way to settle disputes—is any listening in the Kremlin?
              3. Every Day Is Tag Day--another great idea of the American Humane Association to promote the tagging of pets so their owners can be notified if lost or picked up by animal control officers who seem to have no humor, probably because if not claimed within a short time pets are euthanized.
              4. National Love Your Children Day--here is a holiday that speaks for itself and really should be observed each and every day by parents to the max.
              5. National Deep Dish Pizza Day—no list of holidays complete without one to sink your teeth into especially a deep dish pizza with extra anchovies.
On this day in:
               a. 1792 President George Washington exercised the first presidential veto or legislation, an act which has occurred 2564 times since our founding, only 4% of which were overridden by Congress.
               b. 1922 the American Birth Control League (the precursor to Planned Parenthood) was formed.
               c. 1993 construction began on Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Love and listening is the combo all parents need each and every day not just this day. "Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them, all of it has always been big stuff." -- Catherine M. Wallace, noted cultural critic, writer and poet.  How right the observation is.
