Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 31, 2018 It’s panic time
for Claire McCaskill as she is trying to distance herself from “crazy Democrats”
like Chappelle-Nadal who has expressed hope that Trump will be assassinated (to
no avail as her opponent continues to widen his lead); CNN which rightfully
should be called the Cack News Network is back in the news when aptly named
Lemon which is a name for a unreliable car claimed that the biggest threat to
this country is white men while discussing the issue with a privileged and
biased fellow “journalist” Cuomo (this lemon of a journalist was condemned for
his pathetic remark); good news for Marsha Blackburn who is pulling ahead of her
Blue opponent but the Taliban supporting queen Kyrsten Sinema is leading an
A-10 pilot combat veteran McSally (John McCain must be rolling in his grave
with that news); on the you are never too young to fight front a disturbing
video of the daycare center Adventure Learning in St. Louis of preschoolers
being urged to fight has surfaced; Trump is proceeding forward with his plan to
terminate by executive order birthright citizenship for children of illegal
aliens (look for court challenges that will go to the Supreme Court); the
caravan of illegals is still inching toward the border full of desperate
illegals that are fleeing the lack of jobs in Honduras which is not a valid
reason for asylum (Congress could solve this problem with legislation requiring
asylum applications to be adjudicated at the embassy or consulate in the host
country and without such adjudication face immediate deportation); North Korea
is reportedly ready to allow inspectors to visit the nuclear test site that it
has shut down which is a good sign; on the false news front Robert Mueller has
reported to the FBI for investigation a claim by a women that he had
inappropriate sexual relations with her (time for him to release his report
immediately after the midterm to end this expensive witch-hunt); Emanuel’s
announcement that he will not seek reelection has not curbed the gun violence
as through October 29, 2018, 2560 people mostly of color have been shot by
mostly people of color, of whom 422 have died (when will Chicago get serious
about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns
a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of mostly people of color by mostly
people of color).

5. Halloween’s Favorite Treat—celebrating the birth on this day in
1950 of Canadian born actor John Candy who appeared in 40 fills but was way too
overweight and a heavy smoker who died at the age of 43 of a heart attack in
his sleep after just completing the movie Wagons
East.

a. 1956 Britain and France begin bombing Egypt to force
reopening of the Suez Canal.
b. 1968 citing progress in the Paris Peace Talks with North
Vietnam, President Johnson, who was not running for reelection, announced the
cessation of bombing of North Vietnam, effective November 1.
c. 2002 a federal grand jury indicted Enron’s former CFO
Andrew Fastow for 78 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, conspiracy and
obstruction of justice for which he plead guilty too and entered a plea
agreement requiring forfeiture of $23.8 million in assets and a six year
sentence of which he served a little more than 5 years.
d. 2011 in a too many mouths to feed moment, the population of
the Earth reached 7 billion.
e. 2017 an Islamist in a rented truck mowed down 19 people on a
bike path in lower Manhattan, killing 8 before being wounded; he still has not gone to trial where
he will face the death penalty if convicted.
