Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October
11, 2018 Hurricane Michael has left a path of destruction in Florida including
Tyndall Air Force Base and is now bringing strong winds and incredible rainfall
to Georgia and the Carolinas; President Trump has rightfully slammed Obama hack
Eric Holder for calling on supporters to kick Reds (when do the idiots on the
left understand the need to tone down the rhetoric before people start getting
killed due to the dog whistles of left wing hate); the Cack News Network that
no on should ever want to watch because of its idiotic bias is back in the news
again for degrading Kanye West as a token Negro for President Trump (never buy
a car that is a lemon and never listen to a biased pseudo journalist Lemon and
it the executives at CNN had IQs higher than room temperature they would listen
to Herschel Walker’s call to fire Lemon for his degrading remarks); after a
crash, all of this nation’s highly expensive and highly stealth fighters, F-35s
have been grounded to inspect for suspected defective fuel tubes; on the drug
smuggling and illegal alien front, the U.S. has discovered another sophisticated
tunnel with solar panels and rail system 31 feet below the surface on the
border in Baja California; Rod Rosenstein who should be fired for flaunting and
trying to intimidate Congress has refused to testify before Congress on
allegations he wanted to wear a wire to try to invoke the 25th
Amendment against President Trump (Congress should subpoena this pathetic worm
or impeach him); on the destroy American values front, San Francisco School
Board President Stephen Cook has suspended the Pledge of Allegiance at the
beginning of meetings and replaced it with a line from Maya Angelou:; Emanuel’s
announcement that he will not seek reelection has not curbed the gun violence
as through October 10, 2018, 2388 people mostly of color have been shot by
mostly people of color, of whom 395 have died (when will Chicago get serious
about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns
a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of mostly people of color by mostly
people of color).
As always,
I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Kanye
West feat. Jamie Foxx, factoids of interest for this day in history, the
fact that unlike many of the resistance Blues you are not a nefandous person
and a relevant quote from a Congressional subcommittee investigating the USS Kitty Hawk riot, secure in the
knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college
graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the
Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price
tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for
details.
1. World Sight Day—created by the International Agency for the Prevention of
Blindness to focus globally on vision impairment and blindness.
2. International Day of the Girl Child—created in 2012
to promote the end of gender inequality for girls.
3. 2005 Number One Song— the number one song in 2005 on a run of 10 weeks in that
position was “Gold Digger’” by Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx. Here is a
recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vwNcNOTVzY
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we move from words beginning with
“m” to words beginning with “n” is “nefandous” which means
despicable, abominable which describes the antics of the left wing mobs
plaguing this nation to a tee.
5. The Big Wiesy—celebrating the birth on this day in 1989 of Michelle Wie Hawaiian
born professional golfer known for her long drives and fathom stature whose
goal is to be the first female to play in the Masters.
On this day in:
a. 1910 in a plane piloted by Alex Hosey, President Teddy
Roosevelt became the first president to fly in an airplane.
b. 1972 in a sad day for race relations in the U.S. Navy a race
riot broke out on the USS Kitty Hawk between
black and white sailors during Operation Linebacker off the coast of Vietnam.
c. 1987 first public display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt occurred
at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
d. 1991 Professor Anita Hill testified before the Senate
Judiciary Committee on alleged sexual misconduct of Clarence Thomas as hearings
(or as he referred to them a Senatorial lynching) were being held on his
confirmation as justice of SCOTUS.
e. 2001 Polaroid a victim of the digital camera age filed for
bankruptcy protection.
Reflections on the race riot aboard the USS Kitty Hawk: :”The Navy's recruitment
program for most of 1972 which resulted in the lowering of standards for
enlistment, accepting a greater percentage of mental category IV and those in
the lower half of category III, not requiring recruits in these categories to
have completed their high school education, and accepting these people without
sufficient analysis of their previous offense records, has created many of the
problems the Navy is experiencing today.” Congressional Subcomittee investigating
the Kitty Hawk race riot—frightening reminder of the fact that too often racial
tension is alive and well in all facets of American life..
