Ridley’s
Believe It Or Not For August 16, 2018 Newly
released emails and text messages show Bruce Ohr and
Chrisopher Steele along with the wife of Ohr, an employee at Fusion
GPS, were working hand in glove to funnel the Steele dossier loaded with
unvetted and salacious mistruths about Trump from Russian sources to the FBI
and take it before the FISA court while concealing that HRC and the DNC had paid
for it (that’s where the real Russian collusion lies and Mueller is totally MIA
in pursuing—talk about corruption); the left is going ballistic over Brennan’s
loss of his security clearance in echo chamber drumbeats that Brennan’s 1st Amendment
rights are being squashed (a clearance is a privilege not a right and Trump and
anyone in his administration would be fools to consult with him after his stunt
of calling the president guilty of treason and unfit to be president); so much
for the Michelle Obama myth that Democrats go high instead of low as black
House Democrat Betty Scott blasted her Chinese-American primary opponent as a “ching-chong”
and attacked her African-American husband for marrying her (the strategy of
racial slurs backfire as Ms. Scott lost and was forced to apologize but
demonstrates how fractured our political system has become); in a political
bait and switch Richard Ojeda, an Army veteran who claimed to have voted for
Trump is now slamming him and proposing a path to citizenship for illegal
aliens and opposing the building of the Wall; John Elway revealed that the
Broncos offered a chance for Colin Kaepernick to become a Bronco but Colin
turned down the offer; as the wildfires in California continue to rage, the
struggle has moved to the negotiating table where the state is trying to
improve its forest management system by clearing dead vegetation and effecting
controlled burns to the former bane of environmentalists; in Chicago while Rahm
Emanuel continues to imitate Nero
playing the fiddle through August 11, 2018 1890 people mostly of color have
been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 305 have died (when will Chicago
get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run
city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of mostly people of
color by mostly people of color and when will Emanuel who has been MIA resign
or be voted out of office?)
As always,
I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Sonny
and Cher,

1. National Non Profit Day—celebrated first on this day in 2017
to promote awareness of the contributions of nonprofits to our society and
welfare.
2. Baby Boomers Recognition Day—commemorating since 2011 the contributions to our culture, society
and economy of those born between 1946 and 1964 as the country returned to
normalcy following the end of World War II and the exodus of some 14 million
soldiers, sailors and airmen back into civilian life.
3. 1965 Number One Song— the number one song in 1965 on
a run of 3 weeks in that position was “I Got You Babe” by the Sonny and
Cher. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BERd61bDY7k
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “morphew”
which means a skin eruption the bane of too many teenagers.
5. Burn Baby Burn—celebrating or bemoaning depending on
your point of view of David Koresh, the head of the Branch Davidian cult in
Waco, Texas that was raided by ATF agents on February 28, 1993 which resulted
in a 51 day siege that culminated in a tank and tear gas assault on the compound
which caught fire burning to the ground killing 76 people many of them children.

to cross the Atlantic Ocean, arriving in Miserey, France 137 hours after leaving
Presque Isle, Maine.
c. 1998

physical relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and admitted he
had lied to the American people.

from Gaza.
e. 2008

Reflections on Waco
by one who survived the assault: “So many of the Davidians have been demonized by the media ... I
felt it my duty to tell the true story of a group of people who were trying to
live according to their religious beliefs and the teachings of a man they all
considered divinely inspired.” Waco: a Survivor’s Story, David
Thibodeau
