spoken and one can only hope the gridlock in Washington will come to an end. As
always hope you enjoy the holidays and observances, factoids and a quote from President

with almonds, blessed with a positive attitude even though you know you will
have to wade through tons of spam in your inbox, and secure in the knowledge

b. 1914 the first issue
of the New Republic was published.
c. 1910 the first air
freight shipment was made by the Wright Brothers between Dayton and Columbus,
Ohio shipping goods from department
store owner Max Morehouse.
d. 1967 Lyndon Johnson signed the Public
Broadcasting Act of 1967 creating the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
e. 1994 student radio station WXYC at
the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill aired the first internet radio
broadcast.

Public Broadcasting Corporation: ndapartheid: "Multi-year
financing for public broadcasting has been a long-sought objective as a means
of insulating this important medium of expression from the possibility of undue
governmental control. ...I believe the bill I have signed will significantly
enhance the ability of the public broadcasting community to continue providing
programing of excellence and diversity for the American people."
