1. International Day To End Impunity: commemorating on this day in 2009 the Ampatuan Massacre in the Philippines of 57 civilians including 32 journalists and media workers the deadliest attack of all times on the media and to create awareness of the need for free expression by artists, writers, poets, and journalists.
2. Mother Goose Day—founded in 1987 by author Gloria Delamar author of Mother Goose: From Nursery Rhymes to Literature to promote an appreciation for nursery rhymes the first step in a child’s journey of literacy and enjoying it.
4. Eat A Cranberry Day—celebrating that great bog berry whether eaten raw or in a cranberry sauce to accompany the Thanksgiving turkey.

b. 1963 the BBC broadcast the first episode of Dr. Who which became the longest running science fiction series in television history. c. 1993 the first Smartphone, the IBM Simon was introduced at Comdex in Las Vegas.
d. 2001 the Convention on Cybercrime was signed in Budapest, Hungary. Although 50 nations have signed the Convention, hacking by the Russians and Chinese to obtain identities and classified material and steal intellectual property remains a major problem.
e. 2007 in a déjà vu Titanic moment, the MV Explorer, an expedition cruise liner carrying 154 passengers sank in the Antarctic Ocean after hitting an iceberg; fortunately there were no fatalities.
