April 10, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Siblings Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For April 10, 2017  The poker game on North Korea continues as the U.S. Navy diverts a carrier task force back to waters off North Korea (when is China going to wake up to the fact that being allied with this fat mad man is not in their best interests?); G7 meeting in Italy with Syria most likely a topic of great concern (when will Putin come to his senses and drop Assad like a hot rock?); Gorsuch was sworn in today to fill the vacancy created by Scalia’s death (if Ginsburg retires or more likely dies, thanks to Schumer’s obstruction, another conservative justice will be appointed); you know that a leftist’s credibility is totally down the toilet when the Washington Post rightfully gives Susan Rice and by inference Obama four Pinnochios over her claims that diplomancy forced Assad to get rid of his chemical weapons; another shooting in San Bernardino at an elementary school in an apparent murder suicide with two bystander schoolchildren critically wounded and the rest of the class totally traumatized; in what has to be the height of PC idiocy and which will endanger the lives of ICE agents, Blue Representative  Nydia Velázquez has introduced legislation that would bar ICE agents from displaying “Police” on their uniforms (fortunately this legislation will not have a snowball’s chance in hell of passing but its introduction shows how bankrupt the Blues have become when it comes to the idea that to be a nation you need to have a border); the Islamist who killed four innocents has rightfully put a nail in the coffin of allowing unfettered immigration into Europe; Alabama now enduring a major sex scandal as its Red governor having divorced his wife of 50 years is being impeached over improper sexual advances to an aide (Red or Blue, if you can’t rein in the zipper you will rue);   almost like a stuck record or a remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continues unabated with total shootings in 2017 through April 9 increasing to 830 and the death toll rising to 153 (God help those poor minorities being shot mostly by minorities when the weather gets warmer and the shooters’ aim gets really better and there is more daylight to find and shoot victims) and yet nothing, absolutely nothing, appears to be occurring to address this blight on blacks and minorities which is what racism from a black mayor really looks like who appears to care only about the rights of illegal aliens in his sanctuary city  (when will Chicago residents through the city council try to impeach this pathetic, inept mayor?).

Reflections on siblings: “Certainly, people can get along without siblings. Single children do, and there are people who have irreparably estranged relationships with their siblings who live full and satisfying lives, but to have siblings and not make the most of that resource is squandering one of the greatest interpersonal resources you'll ever have.” Jeffrey Kluger, editor at large for Time Magazine Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs.
