September 23 History National Voter Registration Day

Ridley's Believe It Or Not—September 23. 2014Trust your Tuesday is proving to be a good one and that you enjoy the holidays and factoids and quote from Ray Charles with a smile on your sunscreened face, with a trip to IHOP in the works, blessed with a positive attitude, and secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for a memorable event, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem tailored to the event and the recipient.

          4. National Pancake Day—celebrating a great day to hop down to the closest IHOP for one of their delicious pancakes.
On this day in

Some words of wisdom from Ray Charles and why we should be charitable: “Affluence separates people. Poverty knits them together. You got some sugar and I don’t; I borrow some of yours. Nest month you might not have any flour; well, I will give you some of mine.” Ray Charles  What an amazing talent and testimony of how the human spirit can overcome adversity
