Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 9, 2020 The CV pandemic across the planet continues with 75,956 new cases (a 1.06 % increase compared to a 3.02% increase yesterday) to
bring the total to 7,235,432 cases, 3,261,811 of which are active, 3,973,611 of which have been closed with 3,564,103 recoveries (89.69% compared to yesterday’s 89.55%) and 409,508 deaths (10.31% compared to yesterday’s 10.45%); in the U.S. which has the dubious distinction of leading the world in total cases with new cases of 8,116 have brought total cases to 2,019,924 (a 1.92% increase compared to yesterday’s .4% increase) with 1,141,366 active cases of which 16,907 (16,897 yesterday) are in serious or critical condition and 886,674 closures, 113,164 of which have been deaths (12.76% compared to yesterday’s 12.83%) and 773,510 of which have been recoveries (87.24% compared to yesterday’s 87.24%) (our death rate percentages continue to improve since Cuomo repealed his order sending CV positive patients on May 10 but remain higher than the world probably due to idiots like Cuomo sending positive CV patients into nursing homes to infect the residents and staff who then die and hopefully the number of cases will not spike given the days of massive protests and riots over George Floyd’s death) with 22,097,843 tests; a Biden surrogate has expressed a feeling that most objective viewers know that Biden needs to stay in the basement to avoid displaying his proclivity for gaffes and stoking the concerns he is not mentally up to the task; in a glimpse into the future of what defunding the police would result hot mics at a meeting of Chicago aldermen and Mayor Lightfoot revealed a lot of anguish and anger over Floyd rioters claiming Chicago had become a “s—t” city; even though Hidin’ Biden has clinched the Blue nomination for president Blues are voting in primaries in Nevada and Georgia and the RNC is meeting in Phoenix to try to pick location for their national convention; the first example of collateral damage caused by the Floyd riots and the inability of the police to contain them occurred today as Sigma-7, a manufacturer that has been located in Minneapolis for 4 decades, is moving out of the city and taking its 50 jobs with it; the fired State Department IG is in hot water for violating the terms of his administrative leave by entering his office to obtain copies of official documents and records; the W.H.O. is having another flip flop session on the COVID-19 virus now retracting its earlier frightening warning that asymptomatic carriers could infect people and replaced that warning with a statement that infection by asymptomatic carriers is “very rare”; in another egregious do as I say not as I do moment Nury Martinez, L.A. City Council President who introduced a resolution to cut $150 million from the LAPD was safe and secure with a personal LAPD security detail from April to June to protect her at home (so typical of our political elite to put their interests over those of their constituents; in Chicago (the poster city of why we need more police not less and certainly not defunded), as of June 8, 2020, 1320 shootings of whom 239 have died (so much for the effectiveness of Chicago’s stay at home order); Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population and hoping against all hopes that 2020 will not be a record in terms of deaths is now 99 behind Chicago with 140 murders (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).

Reflections on the sinking of the RMS Lusitania : "In spite of all its horror, we must regard the sinking of the Lusitania as an event most important and favourable to the Allies. The poor babies who perished in the ocean attack struck a blow at German power more deadly than could have been achieved by the sacrifice of 100,000 men." Winston Churchill.
