Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For August 14, 2019 A federal judge has slammed Nadler, the Adler, now you see it now you don’t impeachment inquiry scam the system by quashing a request to link the subpoena request hearing of White House Counsel McCann with the grand jury investigating Russian collusion (you may disagree with the little snake but he is persistent even if means rejection ala Clinton impeachment by the voters in November; still an active shooting scene in the misnamed Nicetown, Philadelphia with 6 police officers wounded but have to fear the illegal alien supporter queen is claiming her gun control policies would have prevented the shooting (in a pig’s ear even if her wish to scrap the 4^th Amendment and confiscate all firearms were idiotically adopted); the FBI becomes more and more tarnished as more evidence surfaces that indicate that the FBI was indifferent to hacking by Chinese of her server while the State Department was to the max trying to protect her; Omar has opened her mouth and once again lowers the inanity bar attacking the Reds for attacking her bogus marriage and marrying her brother (incest may be legal in Sharia but not here as the former Miss Iraq slams her for failing not to represent her as a Muslim); the CBP won one for the good guys in confiscating $3.4 million of counterfeit luxury goods; on the Epstein death front and meat for the conspiracy dogs, the guards on his floor falsified their logs and were sleeping the time he died as the autopsy revealed broken neck bones which may be evidence of suicide but more likely to be found in strangulation by another person (the next bomb shell may well be that the cameras on the floor or on his cell were broken or not turned on); in Chicago through August 13, 2019, 1724 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, 287 of whom have died but none in the last two days,  a fraction of those dead from murders in Cape Town, South Africa but barely leading the 212 murdered in Baltimore (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?)

2. National Navaho Code Talkers Day—honoring the contributions of the Navaho speaking Marines in the Pacific whose language totally stymied the ability of the Japanese to break their code and whose efforts were created by a World War I veteran Phillip Johnston who grew up on a Navaho reservation with his missionary parents and spoke the language; the efforts were memorialized in the movie Windtalkers starring Nicholas Cage.       

3. 1993 Number One Song— the number one song in 1993 on a run of 4 weeks in that position was “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by UB40. 4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “plage” which means the beach at a seaside resort which is always a treat to visit if you can afford the room rates.

5. The First and Only—celebrating the birth on this day in 1966 of noted African-American actress Halle Berry who with her role in the movie Monster’s Ball and only African-American actress to win an Oscar for Best Actress.
     On this day in: 

     a. 1936 Rainey Bethea, an African American, had the dubious distinction of being hanged publicly in an execution witnessed by 20,000 spectators in Owensboro, Kentucky for murder and rape of a 70 year old woman.

    b. 1969 in an attempt to curb religious and sectarian violence, British Troops were deployed in Northern Ireland in Operation Banner, an effort that would last 37 years, the longest deployment in British military history.

c. 1975 The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the longest running movie in history opened in London.   

d. 2003 a massive electrical blackout in the Northeast occurred affecting some 10 million Canadians and 45 Americans and which took two days to two weeks to restore power.    

e. 2015 the American Embassy in Havana opened after 54 years after being closed due to Castro’s nationalization of American property.
