Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For September 20, 2017 The death toll in Mexico City from the 7.1 earthquake has soared past 200 and is expected to go much higher while Puerto Rico already reeling from the effects of Irma is being pounded by Maria with Cat 4-5 winds; California is no longer the Golden State but has degenerated into the Rogue State defying federal law by passing legislation on Blue votes to become a sanctuary state (how many more Kate Steinles have to die as a result of this insane action) and by announcing that the state would file suit to block construction of the Wall on sections of San Diego and Imperial County (time to see if we can pass legislation in the Swamp that any state or local government that refuses to cooperate with federal immigration authorities receives not a penny of federal aid); as the Reds try desperately to get the votes to repeal and replace Obamacare three RINOs, Collins, McCain, and Murkowski again stand in their way as millions suffer due soaring premiums for insurance mandated by faceless callous Swamp denizens that Main Street Americans do not want and cannot afford (is there not one Blue in the Senate to put country before party and cross the aisle to vote to repeal and replace?); another example of the left’s idea bank being totally NSF with FLOTUS being targeted for what she wore at a UN speech on bullying and the need to prevent it (amazing that with all our issues the left is fixated on complaining about what the most elegant and attractive FLOTUS ever to grace the White House is wearing (can you imagine the uproar if the media criticized Michelle’s taste in clothes?); through September 17, 2017 in Chicago the number of people being shot climbed to 2743 and the death toll again on the rise to 474 while the city seems to not be doing anything to prevent the killing and maiming of its minority residents—a real definition of racism which is deadly.

a. 622 Muhammad and Abu Bakr arrived in Medina and the march to create Islam in Arabia would soon begin and expand worldwide after Muhammad’s death.
b. 1863 the two day battle Chickamauga in Georgia came to an end with a Confederate victory; but the battle had the dubious distinction for those who fought there of being the bloodiest two day battle in the Civil War with casualties for both sides adding up to over 34,500 soldiers.
c. 1946 the first Cannes Film Festival was held in France.
d. 1971 Hurricane Irene, after making landfall from the Atlantic onto Nicaragua the previous day, crossed into the Pacific regained its hurricane status and was renamed Olivia, the first known hurricane to cross from the Atlantic into the Pacific.
e. 2017 129 nations including Iran signed a treaty banning the development, storage and use of nuclear weapons but unfortunately North Korea and all of the existing nuclear powers did not so the planet still is under the shadow of total annihilation in the event of all out nuclear war.
