Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For August 1, 2017 Venezuela whose economy has been destroyed by socialism will soon be ruled by a dictator ala Castro after a sham election (Maduro looks obese just like King Jung Un while the county looks like its whole population is on a forced NutriSystem program; will Trump expand sanctions now on Maduro to include the banning of importing of Venezuelan crude which would totally sink that pathetic example of socialism?); growing concern that because of a long relationship with Comey, Mueller does not have an independent bone in his body and should resign, a perception enhanced by his hiring of lawyers who donated to HRC’s failed campaign; pressure growing to have former DNC ideologue Debbie Wasserman Schultz testify before Congress on why she kept her Pakistani IT consultant on payroll until he was arrested for bank fraud while trying to flee the country; the new sheriff in town has a new sheriff as chief of staff who promptly asserted his authority by forcing Scaramucci out as communications director (enough drama Mr. President time to be adults and get tax reform and cuts); Schumer and his lackeys continue to obstruct the president by slow walking most confirmations of his appointees to key government positions; in another reaffirmation of why we need the 2nd Amendment two thugs broke into a woman’s house in Texas and were shot by the woman one of whom died and the other escaped; North Korea ought to take note of the fact that the U.S. will be conducting an ICBM test as a precursor of the dozens that could and should be showered on this obese lunatic’s nation if it does not terminate its nuclear program; through July 31, 2017 people have been shot in Chicago 384 of whom have died (sadly the ATF agents Trump has sent has not put a damper on the carnage).

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “invidious” which means likely to cause indignation against the performer which is what most of people outside the Swamp feel when watching the circus masquerading as the Senate.
5. Grateful To Be Dead—celebrating the birth on this day in 1942 of Jerry Garcia, lead guitarist and vocalist for the Grateful Dead whose heavy smoking, drug addiction and sleep apnea turned him into a physical wreck to sing his last note at the age of 53.
On this day in:

e. 2014 the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence went into force; sadly only 44 countries have seen fit to sign it so women in Muslim countries remain largely second class citizens.
Reflections on the dangers of domestic violence: “I did not know that the first step in any domestic violence relationship is to seduce and charm the victim. I also did not know that the second step is to isolate the victim. The next step in the domestic violence pattern is to introduce the threat of violence and see how she reacts. We victims know something you [non-victims] usually don't. It's incredibly dangerous to leave an abuser, because the final step in the domestic violence pattern is to 'kill her'. Over 70% of domestic violence murders happens after the victim has ended the relationship.” Leslie Morgan Steiner, noted blogger, businesswoman and author.
