          1. National Coming Out Day—creating since 1988 the need for acceptance of those who practice and adhere to a gay and lesbian life style.

          5.  Hard To Keep A Good First Lady Down—celebrating the birthday on this day in 1884 of Eleanor Roosevelt who survived her husband Franklin by 17 years and if you believe Hillary, was communicating after her death with her.

            b. 1929 J.C. Penny opened a store in Delaware to become a retailer with stores in all 48 states.
            c. 1972 an antiwar riot led by African-American sailors occurred of the coast of South Vietnam during Operation Linebacker which ultimately brought the North Vietnamese to the negotiating table in Paris for real.
            d. 1975 the iconic show Saturday Night Live premiered on NBC.
            e. 1984 Kathryn Sullivan on the Space Shuttle Challenger  became the first American female to accomplish a space walk while in orbit.
