       1. National Financial Awareness Day—created to encourage young adults fortunate enough in this economy leaving college and going into the work force and leaving the nest to start laying the financial cornerstones for a worry free retirement.                           2. National Navaho Codetalkers Day—proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan on this day in 1982 to commemorate the contribution of the Navaho Codetalkers in World War II memorialized by the movie Windtalkers starring Nicholas Cage.

      4. National Creamsicle Day—celebrating another great way to beat the heat.  
      5. Believe In Magic Day—celebrating on this day in 1959 the birthday of Magic Johnson, the creator of the triple double on the basketball court and one of the early survivors of AIDS—great basketball whose battles on the court with Larry Bird were classic.

       a. 1885 the first patent in Japan was issued to the inventor of rust proof paint.  
       b. 1935 President Roosevelt signed into law the Social Security Act which has become the security net for millions but is under great financial stress r.
       c. 1967 the UK Marine Broadcasting Offences Act went into effect, declaring offshore radio pirate stations illegal.
        d. 1975 the Rocky Horror Picture Show, the longest running play in history, opened in London.   

       e. 2015 the  United States reopened its embassy in Havana with a televised ceremony featuring our Secretary of State John Kerry but without the attendance of any of the Cuban dissidents who continue to be brutalized by the Castro regime and without payment to those American companies who had all their properties nationalized by Fidel Castro, whose birthday was celebrated today.                                       Reflections Reflections on Cuba and predictions that still have not yet come true: “Communism in Cuba will collapse sooner or later because you can't control the free flow of information. Communism prevents organizations from developing by stopping the flow of information. The system is based on police and listening devices and triggers the worst characteristics in humans.” Lech Walesa, the Polish labor leader and founder of Solidarity who was instrumental in breaking the back of Communism in Poland.
