near, blessed with a positive attitude, and secure in the knowledge that if you

1. Bear
Day—celebrating not the ursines of the world but bemoaning the birthday
on this day in 1952 of Vladimir Putin, the current thug par excellence of the
Russian Federation.
2. Nagasaki Kunchi—celebrated in Nagasaki,
Japan as an autumn festival with festivities and dragon dances; fortunately by
now all the radiation from the second atomic bomb being dropped on Japan has
dissipated so if attending one would not glow in the dark.
3. National Frappe
Day—celebrating that great iced coffee drink that originated in Greece
in 1957.
