Ridley's Believe It Or Not—October 11,
2014: Trust your Weekend is off to a good start and that you

but a win and defense looked great.
1. International
Day of the Girl Child—declared by the U.N. on October 11, 2012 to
promote more opportunity for girls, and increased
awareness of inequality faced by girls
worldwide based upon their gender including in such areas as
access to education, nutrition, legal rights, medical care, and
protection from discrimination, violence and unfree child marriage. I suspect,
sadly, not celebrated in many of the countries in the Islamic world.
2. General Pulaski Memorial—celebrated to honor General Kazimierz,
a Polish baron who fought for the Americans in the Revolutionary War and who
was mortally wounded during the American siege of Savannah in 1789.
3. National Face
Your Fears Day—honoring those people who have faced a myriad of fears
and overcome them.
4. National Sausage
Pizza Day—celebrating that great dish that is a joy to share with
friends especially from my perspective those who enjoy anchovies.
5. Pass The
Ketchup Please Day—celebrating the birthday of H.J. Heinz on this day in
1844 who went on to form Heinz Corporation in 1876.
On this day in
a. 1906 in one of our less honorable
moments the San Francisco School Board
required that Japanese-Americans must be taught in segregated schools,
provoking a diplomatic crisis with Japan.
b. 1972 in another less honorable moment
a race riot broke out on the USS Kitty
Hawk off the coast of Vietnam during Operation Linebacker (which forced the
North Vietnamese to come to the negotiating table to end the Vietnam War).

George Carlin as the host premiered on NBC.57.
d. 1986 President Reagan and
Soviet Premier Michail Gorbachev met in Reykjvik, Iceland to attempt to
continue discussions on reducing their arsenal of IRBM nuclear missiles.
The War on Women begins with the discrimination and domination of
girls: “A woman is human. She is not better,
wiser, stronger, more intelligent, more creative, or more responsible than a
man. Likewise, she is never less. Equality is a given. A woman is human.” Vera Nazarian The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration The only silver lining in the feudal
treatment by females in Sharia is that any society using the talents of only
half its population is doomed to fail.
