Ridley's Believe It Or Not November 12, 2020
CV World Cases: The
CV pandemic across the planet continues with 605,650 new
cases (a 1.16% increase compared to a 1.57% increase yesterday) to
bring the total over 51 million to 52,889,006, 14,707,492
of which are active, 38,181,584 of which have been closed
with 36,886,021 recoveries (96.61% compared
to yesterday’s 96.60%) and 1,295,493 deaths (3.39% compared to
yesterday’s 3.40%) to continue the trend of increased recovery percentages
and the trend of increased recovery percentages.
CV USA Cases: New cases of 138,570 with
total cases over 10 million at 10,633,715 (a 1.30% increase compared to
yesterday’s 3.21% increase) with 3,858,710 active cases of
which 18,718 (.49% of active cases), recently on a disturbing upward trend with
slight blips from a high of 19,155 on July 23 (19,033 yesterday and
15,881 on September 1), are in serious or critical
condition as trend has shifted and may be continuing to go up, and 6,913,576
closures, 247,859 of which have been deaths (3.59% compared to yesterday’s
3.59%) and 6,665,717 of which have been recoveries (96.41% compared
to yesterday’s 96.41%) (our death rate percentages continue to improve and are
finally in single digits since Cuomo repealed on May 10 his order sending
CV positive patients to nursing homes and ADL facilities and on a deaths per
million population measurement at 747 ranks behind Belgium (1185), Peru (1057), Spain
(865), Brazil (767), Chile (767), Argentina (761) and Bolivia (752), and
only slightly worse than (Mexico (745), UK (740), Ecuador (730). Italy (721),
newly added to the list France (658) and Sweden (605) that never closed its
economy down like we did and we have now conducted 1,537,228 more tests to
bring total to 163,454,795 tests (now at 492,754/M compared to Russia
at 461,417/M so Trump is telling truth that we conduct more tests in number and
on a per capital basis for nations (other than those nations that contain small
populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Singapore and UAE) but
for the U.K. which remains off the testing charts with tests at 551,825/M).
Non CV Case News: On the litigation front, the
Trump team has won a minor victor forcing ballots received after November 9 without
proof of identification cannot be accepted; Stacy Abrams is hinting she is going
to run for Governor of Georgia again (probably emboldened by close races for
Senate and President in Georgia); Governor “Fredo” new lockdown orders are
being slammed by bar owners, restaurateurs for being economic disasters for businesses
(what credibility does this man have after he sent thousands of elderly to
their deaths and still refuses to release statistics of the nursing home carnage);
to the detriment of kids trapped in Blue run inner cities Biden appears to be a
captive of the National Education Association and leaning to appoint as
Secretary of Education those who oppose charter schools that seem to educate
far better than most public schools; Chris Hayes not content with an apparent
Biden victory has gone off the deep edge claiming the entire Republican Party
is trying to spread the CV pandemic because they believe that families should have
the right to celebrate Thanksgiving; Chinese cartels seem to be operating in
Mexico, adding to the tidal wave of meth and fentanyl streaming across our
southern border; CV pandemic notwithstanding
the Masters is being played at Augusta and Tiger Woods ended his first round
play at a 4 under 68 looking for his second in a row Masters title;
the silver lining in a Biden win for Los Angeles is that the city may rid
itself of a pathetic mayor by Biden selecting him to fill a position in the Biden
Administration.
Chicago/Baltimore Gun Violence: In Chicago as
of November 9, 2020, the number of shootings increased to
3,700 of whom 636 have died (total travesty of BLM when blacks are shot and
killed by blacks in droves and only sounds of silence and complete absence of
any protests in front of City Hall demanding action to curb the killings and
shootings); Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population and hoping
against all hopes that 2020 will not be a record in terms of deaths but now
seems to be shooting less and killing less and is now 346 behind Chicago at 290
murders (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is
this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind
eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the
left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been way more deadly and way
more numerous than shootings by police
or by random mass shootings which occur far much less.
As always, I
hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for

to be vaccinated against this killer.
2. International Guinness World Records Day—first celebrated on November 9, 2005 then on

of the song by this 26 year old up and coming artist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PCkvCPvDXk .
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “potable” which means fit to drink
which is always a great characteristic for a beverage one is to consume to
possess.
5. To Bridge the Gap—celebrating
the birthday on this day in 1920 of Richard Quinne, noted childhood actor who
aged into adult acting roles and directing but was bothered with health issues
and so depressed shot himself to death on June 10, 1989 to die at 68.
On
this day in:
