Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For January 7, 2020 Iran has evidently called Trump’s bluff and launched dozens of surface to surface missiles at U.S. bases in Iraq and we now on pins and needles wait for U.S. response as market is down in aftermarket hours; McConnell’s patience with hide the Impeachment Articles Nancy appears to be nearing an end as he announced he has the votes to begin trial without an agreement on witnesses (Pelosi in sitting on the Articles probably thought she could delay trial to election and count on the ignorance of many Americans that impeachment does not mean a president is guilty which is a said statement of affairs on the quality of our American Government education classes in our educational system); CNN has had to pay the price for its biased and false coverage of Nicholas Sandman’s confrontation with a Native American elder while wearing a MAGA hat as it announced it has reached a settlement with him (amount not disclosed buy hope it is large enough to put damper on CNN’s anti-Trump “fake news” bias; the judge hearing Sandman’s suit against the Washington Post has reopened the case allowing it to proceed; Warren is being pounded for her trying to straddle the terrorist fence, agreeing that Soleimani was a terrorist but that his killing was an assassination (she better pray that if the evidence is not clear and convincing that he was planning an attack on us that without him was thwarted); Michael Moore in an egotistical narcissistic fit apes Rose McGowan and issues an apology to Iran for our killing Soleimani (does he really believe that his statement will allay Iranian reactions?); in a refreshing act in response to the question “who judges the judges?” the Judicial Commission of Kentucky has suspended Family Court Justice Dawn Gentry for a host of improprieties like ménage a trios in her chambers with employees (reptilian brains not barred by gender or robe barriers); in yet another reason why someone should not drink and drive, Mashaylaya Harper, a 4th grade teacher 8 months pregnant coming back from her baby shower was hit by a DUI driver, losing her unborn child and left lying in critical condition along the road (fortunately this DUI driver with multiple prior DUI convictions later turned himself in but raises the question of why he was able to drive in the first place?) we all can agree that homelessness is a grooving problem but a MacDonald’s in Sacramento is on the wrong track, aping the past successful efforts of the U.S. Army to force Noriega to leave the Vatican Embassy in Panama City by play deafening rock music by playing bagpipes to the dismay of the neighbors to drive the homeless away; in Chicago, as of January 6, 2020, 41 people have been shot of whom 7 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population and hoping against all hopes that 2020 will not be a record in terms of deaths has suffered 5 murders by shootings (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).

Reflections on the Charle Hebdo Massacre from someone marked for death because of his writings by the Ayatollah Khomeini: “Religion, a mediaeval form of unreason, when combined with modern weaponry becomes a real threat to our freedoms. This religious totalitarianism has caused a deadly mutation in the heart of Islam and we see the tragic consequences in Paris today. I stand with Charlie Hebdo, as we all must, to defend the art of satire, which has always been a force for liberty and against tyranny, dishonesty and stupidity. ‘Respect for religion’ has become a code phrase meaning ‘fear of religion.’ Religions, like all other ideas, deserve criticism, satire, and, yes, our fearless disrespect." I Stand With Charlie Hebdo, as We All Must (Wall Street Journal, January 7, 2015)”― Salman Rushdie
