Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For January 16, 2020 The Impeachment
Circus has begun with the ringmaster barely able to hold her glee as she signed
the Articles and then passed out pens to her lackeys as Justice Roberts swore
in the 100 Senators who with straight faces on the Blue side of the aisle
intoned their impartiality (believe that especially those who ran or are
running for his job and fear like Rep Green admitted “We can’t beat him so we
must impeach him as you believe in the tooth fairy); “trial” starts tomorrow
and be alert for the sound bites making a case for or against impeachment; the
inane policy of sanctuary cities has claimed another victim, this time in NYC
as an illegal alien released despite a detainer request from ICE is back in
custody for the murder of a 92 year old woman (wonder in that cowardly idiot De
Blasio will show his face at her funeral?); in a potentially damaging report to
Trump the IG for the GAO indicated that by withholding funds to Ukraine, the
Trump Administration broke the law a contention the OMB has strongly opposed;
while Ilhan Omar continues to bite the hand that lifted her out of Somali
refugee camp, an Iraqi refugee, Dalia al-Aqidi, is running as a Red to replace
her joining a field of 5 other Reds and 2 Blues seeking to replace this
anti-Semite BDS incumbent (RNC should remain neutral in primary but hopefully
open war chest to defeat Omar if she wins her primary; Trump needs to add as a
corollary to “Keep America Great Again” “It’s the unemployment rate stupid”
(with apologies to Clinton) as the average unemployment rate during his first
35 months has been better only by George Bush in his first term; President
Trump must have heard Sanders intone after being sworn in the Senate must walk
and chew gum at the same time as Trump always working to better America will be
attending the economic summit at Davos (probably will enjoy the envy as the
markets closed to all time highs as the Dow has it sights on 30,000); in
Chicago, as of January 15, 2020, 74 people have been shot of whom 13 have died;
Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population and hoping against all hopes
that 2020 will not be a record in terms of deaths is still ahead of Chicago and
suffered 15 murders by shootings (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about
this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf
ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and
when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run
cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass
shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and
observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link

1 Number One Song— the number one song in 1934 on this day on a run of 2

succumbing to cancer and Al after recording some 1000 songs was killed by a
Luftwaffe parachute bomb on April 16, 1941 in London.

after a brief standoff and in response to over 1000 assault rifle rounds fired
at them, shot flares and tear gas into his house on December 8, 1984 killing
him by smoke inhalation when the house caught fire.

Reflections
on space travel before the disaster:”Hello from above our magnificent planet
Earth. The perspective is truly awe-inspiring....I have seen some incredible
sights: lightning spreading over the Pacific, the Aurora Australis lighting up
the entire visible horizon...the crescent moon setting over the limb of
Earth... Every orbit we go over a slightly different part of the Earth...
Whenever I do get to look out, it is glorious. Even the stars have a special
brightness. I've seen my ‘friend' Orion several times. ... I feel blessed to
be here representing our country and carrying out the research of scientists
around the world. ...Thanks to many of you who have supported me and my
adventures throughout the years. This was definitely one to beat all. I hope
you could feel the positive energy that beamed to the whole planet as we glided
over our shared planet. Love to all, Laurel." Mission Specialist Laurel
Clark e-mail to family and friends during STS-107 before its reentry disaster.
