Ridley’s
Believe It Or Not For June 21, 2019 President Trump acknowledged he call off a
retaliatory strike that was in the air heading toward Iranian missile sites and
radars 10 minutes before bombs would be falling over concerns it would cause
150 casualties (wise move or reaction of the Blues urging caution but raising
question of whether inaction will incite bolder strikes by Iran?); United
Airlines has rerouted flights to Middle East away from Iranian airspace in
response to Iran’s actions; anti-Trumpster Joe Scarborough while expressing
relief that Trump called off his air strikes seems to be advocating the failed
Obama idea of leading from behind by indicating we should not institute
military action unless our allies are standing shoulder to shoulder with us;
Gorsuch and Kavanaugh disagreed in a 7-2 SCOTUS reversal of a death sentence
after six trials in which the prosecutor seeking the the death penalty excluded
41 or the 42 prospective black jurors ( while the State of Georgia try this
accused killer again?); as the death toll of American tourists in the Dominican
Republic has risen to 11, Dominican Republic tourist officials are slamming the
media for its reporting while the world is still waiting for toxicology reports
conducted by FBI (high stakes as tourism is a big component of that country’s
economy); the new McCarthy on the left AOC continues to prove she needs to take
her idiocy and go back to bartending as the man she defeated Joe Crowley is
backing in a New York primary race for District Attorney the opponent of the
candidate she supports (wonder if Crowley would run again to oust her in 2020
Blue primary?); cell phone texting has forever altered communication between teens
as it replaces face to face and phone conversation but evidence is appearing that
it is beginning to alter the human anatomy urging the growth of bone spurs on
the back of teens’ necks; Biden’s past is catching up with him in the Blue
primary race for the Oval Office as he touted in the past the 1992 crime bill
as doing everything but hanging for jaywalking; Fox is being chastised for her
mishandling of the Smollett case as a special prosecutor has just been
appointed; must be interesting times in the Conway household as Kellyanne’s
husband is slamming Trump, demanding he resign; through June 20, 2019 1149
people have been shot in Chicago of whom 216 have died (what makes
the Smollett case so frustrating and why the appointment of a special prosecutor
should be applauded, is that it forced
the city of Chicago to allocate scarce detective resources when in only 9% of
the shootings resulting in murder have a suspect being charged this year).

who introduced the zither to millions zithered no more on January 10, 1985 at

4. Word
of the Day—today’s word of the day as we move from words beginning with “o”
to words beginning with “p” is “peripatetic” which means itinerant which
describes military families to a tee and why we should respect the idea that
they serve also.
5. Suit
Up and Show Up with Class:—celebrating the birth on this day of
1951 of Craig Sager, a noted TV sportscaster noted for his colorful and
flamboyant suits who was diagnosed with leukemia in April, 2014, had it go into
remission following a bone marrow transplant from his son only to be deflated
by its return from remission in late March 2015 prompting another bone marrow
transplant but dying on December 15, 2016.

Reflections
on comparing the two Solstices: “At the Summer Solstice, all is green and
growing, potential coming into being, the miracle of manifestation painted
large on the canvas of awareness. At the Winter Solstice, the wind is cold,
trees are bare and all lies in stillness beneath blankets of snow.” Gary Zukav,
noted American spiritual teacher and best selling author.
