“I said no he said” moment President Trump is being slammed by Blue
Congresswoman Frederica Wilson for remarks he allegedly said to the widow of a
soldier recently killed in Niger fighting terrorists and the press is going ape
over the controversy while completely ignoring the Uranium One deal bought and
paid for with donations to the Clinton Foundation and a huge speaking fee for
Bill to speak in Moscow (so typical of the MSM); fireworks of witness badgering
and lecturing led by an ex-comedian Al Franken and Diane Feinstein against AG
Sessions before the Senate Judiciary Committee; the Bobsey Twins, Mueller and
Comey are back in the news as revelations are surfacing that the FBI knew of
Russian attempts to bribe decision makers on the Uranium One deal but failed to
act to prevent Hillary from signing off on the deal (Grassley asked about DOJ’s
investigation of Russian involvement but Sessions would not comment on an
ongoing investigation so there is hope that the DOJ is pursuing an active
investigation which the Russian collusion delusion fiasco is designed to shift
focus away from HRC’s activities); Chris Cuomo, an anchor on the Cack News Network’
is back on the insult trail again calling a Trump supporter a “lemming” showing
his bias and better yet showing his ignorance in that contrary to popular
belief lemmings do not engage in mass suicide by jumping off cliffs; Newsweek already plagued by sloppy
editing and declining sales now may be facing several sexual discrimination
lawsuits former female journalists Huff Post after a nine week study has
reported; the bull market led by hopes
of a tax cut is still alive and well with the Dow closing above 23,000 for the
first time in history but unlike yesterday no real bull was roaming the streets
of Manhattan; almost a stuck record or a gruesome remake of Groundhog
Day, Chicago style, the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with
total shootings in 2017 through October 16 increasing to 3038 and the death
toll increased to 528 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the
killings of minorities by minorities.

5. Like Grandfather Like Granddaughter—celebrating the
birth on this day in 1950 of noted playwright Wendy Wasserstein who followed
the footsteps of her grandfather who was also a noted playwright but who sadly
had her pen taken away on January 30, 2006 due to leukemia.

a. 1648 Boston shoemakers formed the first labor organization in
the colonies.
b. 1898 in a move that it probably regrets today given the
bankruptcy of Puerto Rico and the billions it will cost to repair the damage from
two back to back hurricanes, Harvey and Irma, the U.S. took possession of
Puerto Rico from Spain.
c. 1929 the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council overruled
Canada’s Supreme Court’s decision in Edwards v.Canada, ruling that women
were “persons” under Canadian law.
d. 1951 at Cologne, West Germany the Studio for Electronic Music
was established making it the first modern
recording studio.
e. 1954 Texas Instruments announced the TR-! the world’s first commercially
successful transistor radio.
