October 30, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National Publicists Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 30, 2017 Surprise, surprise the Cack New Network was factually correct—Manafort and Gates were indicted and were arraigned today with the magistrate setting a bond of $10 million for Manafort and $5 million for Gates; unfortunately for the Blue impeachment fanatics none of the charges related to the collusion delusion with Russia but rather their lobbying for Ukraine without registering as a foreign lobbyist; in an omen for hard times ahead for the DNC and HJC, Tony Podesta, the brother of John Podesta, has resigned from the lobbying firm that he and his brother John founded blaming who else but Fox; George Papadopoulus, a former volunteer foreign policy adviser on a group that meets infrequently to advise Trump’s campaign was arrested in July and pled guilty to lying to the FBI (flash to John Podesta and Wasserman Schultz lying to Congress about the funding of the Trump dossier prepared by Fusion GPS is also a crime); Mueller is hopelessly conflicted on the Uranium One deal approved by the FBI and HJC along with 7 other agencies by not disclosing criminal activity of Rossatom influencing the approval (the FBI informant who spent 5 years of his life undercover will destroy any doubt of the existence of illegal quid pro quo involving that deal); as the Uranium One deal scandal continues to unfold look for the unprecedented Congressional subpoena of Holder and possibly Obama as to what they knew and when they knew it; if the Uranium One deal is keeping the Blues up at night, the utilization of the false Trump dossier paid for by the HJC campaign and the DNC (lied about under oath by Podesta and Wasserman-Shultz) was used by  the Obama administration to unmask Trump supporters and members of his transition team for political intimidation purposes which is really scary and was the basis for appointing a special counsel who if he does not resign and will not investigate the quid pro quo surrounding the Clintons and their foundation should be fired and another impartial nonconflicted counsel should be appointed to so investigate and hopefully wrap up the Russian collusion delusion and move to what is far more troubling the quid pro quo scandal of the Clintons and their foundation and the millions spent in payment of the creation of the dossier; on the Hollywood sexual depravity front, Netflix announced that this season for “House of Cards” will be its last due to allegations of improper sexual advances by Kevin Spacey (who had just come out of the closet) against at the time 14 year old actor Anthony Rapp; on the entertainment front, maybe Main Street America is finally getting fed up with the leftist stars and directors that constantly belittle them and showing it at the box office for Suburbicon  which was directed by George Clooney and starred Matt Damon and cost $35 million to produce and distribute but took in a paltry $2.8 million in its first week; almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 29 increasing to 3144 and the death toll increased to 544 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a relevant quote from Ivanka Trump on passion and success, a music link to Boyz II Men, factoids of interest for this day in history, while being careful to in the pursuit of your goals hit the laches roadblock, but secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. International Orthopedic Nurses Day—celebrating the contributions in the OR of orthopedic nurses in all phases of orthopedic surgery—from firsthand experience with 4 knee operations and 1 knee replacement these nurses are vital before, during and after especially when the anesthetics taken in surgery start to wear off.
2. National Publicist Day—ever since Ivy Lee created the first press release on this day in 1906, publicists have been a critical means for companies, politicians, and government officials to communicate with the public with good news and get ahead of the breaking bad news and in the 24/7 world of social media that often goes viral absolutely essential.
3. 1992 Number One Song—the number one song in 1992 on a long run of 13 weeks in that position was “End of the Road” by Boys II Men. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDKO6XYXioc
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “laches” which means an undue or negligent delay in enforcing a right or making a claim to the detriment of the defendant.
5. Model Daughter—celebrating the birth on this day in 1981 of Ivanka Trump who left the world of modeling because she thought it to be too catty and instead pursued a business career as a real estate developer first with an outside firm and then with her father like her two brothers while developing her own clothing line. A very trusted adviser to President Trump although compared to the MSM she must feel that models are saints while the press, other than Fox, are the equivalent of man eating tigers.
On this day in:
a. 1831 slave Nat Turner was captured in Southampton County, Virginia putting an end to the largest and deadliest slave and free black rebellion in U.S. history. Nat Turner would be tried, convicted and then executed on November 11, 1831.                                           b. 1905 in a too little, too late moment Czar Nicholas II executed the October Manefesto which granted some basic rights to Russia’s citizens long suffering under his autocratic rule.
c. 1938 Orson Welles broadcasted on the radio H.G. Welles War of the World in a far too realistic fashion causing 1000’s of Americans to believe that we were being invaded by aliens from Mars.
d. 1945 in a what took us so long moment Jackie Robinson of the Kansas City Monarchs signed a contract to play baseball with the Brooklyn Dodgers to break the color line and will probably be rooting frantically for them tomorrow as the Dodgers are down 3-2 to the Houston Astros.
e. 2014 Sweden became the first nation in the EU to recognize the state of Palestine.
Reflections on how to succeed by the birthday girl: “Love what you do. There's always going to be someone else who's smarter than you, but there's no substitute for passion. People who are passionate always work the hardest, and that sets them apart.” Ivanka Trump She is absolutely right on this point. Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. October 27, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Navy Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 27, 2017 The Russian collusion with respect to the DNC and the Clintons is no delusion as we await the testimony of the FBI informant before Congress now that his NDA has been lifted that may put HJC (J stands for Judas as she sold 20 percent of our uranium not for 30 pieces of silver but $145 M to the foundation and $500 k speaking fee to Bill) in jail, Mueller out of his job as special prosecutor and  Podesta and other key DNC officials in jail where they belong; an unanswered question of whether the false anti Trump dossier was used to enable Obama officials like Susan Rice and Susan Power to unmask Trump supporters which is really troubling in terms of our 4th Amendment; justice has finally prevailed in the class action lawsuit brought on behalf of conservative Tea Party groups as the IRS admitted it was wrong and has agreed to pay a “substantial sum” to the plaintiffs (too bad that lying weasel Lois Lerner was not also named as a defendant); on the teacher sex front, 26 year old Allyson Moran, a a married but probably not for long substitute teacher has been charged with having sex with one of her minor students and if convicted faces 15 years in prison; Podesta and Wasserman Schultz are in perjury hot water in that when testifying before Congress last month both lied by denying that the DNC and the HJC campaign did not pay Fusion GPS for the Trump dossier when we now know they paid over $6M;  almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 25 increasing to 3112 and the death toll increased to 540 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a relevant quote from Sylvia Plath on poetry, a music link to Janet Jackson, factoids of interest for this day in history, while pondering whether you are up to buying a labet, but secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. Navy Day—celebrating the contribution to our national security by the Navy since first celebrated on October 27, 1922; the date was chosen because it is also the birthday of one of this nation’s staunchest supporters of the Navy, Teddy Roosevelt, former president and Secretary of the Navy and instrumental in causing the Great White Fleet to sail around the globe on a show the flag voyage.
2. World Day of Audio Visual Heritage—created by UNESCO to promote awareness of the need and the means to preserve audio visual recording and celebrated since 2005.
3. 1990 Number One Song—the number one song in 1990 on a run of 1 week in that position was “Black Cat” by that singer famous for her Super Bowl Halftime prop failure performance Janet Jackson. Here is a recording of the song:

5. To Be Immortal—celebrating the birth on this day in 1932 of noted poet and author of the Bell Jar Sylvia Plath who wrote the Bell Jar and the poetry collections Ariel and Colossus in a depressed mood after her husband left her for another woman in 1962. She committed suicide on February 11, 1963 and is the first person to receive a Pulitzer Prize posthumously for Ariel which was published after her death.
On this day in:
a. 1981 in a navigational oops moment a Russian Whiskey Class submarine ran aground on the east coast of Sweden. The incident became known as Whiskey on the Rocks; the diesel electric submarine is now museum.
b. 1988 after discovery of listening devices installed by the Russians in our new  Moscow Embassy under construction, President Reagan suspended construction.
c. 1992 navy radioman Allen Schindler, Jr. was murdered by shipmate Terry Helvey for being gay; the murder precipitated a debate over having gays in the military and resulted in the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that was instituted by President Clinton on February 28, 1994 and ended by President Obama on September 20, 2011.
d. 2014 Britain withdrew all of its troops from Afghanistan ending a fight against terrorists there that had commenced in 2002.
e. 2017 Catalonia declared its independence from Spain which Spain rejected and moved to take over direct control .
Reflections on the effect of poetry the birthday girl who would have been 85 today: “I saw the gooseflesh on my skin. I did not know what made it. I was not cold. Had a ghost passed over? No, it was the poetry."

October 29, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Stroke Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 29, 2017 The denizens inside the Swamp beltway are besides themselves over who has been indicted by Mueller’s grand jury if the Cack News Network report is accurate; needless to say the revelations that the Clinton  Campaign and the DNC paid millions to fund the anti Trump dossier produced by Fusion GPS has raised a storm of outrage except among die hard HJC supporters; Mueller was heading up the FBI when it was first investigating Russian bribery yet did little (the FBI informant who will soon testify before Congress should drop some real bombshells involving HJC’s quid pro quo with the Uranium One deal and her campaign’s and the DNC’ involvement with the Trump Russian Collusion Delusion; like the servers she had totally wiped clean, she and her minions and the DNC and its minions seem to have no recall of their involvement of the millions paid to Fusion GPS and are spending all their time dodging the Russian collusion delusion that is drawing a bead on all of them); we know that the MSM is completely biased against Trump but at least the tiny flame of integrity still burns as strong anti Trump bashers like the News York Times are expressing outrage over the lies to them on the funding of the dossier (time to subpoena before Congress Podesta and Wasserman Schultz to expose their prior perjury on the issue of funding the dossier, impanel a grand jury and indict them and determine how many Trump supporters and campaign advisers were unmasked using the erroneous dossier to obtain warrants to intercept their communications—a real threat to our democracy); however pathetic the refusal to stand during our National Anthem is Bob McNair hopefully has learned that over the top rhetoric like “We can’t have the inmates run the prison” needs to be sacked even as ratings continue to slide; for Harvey Weinstein the number of accusers grows each passing day and we now know that the male reptilian brain is alive and well in the newsrooms as O’Reilly has settled with his numerous accusers for $32 M and Mark Halperin is apologizing publicly for his dalliances as Showtime as a result of the allegations has dropped him from The Circus; almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 28 increasing to 3133 and the death toll increased to 543 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a relevant quote from Tom Frieden on physical activity, a music link to Karyn White, factoids of interest for this day in history, while being disgusted over the lacertilian activities of the Harvey Weinsteins of the world, but secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. World Stroke Day—created by the World Stroke Organization in 2006 to create awareness of the dangers of strokes and the what people must do to reduce their risk of having one, like the estimated 15 million that suffer one each year, only 4 million of whom survived without death or permanent disability (good place to start would be to not smoke and if you do stop).
2. World Psoriasis Day—created by the IFPA in 2004 to promote awareness of the skin disease and research for better medications to control its spread and to also reduce the stigma for those who suffer from it.
3. 1991 Number One Song—the number one song in 1991 on a run of 1 week in that position was “Romantic” by Karyn White. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mu-ty0dC9k4
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “lacertilian” which means of or pertaining to lizards which in so far as it relates to sexual activity describes the unwanted advances of the Harvey Weinsteins that infest Hollywood these days.
5. You Need More Than Loving You Need a Little Help from Your Robed Friends—celebrating the birth on this day in 1933 of Richard Loving, a construction worker and race car driver, who fell in love with a Mildred Jeter who was of African American and Native American descent, married her and was told that the marriage violated Virginia’s Racial Integrity Act, and was informed the couple would have to leave the state. Litigation was brought by the ACLU to invalidate the law which SCOTUS so ruled in the case of Loving v. Virginia in 1967. Sadly the now legally married couple did not get the chance to live a long married life as a DUI driver hit their car on June 29, 1975 killing Richard and causing his wife to lose one eye.
On this day in:
a. 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky Muhammad Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, won his first professional fight.
b. 1969 the first computer to computer link occurred on ARPANET, the precursor to the internet and the internet age was about to begin.
c. 1994 Francisco Martin Duran fired 29 shots at the White House in an attempt to assassinate President Clinton, was tackled by three citizens, arrested by the Secret Service, tried and convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to 40 years in prison where he sits today with a projected release of date of 2029.
d. 2004 Al Jazeera broadcasted a video of Osama bin Laden where he accepted responsibility for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.
e. 2015 China ended its one child policy to the endearment of parents, especially parents whose first child was a girl.
Reflections on strokes: “Physical activity--even if you don't lose an ounce, you'll live longer, feel healthier and be less likely to get cancer, heart disease, stroke and arthritis. It's the closest thing we have to a wonder drug.” Tom Frieden, former head of the CDC and now the head of Resolve, a nonprofit targeting stroke and heart attack prevention and the preparation for combating pandemics. October 25, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Lung Health Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 25, 2017 A one two punch that will KO the Clintons finally—first the Uranium One Deal with an FBI informant soon to be freed of the NDA that has prevented him from speaking to Congress with the DOJ Lynch mob having threatened him with criminal prosecution if he spoke to Congress (that smells, looks like and quacks like true obstruction of justice as opposed to firing an incompetent spineless FBI director) and punch two is the revelation that Clinton campaign operatives funded Fusion GPS that hired a former British intelligence officer to create the fake anti-Trump dossier to explain why the most pathetic candidate in modern history had the election “stolen” from her by the false Russian delusion; Hell hath no fury than a coronation queen in waiting scorned by the voters whose Russian collusion delusion was the perfect storm to sell her latest book to justify her loss; finally the potential treason of the quid pro quo scandal involving the Uranium One Deal will soon see the light of day as Senator Grassley is now calling for an independent counsel to be appointed (if the Blues had any sense at all they would be clamoring to demand the same thing and drop HRC and her predator husband like a disgraced hot rock); only in America can a washed up quarterback sign a million dollar book deal with Random House—if the reports are true Colin Kaepernick must be laughing all the way to the bank and the editor will not be looking forward to the future grilling by his board when the book flops; in yet another example of the politization of an agency that really, really needs to be above politics, emails are being released that clear show Eric Holder’s DOJ was actively involved in preventing conservative groups from receiving settlements  negotiated by the DOJ against companies that it was prosecuting thereby confirming all along Trump’s charges that the DOJ was administering a slush fund for liberal groups;  almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 24 increasing to 3093 soon to be surpassed and the death toll increased to 536 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Janet Jackson, factoids of interest for this day in history, hoping you are able to practice labiomancy, and  a relevant quote from Katy Perry on ambition, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. International Artist Day—created by noted Canadian Romantic Realism artist Chris MacClure to honor the contributions of artists since humans first started painting on cave walls; celebrate by going to an art gallery or museum or better yet buy a painting.
2. Lung Health Day—created by the American Association of Respiratory Care to promote awareness of the damage to lungs of smokers and nonsmokers caused by smoking and other pollutants.
3. 1989 Number One Song—the number one song in 1989 on a run of 4 weeks in that position was “Miss You Much” by that singer famous for her Super Bowl Halftime prop failure performance Janet Jackson. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVF0zcqr9Dg
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “labiomancy” which means the reading of lips which unfortunately for George H.W. Bush the viewers did and his tax increases doomed his attempt for a second term.
5. Is It In The Name—celebrating the birth on this day in 1984 of Kathyrn Hudson better know to her fans as Katy Perry and whose first album was released under her birth name and was a commercial flop resulting in her new name and the rest is history; great voice and activist for the LBGT community and a staunch supporter of Obama, HRC and Kamala Harris, an ideologue Barbara Boxer on steroids.
On this day in:
a. 1954 the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War was fought with the Light Brigade being decimated in a charge against Russian canon on a plateau and immortalized by Tennyson’s poem Charge of the Light Brigade.
b. 1920 after a 74 day hunger strike in Brixton Prison by Sinn Fein Lord Mayor of Cork Terence MacSwiney protesting British occupation of Ireland, he died.
c. 1962 in a real “Gotcha” moment UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson produced photos showing the Soviets had been lying through their teeth that there were no Soviet missiles in Cuba.
d. 1971 the UN ousted Taiwan and sat the Peoples Republic of China in its place.
e. 1983 the United States and its Caribbean allies launched Operation Fury, a successful invasion of Grenada prompted by a coup that executed the island’s prime minister and were in the process with the help of the Cuba army of completing a military grade airfield for jet bomber and fighters.
Reflections on the desire for fame and recognition from the birthday girl: ““Ultimately I want Katy Perry to be as much of a household name as Madonna.” Katy Perry I hope if that is achieved is it achieved without the perverse sexual exhibitionism of Madonna and not quite as over the top political displays against Reds.  Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 24, 2017 Five time deported scumbag Jose Zarate charged with the murder of Kate Steinle went on trial in sanctuary city San Francisco; this scumbag will be found guilty and the only question will be what degree of murder will stick and whether he, like Willie Horton years ago, will be the poster child of an effort to sweep open border sanctuary cities leftists like an aging Feinstein out of office in November; leftist Matt Damon now admits that he knew of Weinstein’s sexually predatory behavior after denying that knowledge earlier; Harvey Weinstein’s behavior is evidently alive and well in the country music arena as Katie Arminger has come out to allege being a target of groping and sexual harassment by DJs; Trump plans to declassify material on the JFK assassination  52 years ago; in a sign that even to Reds Hillary has become toxic, West Virginia Senator Joe Mancini has informed Hillary that she should stay away from his campaign; finally in a what’s good for the goose is good for the gander Mueller’s ever expanding witch hunt has added Tony Podesta, brother of Clinton’s chief campaign adviser, John Podesta (the real Russian collusion that the MSM will not reveal is the quid pro quo criminal activity arising out of the Uranium One deal and the almost 145 million dollars to the Foundation and the $500,000 speaking fee to Bill and the complicity of Loretta Lynch in blocking a FBI informant with evidence of quid pro quo and Russian targeting of the Clinton campaign with threats of criminal prosecution); almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 22 increasing to 3087 and the death toll increased to 535 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Phil Collins, factoids of interest for this day in history, hoping you are not labile, and  a relevant quote from Wilma Rudolph on adversity, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. He retired from the FBI in 1935 to practice law and died in 1960 from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.

Another example of why one should not drink and drive.
Reflections on the ability of human beings to overcome adversity by a true champion:“I had a series of childhood illnesses; scarlet fever, pneumonia, polio. I walked with braces until I was at least nine years old. My life wasn’t like the average person who grew up and decided to enter the world of sports.” Wilma Rudolph known as the Black Gazelle who became the first woman to win three gold medals in an Olympic Games at Rome A smoker she lost the race against throat cancer and brain cancer and died too early in 1994 at the age of 64.  Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. October 22, 2017 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Mother-In-Law Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 22, 2017 Finally the House Oversight Committee has commenced investigation of the corruption and bribery allegations hounding Hillary, Bill and the Foundation over the Uranium One deal that on the face of it sure looks like quid pro quo of exchanging $145 million to the Foundation and $500,000 to Bill for a speech for 20 percent of our uranium assets (I think she and Bill are guilty as guilty can be and hope they are convicted to destroy their place in history and then pardoned by President Trump in exchange for revealing the extent if any of Obama’s involvement in the deal); Maxine Waters has regained her standing lost to Frederica Wilson as the most rabid disgraceful Trump hater with her pledge to take Trump out (Secret Service should be knocking on her door over threats like that which imply assassination but thanks to her inane rants voters realize what a disaster a Blue controlled House would be); Hillary on her money grubbing book tour took a time out to appear on TV to slam Trump’s inauguration speech as dark and divisive and how she and Bill tried to avoid attending; Jemele Hill the ESPN host who was suspended for two weeks for her anti-Trump tweets apologized and tweeted that the suspension was appropriate; 93 year old former President Carter in an interview with the NYT asserted that the media is far too harsh (should have used biased) against Trump and that he sees no evidence whatsoever of any Russian collusion; you know someone is going over the top in attacking Trump when the ultra leftist Huff Post condemned Rachel Maddow for her outlandish reporting that the killing of four Americans in Niger was the result of including Chad in the Trump travel ban; on the sports front USC was totally demolished by Notre Dame; almost a stuck record or a gruesome  remake of Groundhog Day, Chicago style,  the carnage in Chicago continued unabated with total shootings in 2017 through October 21 increasing to 3072 and the death toll increased to 533 and still nothing is being done to hinder or prevent the killings of minorities by minorities.
