Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For January 9, 2019 The President addressed
the nation from the Oval Office, making a persuasive case for border security
including a wall and the threat to our national security that the absence of a
wall entails (the response of Schumer and Pelosi was delusional ignoring the
flood of illegals and ignoring the fact that a wall works and is being begged
for by the Border Patrol); Pelosi and Schumer met with Trump this morning for a
fruitless meeting that quickly ended when Pelosi responded that she would not
consider building a wall (Schumer and Pelosi want to reopen the government with
a promise to discuss border security, a trap that Reagan fell into when the
Blues snookered him to grant amnesty under the promise of border security, a
promise which they failed to keep); MSM predictably was all over itself blasting
Trump for his speech as a sign of a defeated president (Ryan should be hiding
his head in shame for not getting the House when he was speaker to appropriate
the funds for a wall while the Senate voted for no wall with the two chambers
having to reconcile which would take only a majority vote in the Senate; that’s
how we ended up with the ACA being shoved down our throats); the pathetic
excuse for an Assistant Attorney General who has allowed Mueller to run amok is
expected to resign as soon as William Barr
is confirmed; Bill Steyer the delusional billionaire, who once thought voters for his progressive views would be willing buyers, has announced he would not run in 2020 but instead will concentrate on impeaching Trump; Blue Rep. Tulsi Gabbard slammed Blue Senator Hirano for religious bigotry for her opposition to judicial nominee Brian Buescher’s Catholic faith and membership in the Knights of Columbus (good for her and shame to Kamala Harris who has joined Hirano); Mexico a large producer of oil has a fuel shortage because the government has closed several pipelines due to illegal fuel theft from them and opted to deliver fuel by trucks with the problem that there are not enough trucks to supply service stations; my daily source for murders and shootings has stopped publishing so this feature will no longer appear in Ridley's Believe It Or Not-This Day In History.

using more and more profanity these days.
5. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down--celebrating the
birth on this day in 1941 of noted singer and social activist Joan Baez who is
still performing on tour. Here is a link to one of her more popular songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnS9M03F-fA

control, law enforcement and other resources.” Jon Kyl, former Republican
