December 31, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not 6th Day of Kwanzaa

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 31, 2019 In a hope this is not a Tehran Embassy or Benghazi disaster, Iraqis incensed over the bombing of several sites in Iraq operated by Iranian backed Iraqi militia have breached the gate of the American Embassy in Baghdad and are occupying the grounds promising not to leave until the U.S. withdraws its forces from Iraq, including those who are fighting ISIS remnants (Trump has blamed Iran and demanded Iraq fulfill its obligations under international law to protect our embassy as an additional 100 Marines have been sent in—dangerous situation because Trump is no Carter and no Obama/Hillary); the Strozk and Page lovebirds are in the news again with Strozk suing the federal government for releasing his “personal property” text messages to Page conspiring to prevent Trump’s election and seeking to remove his afterwards while Page was being softballed by Maddow defending the FBI’s counter intelligence operation and her role in it against Trump while breathing a sigh of relief as Maddow asked not one question on the 17 abuses in the FISA process; in a moment of candor, Don Sedgewick, the Mayor of Laguna Hills in an interview that he does not blame people from moving or wanting to move from high tax, high cost of living areas like California and New York; in a bite the hand that feeds you moment literally, it was revealed that the Fort Worth Church shooter had grown angry that although he received food when he visited the congregation he did not receive money; videos are the ruin of many a politician Joe Biden is on tape lambasting and ridiculing Texas’ law that went into effect in September allowing concealed guns into churches while the parishioners at the Fort Worth Church endured 6 seconds of terror and two deaths as opposed to dozens that would have been incurred before police responded (nice viewpoint Joe from someone who must have armed guards watching his every move; in Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief, as of December 30, 2019, 2750 have been shot, of whom, 459 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in first place in 2019 not yet finished in the amount of gun deaths as 348 have been murdered, a number which has the dubious distinction of passing all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities and 2017’s and 2015’s record of previous record of 342 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to A Big World and Christina Aquilera,  the fact you do not purloin, a relevant quote on Marshall Plan by Robert Dallek,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. December 30, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not 5th Day of Kwanzaaor

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 30, 2019 The Fort Worth Church shooter was not very smart as in Texas lots of law abiders carry concealed guns and before killing and wounding more he was shot down in six seconds by an armed parishioner; like a puppet De Blasio blamed the most pro Jewish president ever for the anti-Semite attack by a machete wielding black on Donald Trump (when will the residents of the Big Apple realize they have a rotten one in their midst and dump him?); in an annual poll, Trump has tied Obama as the most admired man in America but including Adam Schiff in the list of most admired albeit with only some 2 percent, raises some questions as to the poll’s veracity; in an attempt to allay fears that lurk beneath the service as to his ability to serve, Sanders’ doctor has released his medical report following his heart attack, giving him a clean bill of health; in a potential death blow to ratings, Trump will be holding a campaign rally in Wisconsin the same night the Democrats are holding a presidential debate among some of the candidates; given his ratings that continue to fall, it is a mystery why Brian Stelter consumed by his anti-Trump rhetoric still has a job with the Cack News Network; Hunter Biden whom many believe will become the equivalent of the private server of HRC is back in the news with a private investigator firm investigating his finances in his ongoing child support case has claimed it has obtained access to his financial records which show participation in a multimillion dollar counterfeit scheme (after having to walk back his refusal to obey Senate impeachment trial, Biden needs this new scandal like the proverbial hole in the head); in another example of polarization and PC culture a photo showing 18 out of 30 of a West Virginia Correctional Officers Training Class giving what appears to be the Nazi salute with the caption Hail Byrd (their instructor) which prompted the governor to indicate they should be fired along with some instructors who did not report the incident; time to pity Uncle Joe facing hecklers of “Quid Pro Quo Joe in New Hampshire campaign stop (pity the poor Blues tied to a loser who if against Trump will flop); in Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief, as of December 29, 2019, 2747 have been shot, of whom, 458 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in first place in 2019 not yet finished in the amount of gun deaths as 343 have been murdered, a number which has the dubious distinction of passing all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities and 2017’s and 2015’s record of previous record of 342 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Bruno Mars Carey,  the fact you are usually punctilious, a relevant quote on executing Saddam Hussein by Richard Dawkins,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. Fifth Day of Kwanzaa--created by Maulana Karenga, a professor of black studies at Cal State University, in 1996 to celebrate 7 principles of African Culture ending on January 1 of each year of which today’s is “purpose.”
2. Bacon Day—celebrating that food that probably gives cardiologists great headaches and was created by Danya Goodman and Jeff Leonard in response to Homer Simpson’s question on the “I Love Lisa” episode “Is It Bacon Day?”
3. 2012 Number 1 Number One Song— the number one song in 2012 on this day on a run of 4 weeks in the position was “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars. Here is a recording of the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-fA-gBCkj0
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “punctilious” which means scrupulous and exact, traits which are found lacking in most politicians expecially when seeking your vote.
5. Out of the Woods Into the Masters--celebrating the birth on this day in 1975 of one of the truly great golfer Tiger Woods who after a 14 year hiatus from the Green Jacket wore one again this year.

     a. 1916 Russian mystic and advisor to the Tsarina Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin was murdered by a loyalist group led by Prince Felix Yusupov. His frozen, partially-trussed body was discovered in a Moscow river three days later. As Russia continued to lurch to revolution as its troops were being slaughtered in the trenches in World War I.
      b. 1936 the United Auto Workers staged its first sit down strike at General Motors’ Plant in Flint, Michigan which lasted for 40 days and resulted in recognition of the UAW Union.
      c. 1965 Ferdinand Marcos became President of the Philippines and remained so until 1986, having ruled as dictator under martial law from 1975 to 1981.
  d. 2005 Tropical Storm Zeta disproved the adage “last but not Least” tied the record for the latest tropical storm formed in the North Atlantic Basin and after limping into 2007 faded quickly away never making landfall or causing any damages.
  e. 2006 former President of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, was executed for mass murders by hanging.
Reflections on Saddam Hussein’s execution: “The obvious objections to the execution of Saddam Hussein are valid and well aired. His death will provoke violent strife between Sunni and Shia Muslims, and between Iraqis in general and the American occupation forces.” Richard Dawkins, noted English eholigist and author and whose predictions of chaos following Hussein’s execution seemed to be right on point.

December 27, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Second Day of Kwanzaa

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 27, 2019 When it comes to hypocrisy among politicians both sides are guilty as sin as the record shows Democrats in the Senate were doing the same thing with Clinton that McConnell is supposedly doing with Trump in terms of the impeachment trial yet from the MSM complaining only the sounds of silence; money is the mother’s milk of politics and AOC has be caught in the blatant hypocrisy spotlight after she castigated politicians who took contributions from billionaires and then it was revealed she welcomed a $2700 donation from billionaire Tom Steyer who currently like Bloomberg is trying to buy the Democratic nomination (thank God AOC does not turn 35 until October 15, 2014 but sadly her birthday means she could run for president while still 34 since she would be 35 on Election and Inauguration Day); normally this poet rarely agrees with Michael Moore but on his statement that Trump’s support has not dropped one inch in the Midwest and he is on his way to another electoral win in 2020, I agree wholeheartedly especially since Nancy Pelosi is playing the dangerous game of sitting on the Articles of Impeachment; in another we need this like a hole in the head, President Duerte of the Philippines has banned the entry of Senators Durbin and Leahy for their criticism of his jailing of a dissent Philippines Senator who has criticized his killing of suspected drug dealers and is considering requiring visas for all American visitors; new data released show that asylum acceptances under Trump are at an all time low, perhaps reflecting the end of catch, release and do not appear policies of the Obama Administrations; in what hopefully is not the tip of the ice berg 9 people in Iowa have been referred for prosecution for double voting in the 2018 election (we really to get a handle on the issue given the stakes now in the elections politically and economically on the issue of the extent of voter fraud, especially voting by illegal aliens or legal aliens); in Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief, as of December 26, 2019, 2712 have been shot, of whom, 452 have died but none on Christmas or the 26th; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in 2019 not yet finished in the amount of gun deaths as 342 have been murdered, a number which has the dubious distinction of passing all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities and now ties 2017’s and 2015’s record of 342 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Mariah Carey,  the fact you rarely pule, a relevant quote on serving in Afghanistan by a Russian soldier, Vladislav Tamorov,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient.       b. 1929 Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin ordered the liquidation of the kulaks in Ukraine as a class.
    c. 1979 the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to begin its agony similar to what we experienced in South Vietnam.
 d. 1985 7 Palestinian terrorists killed 19 civilians and wounded over a hundred in attacks at airports in Rome, Italy and Vienna, Austria before 4 of the terrorists were killed by El Al security forces and the other 3 captured and sentenced to long prison terms.
 e. 1996 Taliban forces take Bagram Airbase, solidifying their positions around Kabul, Afghanistan.
Reflections on Soviet’s war in Afghanistan: ““He was holding his right leg, but the blood soaked through his fingers and flowed over his hand onto his sleeve. Intuition had served me again this time: my kick had knocked his automatic out of his grasp a fraction of a second before he could press the trigger. The second kick was to his face. It sent him flying about six feet. I set my sights on his head, but something stopped me, one of our guys let out a yelp behind me. Another bullet whistled by right next to me. Apparently, this Mujahadeen was not the only one here. Again, I aimed at his head, but something again stopped me. I saw how his hands were trembling. I noticed the horror in his eyes. 'He is only a boy!' I thought and pressed the trigger.”― Vladislav Tamarov, Afghanistan: A Russian Soldier’s Story

December 26, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Kwanzaaa

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 26, 2019 Hope you still have credit availability this Boxing Day to take advantage of the Day After Christmas Sales to warm the cockles of retailers hearts; it may be symbolic and unrelated to Seattle’s leftist drift but last Friday the city recorded the darkest day in its recorded history; Pocahontas got caught with her tomahawk down in the hypocrisy race after news reports revealed that she too had in the past hosted a fund raiser at an expensive restaurant that included a private wine cave; the Christmas Truce was short lived to say the least as Trump came out swinging against Pelosi for pushing the narrative that Trump was a security risk requiring immediate impeachment then sitting on the Articles to dictate to McConnell how she wants the impeachment trial to take place in the Senate (total shame on this hypocrite who caved to the likes of Green, Waters and AOC and put two kangaroo masters in charge of the Impeachment circus); love may be blind but not in the case where money is involved as 26 year old Israeli national Lin Halfon was arrested for trying to steal $1,000,000 from her 77 year old husband of 4 months, Richard Rappaport; the once darling of the MSM and potential presidential candidate Michael Avenatti is facing felony embezzlement and extortion charges and disbarment proceedings as prosecutors revealed he was $15 million in debt when he tried to extort Nike (prisons need jailhouse lawyers but those with reputations of stealing from their clients might not receive the best of treatment from their new convict clients); California’s war on jobs continues relentlessly with a new law making it next to impossible for many workers to be independent contractors thereby forcing those cash strapped businesses who use them to become employers and pay increased social security taxes or hire independent consultants out of state (dumb move by Blue state legislators and Newsom but sadly so typical); if the socialist Blues had any brains, they would look at Venezuela where the currency has become worthless and people are being forced to barter goods for essentials; on the wage front 24 states and numerous cities and counties will raise their minimum wage by the end of the year; in Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief, as of December 25, 2019, 2707 have been shot, of whom, 452 have died but none on Christmas Day; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 339 have been murdered, a number which has passed all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities and is very close to passing 2017’s and 2015’s record of 342  2019 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Katy Perry,  the fact you appreciate the pulchritude in life, a relevant quote on Kwanzaa by President William J. December 20, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Human Solidarity Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 20, 2019 Being closing linked to Hollywood, the Blues have learned how to act, intoning solemnly that impeachment was a sad day for America when they could hardly their joy contain (check out Tlaib’s video heading to impeachment vote almost clicking her heels and cheering for the moment it will be time for her to vote and Pelosi’s hand across the throat motion to end Blue cheers); after a rush to judgment kangaroo court to create Articles of Impeachment, the Hypocrite in Chief Pelosi wants to delay Articles being sent to the Senate until it bows to her dictates of who will appear (time for her to pound sand and reap the winds of impeachment chaos against Blues, especially Blues in districts won by Trump who were either dumb enough or spineless enough to vote for impeachment; under the DNC debate rules, Blues reduced to the Non Magnificent Seven at their last night’s debate despite Spartacus’ pleas that he not be crucified on the cross of nonappearance (for rating purposes the DNC if it had a brain would have had Marianne Williamson on for levity appeal); while we are in the limbo land that Trump has not been impeached until Articles of Impeachment are delivered to the Senate, Pelosi managed to clear her anti-Trump hatred long enough to invite the president to deliver his State of the Union Address to the Congress; wave goodbye to any hopes of unity and civility after impeachment vote as disgraced and resigned former Senator Al Franken stoked the flames by comparing Senator McConnell to serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer (shame on you Franken); thanks to Trump, 100 MS-13 members have learned there is no sanctuary in Di Blasio’s NYC and have been arrested in the largest sweep in New York history; if you are going to a Lady Gaga concert in the future you might want to make sure your seats are up wind as she cannot remember the last time she has bathed; Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief, as of December 19, 2019, 2645 have been shot, of whom, 445 have died but none in the last two days; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 333 have been murdered, a number which has passed all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities but 2017’s record of 342 looks like it may not be broken in the waning days of 2019 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys,  the fact you do have the capacity to be puissant in your business relationships, a relevant quote on the invasion of Panama by President George H.W. Bush,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “puissant” which means mighty which Reds hope defines the level of outrage of Reds and Independents over the impeachment travesty.
5. Follow Me After the Holiday--celebrating the birth on this day in 1981 of Christmas Abbot, noted physical trainer and fitness author who we should follow after our caloric splurging over the holidays.

  e. 2007 Queen Elizabeth II became the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom to the dismay of Prince Charles who wonders if he will ever get the chance to be king as his mother shows no signs of slowing down or abdicating.
You can run but you cannot hide from the U.S. even if you run a country as a dictator: “General Noriega's reckless threats and attacks upon Americans in Panama created an eminent danger to the 35,000 American citizens in Panama. As President, I have no higher obligation than to safeguard the lives of American citizens. And that is why I directed our armed force to protect the lives of American citizens in Panama, and to bring General Noriega to justice in the United States. I contacted the bipartisan leadership of Congress last night and informed them of this decision, and after taking this action, I also talked with leaders in Latin America, the Caribbean, and those of other U.S. allies.” President George H.W.Bush announcing the invasion of Panama.

December 19, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Holly Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 19, 2019 The House on purely partisan lines impeached Trump on two bogus counts abuse of power and obstruction of Congress with not a single Red vote yes and sane minding Blues voting no and to some surprise Gabbard voting present and now the farce goes to the Senate although Pelosi is posturing that the Articles of Impeachment will not be sent to the Senate until she is satisfied with the procedures re witnesses (talk about hypocrisy from the head Blue after an impeachment process that reeked of due process abuse); Lawrence Tribe, rabid anti-Trump leftist Harvard Law Professor, and Alan Dershowitz, an Emeritus Harvard Law Professor are in a constitutional snit fit over the legality of the House not bringing the Articles to the Senate (after a rush to impeach Pelosi is looking more and more like a jilted bimbo trying to keep the Articles in limbo so they can raise money and energize the base to get out and vote while the country’s political business grinds to a complete halt); it’s like Deliverance with law books instead of banjos but Dershowitz and Tribe are at each other’s legal throats over the ability of Pelosi to ignore Senate rules and sit on Articles of Impeachment (my vote is with Dershowitz who still has a lot of objective genes in his body); while Blues still support open borders and sanctuary cities to the detriment of the safety of all residents, citizens and illegals, Trump administration has moved forward  with agreements to send asylum seekers back to Guatemala while their cases are being considered; after being delayed by Pelosi for almost a year the USMCA has passed with as expected the super hypocrite Pelosi taking credit; Obama’s former doctor has sounded the warning on Biden that he “is not a healthy guy”; Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief as of December 18, 2019, 2642 have been shot, of whom, 445 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 332 have been murdered, a number which has passed all of 2014’s deaths and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities but 2017’s record of 342 looks like it may not be broken in the waning days of 2019 (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Beyonce,  the fact you do are not puisine in your dealings with many of your business associates, a relevant quote on the transfer of power over Hong Kong to China by Queen Elizabeth II,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. Holly Day—created by Jace-Shoemaker Galloway to popularize an evergreen long associated with Christmas as its prickly leaves represent the crown of thrones Christ wore on his death.
2. National Regifting Day—celebrated on the last Thursday before Christmas since 2006 and must be a holiday detested by retailers both on line and brick and mortar.
3. 2008 Number 1 Number One Song— the number one song in 2008 on this day on a run of 3 weeks in the position was “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” by Beyonce. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m1EFMoRFvY. This classic trained pianist singer and songwriter has been hitting all the right keys in her career.
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “puisine” which means inferior in rank, which if applied to the Blue wanna-bes who will have to face Trump, impeachment notwithstanding, fits them to a tee.
5. Gift of Objectivity--celebrating or bemoaning the on this day in 1972 of noted actress Alyssa Milano who despite her talent has become a rabid anti-Trumper that she turns off half of the country.
On this day in:
      a. 1912 William Van Schaick, captain of the PS General Slocum which given the absence of workable safety equipment was a death trap, caught fire and killed almost 900 people, was pardoned by U.S. President Taft after serving three-and-a-half-years in Sing Sing Prison.
       b. 1972 in an end of an era moment, the last spaceship that sent Americans to the surface of the Moon, Apollo 17, returned to Earth.
      c. 1974 Nelson Rockefeller pursuant to the 25th Amendment was sworn in as Vice President replacing Gerald Ford who had replaced Spiro Agnew as a result of his resignation and then replaced Richard Nixon following his resignation.
  d. 1984 in a bad day for Hong Kong residents, Great Britain and China agreed to the transfer of power from Great Britain to China on July 1, 1997.
  e. 1998 Bill Clinton was impeached for perjury among other crimes to be like Trump should be found not guilty by the Senate.
Reflections on the transfer of Hong Kong from Great Britain to China: “Hong Kong now faces its transition to Chinese sovereignty in excellent condition - prosperous, stable and dynamic. Unprecedented though this moment in history may be, we have the utmost confidence in the abilities and resilience of the Hong Kong people. Britain learnt long ago that Hong Kong people know best what is good for Hong Kong. We have no doubt that Hong Kong people can run Hong Kong, as the Joint Declaration promises, and that faithful implementation of the Joint Declaration is the key to Hong Kong's continued success. The eyes of the world are on Hong Kong today. I wish you all a successful transition and a prosperous and peaceful future.” Queen Elizabeth II Watching the pro democracy  protests in Hong Kong certainly question the intent of China to live up to its obligations and promises.

December 13, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National Day of the Horse

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 13, 2019 Napping Nadler’s Kangaroo Court on straight party lines with no high crimes and misdemeanors alleged approved articles of impeachment to be sent to the full House for voting and if 31 Blues do not chose to not vote on party lines, Trump will be impeached and head to the Senate for trial where the measure will be defeated and may pick up some Blue votes against impeachment; great article of Lying Schiff on video attacking Jim Rogan over Rogan’s vote to impeach Clinton showing his crass hypocrisy https://www.foxnews.com/politics/schiff-past-comments-criticizing-clinton-impeachment-emerge; we speak almost the same language as our English cousins but England is ahead of us in rejecting socialism and globalism as Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party blew the Labor Party out of the water yesterday; in an attempt to kill the Golden Goose, Gruesome Newsom’s administration is going to court to block the federal government from opening up vast quantities of federal lands for oil and gas leases even though the state leads in gasoline consumption and the oil and gas industry pumps $55 billion in tax revenues to the state; on the celebrity drug rehab front, Amanda Byrnes has fled a drug rehab facility and her parents are concerned she will be relapsing; on the homeless front Amanda Neely who is homeless has been sentenced to 20 days jail after breaking the plate glass windows of 5 businesses in Portland, Oregon because no one would give her $5 (major problem that continues to be ignored in the Blue run cities of this nation); police in New York City have arrested a 13 year old for the fatal stabbing of Tesse Majors, a Barnard College freshman during a failed armed robbery attempt and are looking to arrest 2 juveniles); next week’s Blue debate which if it occurs will continue the falling ratings as more and more Americans are tired of listening to a rehashing of no ideas may not occur at all as the proposed venue Loyola Marymount University’s food service workers are on strike and picketing;  Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief as of December 11, 2019, 2608 have been shot, of whom, 442 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 325 have been murdered, a number which has passed all of 2014’s death and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities but 2017’s record of 342 looks like it won’t be broken (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a musical link to Alicia Keys,  the fact you do not perform acts that cause pudor, a relevant quote on the Rape and Massacre of Nanking by Iris Chang,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. 2. National Salespersons Day—commemorating a part of our retail landscape that due to cost pressures seems to be dwindling each shopping season.
3. 2007 Number 1 Number One Song— the number one song in 2007 on this day on a run of 5 weeks in the position was “No One” by Alicia Keys. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rywUS-ohqeE. This classic trained pianist singer and songwriter has been hitting all the right keys in her career.
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “pudor” which means a sense of shame which the Blues on Napping Nadler’s House Judiciary voting on party lines for impeachment of non high crimes and misdemeanors must reek of.
5. Raising Cain--celebrating the birthday on this day in 1945 of Herman Cain who worked up the ranks of the Pillsbury Corporation to become CEO of its subsidiary Godfather’s Pizza and with his 9-9-9 tax plan was in 2012 was an up and coming Republican candidate for president until charges of sexual harassment, vehemently denied by him, caused him to suspend his campaign.
On this day in:
     a. 1937 the Japanese defeated the Chinese in the Battle of Nanking which was followed was followed by an orgy of rape of thousands and the  massacre of hundreds of thousands of Chinese civilians and prisoners of war which delayed pursuit by the Japanese and allowed the remnants of the Chinese forces to escape and fight on.

Reflections on the Rape and Massacre of Nanking: “Looking back upon millennia of history, it appears clear that no race or culture has monopoly on wartime cruelty. The veneer of civilization seems to be exceedingly thin – one that can be easily stripped away, especially by the stresses of war.”Iris Chang, The Rape of Nanking

December 12, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National Poinsettia DayNational

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For December 12, 2019 Napping Nadler’s Kangeroo Court continued with “hearings” today with no witnesses only statements of members since the Nadler quashed all attempts of the minority to call witnesses further casting doubt on the illegitimacy of these proceedings which trace their origin to fraud on behalf of the use of a false and salacious Steele dossier that Comey’s anti-Trump FBI bought hook, line and sinker (Nadler so acted since minority hearings would delay impeachment that is a done deal for the biased anti-Trumpers on his Kangaroo Court); although Horowitz found no evidence of bias that seems to be clearly in his face, Sessions was deeply troubled over an FBI altering a critical email used in presenting to the FISA court the DOJ’s request for a warrant on Carter Page (lost is all the CNN and MSNBC spin is this troubling fact—the FBI was spying on the Trump campaign and presidency based on a false and unverified dossier bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign, a very troubling threat to our democracy; Rep. Spanberger may think she is like the Magnificent Seven but at a town hall she faced the reality that many Americans are outraged over the fraud that’s called impeachment hearings; the reptilian brain seems to have struck again this time at DNN where executive producer for CNN Politics, Stephen Bursk is stepping down due to allegations of sexual harassment; the City of Oakland awash in homeless like its neighbor the City of Feces across the Bay is thinking of housing 1000 homeless on a cruise ship (wonder if irate residents will untie the mooring lines so it would just float away?); Felicity Huffman who had her wrist slapped with a minor jail sentence has revealed her daughter Georgia is heading to $73,000 a year Vassar next year; in Chicago with a new interim police chief now having to replace a fired police chief as of December 11, 2019, 2598 have been shot, of whom, 441 have died; Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 322 have been murdered, a number which has passed all of 2014’s death and all of 2016’s yearly total of 318 fatalities but 2017’s record of 342 looks like it won’t be broken (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?).

Flanagan,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient.
