June 30, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Bartenders and Mixologists Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 30, 2018 Thousands are marching in the streets across the country protesting Trump’s zero tolerance of illegal immigration and demanding an end to ICE (what the left does not realize is that over 80 percent of Americans want illegals to be deported and as Trump has indicated they will be crushed for advocating open borders); Trump has indicated he will announce his pick to succeed Justice Kennedy on July 9 as the left continues its meltdown over the prospect of a conservative being added to the bench; Darin Hodge, the manager of the Teahouse Restaurant in Vancouver, Canada was fired for refusing to serve a customer wearing a MAGA hat; Conor Berry, a reporter for the Republic in Springfield, Massachusetts resigned after falsely reporting that the shooter at the Capital Gazette wore a MAGA hat; on the disease prevention front Truveda manufactured by Gilead Science to reduce by 90 percent the chance of being infected by the HIV virus has risen in cost by 45 percent to $2,000 for a thirty day supply; Cack News Network Jim Acosta was making a fool of himself as usual by shouting out questions to President Trump of whether he was going to stop calling the press an enemy of the people, an act that a former executive produce for the network slammed him for; in Chicago through June 29, 2018, 1380 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 216 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Usher, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact you are not meedless; a relevant quote from Amy Bloom on the effect of being a bartender, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “meedless” which means undeserving or unrewarded which describes most bureaucratic Swamp denizens.
5.  The Human Cannibal—celebrating the birthday on this day in 1966 of the youngest heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson who claimed the title at age 20 but is perhaps best remembered for biting off the ear of Evander Holyfield in a rematch in 1997 for which he was disqualified.

Reflections on being a bartender: “I spent a lot of time listening to people. But it's also true that I liked details and listening to people when I was a bartender and when I was a waitress and probably when I was a babysitter as well. I suspect that's part of what drew me to psychotherapy rather than the other way around.”
Amy Bloom noted American author and psychotherapist.

June 29, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Sceloderma Awareness Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 29, 2018 California pot dispensaries face a July 1 deadline to have products tested for pesticides and potency or they cannot be sold and are offering deep discounts; the shooter who killed 5 people at the Capital Gazette  barricaded the back door to trap people inside evidently had a long running feud with the paper; a Reuters editor who blamed the shooting on Trump has since apologized and my face discipline (I am surprised that the MSM has not jumped on the blame Trump bandwagon); while the left is going into meltdown mode over Trump’s plan to nominate Kennedy’s successor on July 9, Mitch McConnell announced plans to have the Senate vote on confirmation in the fall; the left’s latest battle cry to support their open border agenda is to abolish ICE; Peter Strzock was described during his closed door testimony as being smug, defiant and uncooperative; fireworks on The View when guest commentator Tara Setmayer called Republicans cult like sycophants which set Meghan McCain off; in Chicago through June 28, 2018, 1373 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 216 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Clay Aiken, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact you are not a medacaster; a relevant quote from John Grisham on the death penalty, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 28, 2018 Five people have been killed and several wounded at the newsroom of the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland with the suspect in custody; Blue representative from Washington Jayapal was among the hundreds arrested while protesting at the Capitol for the elimination of ICE and against Trump’s zero tolerance policies on illegal immigration; disturbing news that North Korea is continuing construction of a nuclear research facility and a glimpse of how bad it is in the Hermit Kingdom as Kim orders the execution on an officer who gave his soldiers extra rations of food; the co-chair of Women for Trump reported receiving death threats as a result of her appearance on CNN; Rosenstein and Wray were grilled today by House Intel Committee members in an acrimonious hearing over FBI and DOJ refusals to turn over subpoenaed documents bringing us nearer to holding the two in contempt of Congress and impeachment (Trump needs to order the FBI and DOJ to turn over all documents requested and do it now); on the weapons front the Air Force is retiring its Predator drone force and replacing it with Reaper drones which can carry more payload; in Chicago through June 27, 2018, 1360 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 214 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Nelly, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact you are mediagenic; a relevant quote from Gilda Radner on being a woman, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. June 27, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not PTSD Awareness Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 27, 2018 SCOTUS has ruled 5-4 that public sector union members cannot be forced to pay union dues which potentially will cripple them as a major source of funding for the Democratic Party; Justice Kennedy has announced his retirement from SCOTUS which really ups the ante in the midterms and  makes it critical for the Reds to retain control of the Senate (wonder when Ginsburg will retire); the obstructionist in chief Chuck Schumer has thrown down the gauntlet demanding that the Senate observe the Biden Rule and also reject any justice that is pro life; it may be a slim hope but signs of demanding a return of civility are being echoed by Fox stars against the crowd heckling Jim Acosta and Chuck Schumer, Bill Clinton and the cast members of The View condemning Maxine Waters for her call to push Trump nominees out of public places; President Trump has confirmed that he will probably holding a Summit Meeting in July with Putin (just another reason to end the Mueller witch-hunt that has dogged this presidency); on the immigration front the House rejected an immigration compromise bill with 100 Republicans joining the Blues in voting no; Bill Shine an Executive with Fox News has agreed to become Trump’s communications director; in Chicago through June 26, 2018, 1347 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 213 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).

June 26, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 26, 2018 SCOTUS has ruled 5-4 that Trump’s travel ban is constitutional and by the same margin overturned California’s law that pregnancy centers must also provide information on abortion; on the midterm political front, Reds may be losing their lightening rod against the Blues flipping the House as a growing number of Blue candidates are publically coming out against Nancy Pelosi if they are elected (wonder if Blue Senate candidates will follow suit against Chuck Schumer as a campaign ploy); Maxine Waters, the pied piper of hate and harassment shows signs of going over the edge by yelling at reporters questioning her today and refusing to answer questions on her call for harassment (Judicial Watch has filed a complaint with the Ethics Committee that has the power to remove her from the House and her opponent Omar Navarro is campaigning hard against her harassment call of Trump officials); in a better late than never moment Trump awarded the Medal of Honor to Lt. Garland Muril Connor for services during World War II; in another example of firearms saving lives, a mother shot a man who had traveled from New Zealand to meet her 14 year old daughter and had broken into their house; in Chicago through June 25, 2018, 1343 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 213 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Enrique Iglesias, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact that hypocrisy in the Swamp is easily meable; a relevant quote from Babe Didriksen Zaharias on competition, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. June 25, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Vitiligo Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 25, 2018 Maxine Waters has gone off the hatred and bias deep end with the clarion call to harass Trump administration workers and voters whenever they appear in public yet the top Blues are silent over this over the top rhetoric blowing the dog whistles of violence and hate;  on the gerrymandering front SCOTUS upheld the redistricting plan drawn up by the Republican Texas legislature to the dismay of liberals on the court and groups like the ACLU; Turkey has voted and the results are giving Erdogan even more power while Trump and FLOTUS are welcoming the King of Jordan to the White House; collateral damage from the increased tariffs announced by the White House against the EU was witnessed as Harley Davidson in reaction to retaliatory tariffs imposed by the EU has announced it will shift some of its production outside the U.S.; on the World Cup front host Russia lost to Uruguay; on the immigration front plans are set to move illegal detainees into two military bases located in Texas; Mexico will be voting on July 1 and leftist Lopez Obrador who is very anti-Trump is leading; on the sleeping to get ahead front, The New York Times has published a report that its reporter Ali Watkins was also sleeping with another Senate Intel Committee staffer after her affair with indicted staffer James Wolfe had ended; in Chicago through June 24, 2018, 1323 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 210 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Jennifer Lopez, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact that you do not approach issues in a mazy manner; a relevant quote from Clint Eastwood on the Korean War, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. June 23, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not United Nations Public Service Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 23, 2018 The obstructionist in chief of the FBI Rod Rosenstein has blinked over threats of subpoena and contempt of Congress and handed over documents requested; the great divide is alive and well among the left at least at the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia where Sarah Sanders and members of her family was kicked out of the restaurant by its biased small minded owner because she works for President Trump (when will it ever end and where is the outrage of the MSM and leftist leaders?); angel moms (parents whose children had been killed by illegal aliens) met with Trump to reveal their heart wrenching stories in an event ignored by MSM or in the case of MSNBC blasting Trump for politicizing the tragedies while politicizing in spades the separation of minors from their illegal alien parents breaking the law and putting their children at great risk (great swipe at Kathy Griffin as a woman without a soul); Trump is proving to be a great Red seller as he campaigns in Nevada against Wacky Jackie in support of Senator Heller; SC House Republican candidate who had ousted the Republican incumbent Sanford was seriously injured in an car crash by a wrong way driver (her Blue opponent has displayed some class by suspending campaigning); John Bolton is off to Moscow to discuss plans for a summit with Putin; Italy has told the EU to take a hike on immigration and will not allow boats carrying migrants access to Italian ports (watch for the shoe to fall on Merkel for her opening the floodgates to refugees from the Middle East); in Chicago through June 22, 2018, 1293 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 207 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Puff Daddy and Faith Evans, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact that the Blues confronting Trump are reduced to maunder,  and  a relevant quote from Clarence Thomas on the liberal elite, secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

Reflections on bias of the northern liberal elite from one of its targets: ““The worst I have been treated was by northern liberal elites. The absolute worst I have ever been treated. The worst things that have been done to me, the worst things that have been said about me, are by northern liberal elites, not by the people of Savannah, Georgia.” Clarence Thomas Sadly as the recent incident of Sarah Sanders being ejected from a restaurant in Virginia for working for Trump, such bias and bigotry on the left is alive and well.   Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. June 21, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Day of Yoga

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 21, 2018 Today is the first day of summer as Trump has cancelled the annual Congressional picnic to force Congress to work on immigration legislation; as Trump has blinked on the issue of separating children from their families illegally entering this country seeking amnesty and being arrested, Peter Fonda another poster child for the leftist over the top anti-Trump rhetoric has issued a lame apology for calling on Barron Trump to be kidnapped and placed in a cage with pedophiles (wonder if the Secret Service was knocking on this idiot’s door); the fact is that discourse and civility on the issue of immigration is dead as the left wants nothing but open borders open to all regardless of skills, background or desire to assimilate, a fact put in clear focus as the head of the Department of Home Land Security was heckled incessantly at a public restaurant in the Swamp by a group of activists including one socialist Allison Hrabar who is a paralegal working at the DOJ; the scandal at the FBI keeps getting worse as Mark Meadows, Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, has claimed that FBI agents altered their witness reports and the FBI misled the IG over the status of agents who were unnamed but cited for anti-Trump bias (MSM is totally MIA on reporting on the IG’s report and the bias of the FBI); in Israel, the wife of the Prime Minister Netanyahu has been indicted for fraud and misuse of public funds; the UN has blasted Trump for contempt of poverty in the U.S. but used data from 2016 the last year of the Obama Administration and relied on survey data which significantly understates the amount of benefits received; another poster child for divisiveness, Brian Sims in Philadelphia welcomes Mike Pence with the bird (when will this rabid nonsense from the left be toned down so people can intelligently discuss issues and try to find solutions as opposed to vilifications?); in Chicago through June 19, 2018, 1273 people mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 206 have died (when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color?).

Reflections on yoga: “Yoga is not a work-out, it is a work-in. And this is the point of spiritual practice; to make us teachable; to open up our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know and be who we already are.” — Rolf Gates, noted yoga instructor and author.   Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs.
