April 4, 2018 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Alcohol Screening Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For April 4, 2018  On the immigration front, Trump, concerned over the growing caravan of illegal travelling through Mexico en route to our southern border will like Obama and Bush before him call out the National Guard; in a missed opportunity Mountain View police interviewed on the morning of the shooting at YouTube, Nasim Najafi Aghdamlle sleeping in her car and did not detain her (her brother when notified that the police had found her called the Mountain View Police Department indicating that she might do something to YouTube); Obama was back in the news thanks to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request revealing that Obama’s State Department funneled $9 million to leftist George Soros’ group in Albania to support that country’s socialist government; Pruitt, the head of the EPA, is in the news over revelations that two of his aides received large salary increases after the White House rightfully denied them (Pruitt claimed he did not know how that occurred and when he found out he immediately cancelled the increases) and his flying first class on short flights to Texas and Oklahoma (talk about waste and fleecing of taxpayers); like a stuck record a “celebrity” most likely with bodyguards, Michael Ian Black, blames the NRA for YouTube shooting attack; in Chicago through April 3, 2018, 548 people have been shot, of whom 94 have died.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Kay Starr; factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact that you do not display the macaroni so prevalent among the denizens of the Swamp and a relevant quote by John Lewis on Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination 50 years ago on this day,  secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.

3. 1952 Number One Song— the number one song in 1952 on a run of 9 weeks in that position was “Wheel of Fortune” by Kay Starr.  Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeIce5NsWKk
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we have left words beginning with “l” and have entered the realm of words beginning with “m” is “macaroni” which is not the pasta but here means foolishness or nonsense which we see coming out of the Swamp in never ending quantities.
5. One Way to Pay for College—celebrating the birth on this day in 1991 of Jamie Lynn Spears the younger sister of Brittany Spears who has not followed her sister in the singing world but rather acting and after announcing she was pregnant at 16 sold pictures of her daughter’s birth to Ok! Magazine for a million dollars.
         On this day in:
