b. 1918 Britain granted the right to vote to women over the age of 30.
c. 1959 Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments filed the first patent for the integrated circuit.
d. 1976 the president of Lockheed Corporation admitted before a Senate committee investigating corruption that Lockheed had paid a $3 million bribe to Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka who was tried and sentenced to four years
In prison but died before his appeals were decided.
e. 1988 Michael Jordan made his signature slam dunk from the free throw line, creating the Air Jordan line of Nike Shoes.
