c. 1965 A Charlie Brown Christmas the first of a series of animated Peanuts specials aired on CBS.
d. 1968 Douglas Engelbart gave the “Mother of All Demos” by revealing the computer mouse, hypertext and a bit-mapped graphical interface and the world has not been the same since.
e. 1979 in a win-one-for-the-humans moment, the small pox virus was certified to have been eradicated.
