Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For April 1, 2019 NAACP
showed that no one is perfect by winning accolades for not awarding hoaxer in
chief Smollett an Image Award but failing miserably with an award to the
impeachment delusional queen Maxine Waters; Maxine Waters weighed in where as
usual she has no business applauding the dismissal the false police reports
charge against Smollett (what about the seriousness in today’s racially divided
environment does this biased hack not understand of false charges that men with
MAGA hats and white robe attacked a black man with a noose);h the t the reptilian
brain is getting stronger with respect to Groper Uncle Joe Biden as a second accuser,
Amy Loppos, has come forward claiming an improper hug by Biden on her at a 2009
fund raiser for Blue Representative Jim Himes (when will Hirano weigh in with a
man up women have to be believed comment?); the younger brother of Alec Baldwin
has slammed his brother for signing leftist Alyssa Milano’s petition calling
for a boycott on filming in Georgia if its billing banning abortion after detection
of a heart beat in a fetus (he also made the correct observation that it would
be appropriate for Alec to retire his Trump impersonation on SNL); Rep Nunes has
charged with probably a great deal of credibility that the only reason that the
Democrats want to have the Mueller Report released is so they can leak it to
the media; James Comey whose credibility is full of baloney wins the prize for
the best April Fools Day joke implying he is ready to run for president; close
behind Comey in terms of jokes is Tom Brady who announced he is retiring;
Bernie Sanders has actually espoused some sanity which is totally lacking from
his Blue zealots vying for the presidency by coming out against the idea of
increasing the size of the court or imposing term limits; to add to our global
problems we are now facing the concern of Russian presence in Venezuela and
what to do about it (time to revive the Munroe Doctrine?); on the air quality
or lack thereof front, growing corn, our largest crop is targeted for being a
major contributor of air pollution;; as of March 31, 2019 430 people have been
shot in Chicago of whom 74 have died (what makes the Smollett case so
frustrating is that it forced the city of Chicago to allocate scarce detective
resources when in only 9% of the shootings resulting in murder have a suspect
being charged this year).

1. April Fools Day—celebrating a day since the early 16th Century to
play hoaxes and pranks on one’s friends, families and population like Brady
announcing he was retiring or the BBC show “Panorama” running a segment on
April 1, 1957 about the Italians harvesting a bumper harvest of pasta from
pasta trees or Cottonelle announcing the introduction of left handed toilet
paper in 2015 (don’t be fooled today).
2. Fossil Fools Day—celebrated since 2004 as a dig at those relying on nonrenewable
fossil fuels as opposed to renewables and probably celebrated to the max by the
supporters of inane economy wrecking AOC.
3. 1975 Number One Song—the number one song on this day in
1975on a run of 1 week in that position was “Lady Marmalade” by Labelle.

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we move from words beginning with “o”
to words beginning with “p” is “palinode” which means a poem in which
earlier thoughts or feelings are detracted like when a person writes a poem to
his or her ex-spouse following a bitter divorce.
5. The Winds of Bias Blow—celebrating or bemoaning depending
on your political philosophy the birth on this day in 1973 of MSNBC “journalist”
and author Rachel Madow who graduated from Stanford with its motto of “Let the
Winds of Freedom Blow” and has the distinction of being the first openly gay Rhodes
Scholar. For her birthday a wish that she receives a cure for Trump Derangement
Syndrome and a dose of objectivity in
her biased reporting.

World War II, Congress created the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the United
States Navy.
b. 1970 Richard Nixon signed into law the Public Health
Cigarette Smoking Act banning advertising of cigarettes on radio and television

containing tobacco products and cigarettes effective January 1, 1971.
c. 1976 Apple, Inc. was formed by Steven Jobs, Stephen Wozniak
and Ronald Wayne in Cupertino, California.
d. 2001 former President of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic surrendered
to police for war crimes and died while in jail during his trial due to a heart
attack on March 11, 2006.
e. 2004 Google introduced G-Mail.
