         1. Cyber Monday—just when you thought you could take a breather on the assault on your credit cards today is the major online shopping day with plenty of promotions to entice your spending.                                     
         2. Cities For Life Day—celebrating the growing trend around the world to ban the death penalty first started in November 30, 1786 when the city state of Tuscany became the first nation to ban the death penalty.

         a. 1487  The German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), was promulgated by Albert IV, Duke of Bavaria stating beer should be brewed from only three ingredients – water, malt and hops
         b. 1924 the first transatlantic photo facsimile was sent by radio from London to New York City.
         c. 1939 in a David versus Goliath moment the Soviet Union invaded Finland and bombed Helsinki starting a war Stalin thought would be over in less than three weeks. That was a great miscalculation on his part as the Finns inflicted over 350,000 casualties and fought bravely and skillfully until a peace treaty was signed in March of 1940.
         d. 1974 the most complete early human skeleton named after a Beatles song (Lucy, Australopithecus) was discovered by Donald Johanson, Maurice Taieb, Yves Coppens and Tim White in the Middle Awash of Ethiopia's Afar Depression.       
         e. 2015 with Paris still on edge after the radical Islamic attacks that murdered 130 innocents the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change opened.
