Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For May 1, 2019 Yesterday Schumer and Pelosi met with Trump
on the issue of infrastructure spending and came out all warm an fuzzy
indicating they were going to work with him but today Pelosi reverted to her
biased over the top rhetoric attack mode blasting the president as “immoral,
unethical, corrupt and unpatriotic” (this woman is a pathetic ideologue whose
hatred of Trump knows no decency or bounds—the Reds must if we are ever going
to have a chance to address the problems we face take back the House and
relegate this woman to the trash heap of history); Blues were in a froth today
slamming Barr appearing before the Senate with Harris calling for his
resignation (so much pandering and sound bites for their Quixote quest for
president and a prime example of why our system lacks any scintilla of
bipartisanship due to the anti-Trump hatred); while Congress is MIA on the
issue of illegal immigration, the number of people wanting to come her now
totals a billion and the backlog of immigration cases climbs to nearly 900,000 (members
of Congress need to get their heads out of the sands and fix this problem with
a wall, more judges and agents, require all asylum requests be handled in the
country of origin and if rejected or not filed there immediate deportation, end
any welfare or benefit payments to illegals); the Fed has voted to not raise
interest rates to the joy of equity investors; Maduro is still hanging on as he
is being encouraged by the Cubans and Russians to stay while the military is
still on the fence as thousands upon thousands of Venezuelans demonstrate for
his removal; on the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill shooting front
that claimed two victims and wounded four others, Riley Howard is being
heralded as a hero, giving his life by being shot while he tackled the gunman;
Omar is back in the news inanely blaming Trump for the chaos of socialism’s
failed policies in Venezuela; the debate over abortion will not go away as
Alabama’s House has passed a bill criminalizing abortion by doctors at any
stage of a pregnancy unless necessary to save life of mother (how this will
pass muster before SCOTUS is a great question); a new poll released shows 70%
of Democrats want to impeach President Trump a course of action favored by only
39% of Americans which should mean a political nightmare for Blues if idiots
like Maxine Waters gets her wish;
through April 30, 2019 679 people
have been shot in Chicago of whom
132 have died (what makes the Smollett case so frustrating is that it forced
the city of Chicago to allocate scarce detective resources when in only 9% of
the shootings resulting in murder have a suspect being charged this year).

Maria” by Santana featuring The Product G&B. Here is a recording of the

4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we move from words beginning with “o”
to words beginning with “p” is “parathria” which means incoherence which
describes the utterings of too many of our bureaucrats and politicians.
5. Go High But Stay Low—celebrating the birthday on this day in 1925 of pilot and Mercury
7 Astronaut Scott Carpenter who was the second American to orbit the Earth and
later spent 28 days on the ocean floor as part of the Navy’s SEALAB Program.
On this day

and U.S. forces.

XVI.
