Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For June 14, 2018 The long awaited
and maybe watered down IG report on the HRC “investigation” was released and it
paints a sad picture of Comey’s insubordination and failure to follow protocol
and marked examples of clear bias by agents Strzock (who is still with the FBI)
and Page, the FBI sitting on recovered HRC emails until just before the election
yet to no one’s surprise found no evidence that the FBI “investigation” was
compromised by such bias (believe that and you’re a candidate for buying the
London Bridge); predictably the MSM touted the report as evidence of Trump’s
war against Meuller and Fox is slamming the report’s failure to take various
anti-Trump texts as evidence that the investigation had to biased and designed
to insure HRC’s election; by mere coincidence the new New York AG has filed suit
against the Trump Foundation for alledged fraudulent practices; latest polls
show that support for Mueller’s witch-hunt is evaporating even among Blues; to
no one’s surprise the DOJ continues to hold back on subpoenaed documents (when
will Congress either impeach Rosenstein or better yet when will the president
order him to comply with the subpoena?); on the illegal alien front, ICE nabbed
162 illegals in Southern California, 90 percent of whom had criminal records;
Jim Acosta and Brian Karem are in a contest to see who is the better and less
civil fool at White House briefing over the issue of separating children from
their parents apprehended for coming here illegally; on the business front AT&T
has completed the Time Warner merger; in Chicago through June 13, 2018, 1183 people
mostly of color have been shot by mostly people of color, of whom 191 have died
(when will Chicago get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true
racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of
people of color by people of color?)
As always,
I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Mariah
Carey, factoids of interest for this day in history, the fact that the economy
keeps giving a reason to exercise our masseters, and a
relevant quote from an anonymous source on donating blood, secure in the
knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like
Father’s Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries,
you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized
poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You
need only contact me for details.
1. Flag Day (U.S.) —celebrating the adoption of the U.S. Flag by the Continental Congress
on this day in 1777.
2. World Blood Donor Day—created by the World Health Organization in 2004 as one of its 8
Health Issue days to create awareness of the need for safe blood donations and
to thank donors for their support of blood drives.
3. 1992 Number One Song— the number one song in 1992 on a run of 2 weeks in that
position was “I’ll Be There” by Mariah Carey. Here is a recording of
the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIt3dx4an9c
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day is “masseter” which means a muscle used
to lower the lower jaw which is getting lots of exercise as the economy seems
firing on all cylinders.
5. Youngest and Most
Energetic 72 Year Old on the Planet—celebrating the birthday on this day in 1947 of Donald J. Trump,
President of the United States whose first 500 days despite being dogged by
scorched Earth policies of the Blues and 24/7 hostility of the press has the
economy running on all cylinders and may be on track to denuclearize North
Korea.
On this
day in:
a. 1775 the Continental Army was established by the Continental
Congress.
b. 1954 President Eisenhower signed a bill adding the words “under
God” to the Pledge of Allegiance.
c. 1966 in a what took you so long moment the Vatican announced
the end of its Index Librorum Prohibitorum (Index of Prohibited Books) which
was created in 1557.
d. 2002 Near Earth Asteroid 2002 MN missed Earth by 75,000 miles
which is fortunate in that the 73 meter in diameter asteroid had the same mass
and velocity as a 1908 asteroid that crashed into Siberia and leveled over 800
square miles of trees.
e. 2017 after Republican Congressman and Majority Whip Steve
Scalise and three others were shot by a left wing agitator who was killed by
Capitol Police while practicing for a charity baseball game between Red and
Blues.
Reflections on giving
blood: “The Blood You Donate
Gives Someone Another Chance At Life. One Day That Someone May Be A Close
Relative, A Friend, A Loved One Or Even You.” Anon but so true. Please
