July 1, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Canada Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For July 1, 2019 SCOTUS told an atheist in effect to pound sand in rejecting his law suit to force removal of “In God We Trust” from U.S. currency; delusion on illegal aliens is confined to the Blues in the U.S. as the new President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele took the blame not the U.S. for the deaths of Martinez and his daughter who drowned in the Rio Grande, saying immigration in his country should be an option not an obligation (open your deaf ears Harris and Castro); a rare person indeed, Jay Setphens, a conservative reporter for the NYT, blasted the Blues on their pro illegal alien stance and was condemned as being a “White Nationalist” (the left should not worry that the NYT is abandoning its anti-Trump pro illegal alien stance as an Op-Ed from Kate Cronin-Furman, an assistant human-rights professor at University College London called on Americans to shame Border Patrol and other federal agents to resign over their treatment of “migrants” (come visit the border Ms. Cronin-Furman to see what American citizens are forced to endure and call them what they are “illegal aliens.”); Castro with a straight face is managing to try to convince Americans that his call to decriminalize illegal entry is not a call for open borders and that civil charges could still be brought (good luck with that Castro given the legions of lawyers that would volunteer to clog the courts and bring deportation to a trickle); Megan Papinoe may be a soccer star but in terms of representing her nation, she is a total disgrace, kneeling during the National Anthem and indicating she would go to Congress after AOC’s invitation but not the f*ing White House; Ted Cruz has come out strongly urging the Mayor of Portland be prosecuted for hate crimes after ordering the police to stand down during a violent riot by Antifa and a vicious assault on conservative journalist Andy Ngo (from the MSM “free press” only the sounds of silence against an assault on one of their own); the Winds of Freedom may blow on the Stanford campus but in Baldwin’s case the winds of tolerance do not as he slammed the photo of Trump with his departing press secretary and incoming press secretary because all were white;  through June 30, 2019 1257 (26 on the 30th but aim off and no one died) people have been shot in Chicago of whom 229 have died (what makes the Smollett case so frustrating and why the appointment of a special prosecutor should be applauded,  is that it forced the city of Chicago to allocate scarce detective resources when in only 9% of the shootings resulting in murder has a suspect being charged this year and where is the outrage over mostly blacks shooting and killing mostly blacks?).
1. Canada Day—celebrating on this day in 1867 the unification of three provinces, Province of Canada, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, into one dominion, Canada.
 2. National Freedom Day—created as a great holiday idea to complement our political freedom by taking steps like cutting back on credit card usage, investing in higher yield savings account, and living within your means to achieve financial freedom free of debt or in the case of mortgages with a steadily decreasing balance.
 3. 1960 Number One Song—the number one song on this day in 1960 with 2 weeks in that position was “Everybody’s Somebody’s Fool” by Connie Francis. Here is a recording of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvZnM9qcCXc The noted singer has had several traumatic interruptions in her career but is still performing at age 80, closing in on her 81st birthday on December 12 of this year.
4. Word of the Day—today’s word of the day as we move from words beginning with “o” to words beginning with “p” is “pessimal” which means less favorable which describes the Blues’ position on immigration to a tee.
5. Adopt a Singer—celebrating the birth on this day in 1945 of noted singer, actress, songwriter and model Angela Trimple, better known to her fans as Debbie Harry, who was adopted at age 3 ½ months and went on to form the band Blondie and is still performing at the age of 84.
