        CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on a slowing down basis the new year with cases now over 173 million at 173,942,531 cases (173,628,869 yesterday), 13,279,772 of which are active, 160,662,759 closed with 156,921,583 recoveries (97.67% and 97.67% yesterday, and 3,741,176 deaths (2.33% and 2.33% yesterday) to continue the slow trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentage with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
      CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 34 million at 34,208,658 (34,200,391 yesterday) with 5,476,448 active cases of which 5,343 (5,600) yesterday and 8,599 on 3/25/2021) (now down to .10% of active cases and now another blip down to decrease the number of serious or critical cases to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 23,928, 28,732,210 closed, with 612,324 deaths (2.13% and 2.13% yesterday) and with 28,119,886 recoveries (97.87% and 97.87% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to slowly improve and after many months is now .20% lower than the world’s death rate.
        Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady but slowing climb to 1840 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5572 the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previous unmatched which may be a change in the method of reporting; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase barely slowing down and improving slightly to  3.99% of its closed cases have died (3098), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2582),   Brazil (2209) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Belgium (2150), (Italy (2095), Poland (1961) and the UK (1874) which had passed us despite leading world in testing and now has new deaths barely increasing),  and slightly better than Argentina (1774), Mexico (1757), Spain (1715), Portugal (1675), France (1682),  Romania (1612),  Chile (1554), Sweden (1426) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in deaths, Bolivia (1267) and Switzerland (1243).
       Tests: We have now conducted 484,038,064 tests (now at 1,454,456/M) compared to number 2 now France at 1,323,782/M) as we are conducting more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 2,736,075/M.
        CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has moved down to 11^th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic having been passed by Argentina at 1757/M and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
         Guatemala:  Active Cases:  14,768 Deaths/M 454
         Honduras:    Active Cases:148,608 Deaths/M 641
         El Salvador:  Active cases:    2,666  Deaths/M 347
        US Vaccinations: As of 6/5/21 300.3 million doses falling to below 1 million at 937,669 day in the last week down from 999,434 million even though decreasing still sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now back to some 6 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 39,130,665 total doses have been given (81.6% of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 80.8%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has  moved from  26^th  to 25^th out of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 44.2% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 41.6% has moved up from  20^th  to 19^th among the 50 states.  A long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this Inept and hypocritical governor.
       Non  CV News: Our MIA immigration czar final appeared on the scene to fly to the Northern Triangle with $300 million in aid only to have her plane turn around after 25 minutes due to “technical issues” and quick took off again to head to the Northern Triangle to deal with the “root causes of illegal migration; Alameda County became the first county in California to revise it death count due to COVID-19 now requiring for a death to be caused by COVID-19 merely having the infection does not count only if the virus contributed to the death; in yet another example of the divisiveness coming for the left, Dr. Aruna Khilanani, a psychiatrist speaking to the Yale Medical School ranted that she had fantasies of shooting white people who got in her way in the head (so much for the Hippocratic Oath raising questions about this “doctor’s rights to practice medicine); SCOTUS is being asked to rule on the constitutionality of require men to register for the draft but exempting women from that requirement; District Court Judge  Roger Benitez in San Diego has struck down California’s 32 year old ban on AR-15 to the howls and dismay of the left; Gruesome Newsom who must believe he is immune to voter wrath in the upcoming recall election, has indicated he will not lift the emergency order granting him emergency powers that was scheduled to expire on June 15; Reds are celebrating the win of Republican Javier Villalobos as the new mayor of McAllen, Texas, underscoring the facts that Blues and Hispanics are fed up with the border crisis; great new that the rage road shooter and his girlfriend who were living in Costa Mesa who are alleged to have killed a 6 year old being driven to school by his mother in a road rage incidents have been arrested; CNN Brian Stelter who descended to new lower leftist bias lows checked what little “journalistic” credentials he had when he sycophantically aske Psaki what the MSM is doing wrong in covering the Biden Administration;  as we slowly climb out of the pandemic, leave it to the political cartoonist to reflect on the chaos that the Woke left fostered upon us:

          a. 1889 in the afternoon a heated glue pot in a wood working shop in Seattle was tipped over to start and fire that quickly spread until after burning 25 city blocks and destroying Seattle’s business district and killing 1 person and a million rats, it ran out of buildings to burn and rats to kill and was put out in the early morning hours of June 7.                     b. 1933 the first drive-in theater was opened in Camden, New Jersey.
           c. 1944 it what would be the beginning of the nailing of the coffin of the    Third Reich, 160,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel to land from the air inland from the Normandy beaches and on 5 beaches on the Normandy coast to at the end of the Longest Day be linking up with the paratroopers and beginning to drive inland.
              d. 1971 Soyus 11, the only space probe whose crew entered the world’s first space station, Salyut 1 to spend 22 days there on returning to Earth had an decompression while preparing to reenter the Earth’s atmosphere, killing the 3 Cosmonauts aboard giving the unfortunate Russians the dubious distinction to be the only humans to die in space as opposed to during reentry or during launch.
             e. 1975 in a referendum on remaining in the European Economic Community, 67% of British voters voted in favor of remaining.

Ted Budd; Trump is demanding $10 trillion in reparations from China in compensation for the damages caused by COVID-19, 100 % tariffs, and cancellation of debt owed to China; Iran which has been too busy sending arms and funds to terrorists has become a deadbeat on its UN dues of $16 million and has lost its voting rights; the left is obsessed with finding “systematic racism” in every nook and cranny of our lives and even birds are not immune as the Audubon Society accord to WAPO has named 150 birds after slave owners and supporters who fought for the Confederacy; as more and more Americans are troubled by a weak President Biden who seems to be aping Obama and leading from behind on our foreign policy, leave in to the political cartoonist to graphically portray what leading from behind means:

            5.  Hopping Into Fame--celebrating the birth on this day in 1895 of noted actor William Boyd better known to his fans as Hopalong  Cassidy, the antithesis of the hard drinking, smoking cowboys portrayed in the literature and movies of the Old West; true to this stage name, Boyd hopped from one marriage to another 5 times and left his saddle for the last time on September 12, 1972 at the age of 79 from complications from Parkinson’s disease and congestive heart failure.  
             On this day in
             a. 1947 at a speech at Harvard University Secretary of State George     Marshall unveiled a plan to bring economic aid to war devastated Europe.
           b. 1981 the Weekly Morbitity and Mortality Report of the CDC announced     the deaths of  5 people in Los Angeles from a rare form of pneumonia that affected people with weakened immune systems and was the first notice of the presence of AIDS.
           c. 1984 kicking off Operation Blue Star, India’s Prime Minister Indira Gandhi  gave orders to Indian Army surrounding the  Harmandir Sahib (the “Golden Temple” to attack it to find and arrest a Sikh rebel and when the dust had cleared on the 10^th after heavy fighting , over a 1,000 troops and civilians had been killed and the anger created in Sikhs led to Indira Gandhi’s assassination by her Sikh bodyguards on October 31, 1984.
            d. 1989 Tank Man, an unidentified Chinese man, stood in front of a  Chinese tank advancing on Chinese protestors in Tiananmen Square holding up its advance for some 30 minutes before it was able to move around him and advance to clear the Square. The identity of the Tank Man whose stand was caught on video has never been revealed but it is a sure bet that he was arrested and executed.
           e. 2001 Tropical Storm Allison made landfall in Texas and lingered until June 20, 2001, in Texas and the Southeast as it moved slowly North until dissipating in Pennsylvania but not until it had caused 41 deaths and $9 billion in damages.
        Reflections on the premonition of assassination by Indira Gandhi following her ordering Indian Army forces to enter the Golden Temple: “I am here today, I may not be here tomorrow. But the responsibility to look after national interest is on the shoulder of every citizen of India. I have often mentioned this earlier.         Brian Stelter should be heading to the ratings bomb shelter as CNN ratings are down 70% since Biden took office (when will sponsors start pulling the plug on CNN shows or at least demanding reduced ad rates which should result in layoffs and salary reductions for the purveyors of bias?); as the recall backers against L.A. County District Attorney  Gascón are out collecting signatures, 17 cities in L.A. County have passed no confidence resolutions against this Soros funded progressive pro criminal D.A.; unfortunately emboldened by CRT, school districts across the nation are trying to implement, it sparking outrage from parents of elementary school kids and in the case in Rhode Island threatening litigation against a mother a kindergartener who is questioning the basis for the doctrine her child is being brainwashed with.

          On this day in
           a. 1937 having previously abdicated his throne “to marry the woman I love” on December 10, 1936, the former King Edward VIII now the Duke of Windsor married Wallace Simpson.
          b. 1943 U.S. Sailors and Marines started attacking Hispanic youths wearing  “Zoot Suits” and when the attacks had ended on the 8^th, some 150 Hispanics had been injured.
          c. 1979 the Oil Drilling Platform Itox-1 in the Southern part of the Gulf of   Mexico blew ultimately releasing, before it was capped on March 23, 1980, over 3 million barrels of oil in the second worst oil spill but at least as the oil was heading toward one of the few nesting sites for the Ridley Kemp Sea Turtles, thousands of the baby turtles of this endangered species were airlifted to areas of the Gulf of Mexico free from oil contamination.
          d. 2013 the trial of transgender Chelsea Manning for release of classified documents to WikiLeaks began which resulted in her conviction and sentencing to 35 years imprisonment which was commuted to 7 years by Barack Obama before leaving office on January 17, 2017 which resulted in her being released from prison on May 17, 2017.
          e. 2017 3 Islamic jihadists in London drove their van into pedestrians on   the  London Bridge then jumped out to run into a nearby market where they started stabbing people before having police punch their one-way ticket to Paradise but not before they killed 8 people and wounded 48 including 4 policemen who unfortunately were not armed.   
          Reflections on the Zoot Suit Riots, another sad moment in American history:                                    “Our boys came out of a pool hall.  They were wearing the zoot-suits that have become the symbol of a fighting flag. Police ordered them into arrest cars. One refused. He asked: “Why am I being arrested?” The police officer answered with three swift blows of the night-stick across the boy’s head and he went down. As he sprawled, he was kicked in the face. Police had difficulty loading his body into the vehicle because he was one-legged and wore a wooden limb. Maybe the officer didn’t know he was attacking a cripple. 
            At the  next corner a Mexican  mother  cried out,  “Don’t take my boy, he did nothing. He’s only fifteen years old. Don’t take him.” She was struck across the jaw with a night-stick and almost dropped the two-and-a-half-year-old baby that was clinging in her arms. . . .
             Rushing back to the east side to make sure that things were quiet here,    I came upon a band of servicemen making a systematic tour of East First Street. They had just come out of a cocktail bar where four men were nursing bruises.     Three autos loaded with Los Angeles policemen were on the scene but the soldiers were not molested. Farther down the street the men stopped a streetcar, forcing the motorman to open the door and proceeded to inspect the clothing of the male passengers. “We’re looking for zoot-suits to burn,” they shouted. Again the police did not interfere. . . . Half a block away . . .       CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on a slowing down basis the new year with cases now over 171 million at 171,827,279 cases (171,455,438 yesterday), 14,040,253 of which are active, 157,787,026 closed with 154,213,295 recoveries (97.74% and 97.73% yesterday, and 3,573,731 deaths (2.26% and 2.27% yesterday) to continue the slow trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentage with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
      CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 34 million at 34,129,852 (34,113,046 yesterday) with 5,592,382 active cases of which 5,999 (6,129) yesterday and 8,599 on 3/25/2021) (now down to .11% of active cases and now another blip down to decrease the number of serious or critical cases to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 23,272), 28,537,470 closed, with 610,306 deaths (2.14% and 2.14% yesterday) and with 27,927,164 recoveries (97.86% and 97.86% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to slowly improve and after many months is now .12% lower than the world rate.
      Standing: On a deaths per million population measurement on a steady but slowing climb to 1834 the U.S. ranks behind Hungary the new number 1 which has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase barely slowing down and improving slightly to  4.06% of its closed cases have died (3088), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2569),   Brazil (2174) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Belgium (2145), (Italy (2090), Peru (2077), Poland (1953) and the UK (1873) which had passed us despite leading world in testing and now has new deaths barely increasing),  and slightly better than Mexico (1718), Argentina (1714), Spain (1710), Portugal (1674), France (1677),  Romania (1587),  Chile (1523), Sweden (1419) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in  deaths,  Switzerland (1243), and Bolivia (1229).
       Tests: We have now conducted 480,550,820 tests (now at 1,444,069/M) compared to number 2 now France at 1,306,540/M) as we are conducting more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 2,698,273/M.
       CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has moved up to 10^th on my list of deaths from the pandemic passing Spain at 1718/M and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):

                   Honduras:     Activecases:   146,985     632Deaths/M
                   El Salvador:   Active cases:     2,647     346 Deaths/M 
        US Vaccinations: As of 6/1/21 296.4 million doses stuck at 1.23 million per day in the last week down from 1.32 million even though decreasing still sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now back to some 5 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 38,472,279 total doses have been given (81.2% of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 80.9%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has moved down from  25^th  to 26^th out of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 43.3% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 40.9% has not moved from 23^rd to 21^st  among the 50 states.  A long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
         Non  CV News: In a chilling reminder that paying ransomware like paying ransoms to release kidnap victims emboldens thieves, JBS Foods, the world’s largest meat processor confirmed that it has been the target of a ransomware cyberattack which sent cattle futures dropping (when will Biden come to realize that nothing in Russia happens without the knowledge of and acquiescence of Putin and what is he going to recommend to prevent this sort of threats to our security to continue?); Rashad Turner, who founded BLM in St. Paul, has come out in a video blasting BLM for not caring about black families and undermining attempts to improve blacks’ education in the public schools where the teachers unions are on an unholy crusade to destroy charter schools;  Asian hate crimes seem to be soaring out of control, an account that is disturbing of an attack by a homeless man who was threatening Asians in San Francisco on a female Asian cop who was patrolling solo because of budget cuts but also refreshing as bystanders flocked to her assistance to attack the man until police officers arrived to arrest; in what seems to be a moment of what took you so long, after a 14 year study, Pope Francis has changed Canon Law, effective December 8, to criminalize sexual abuse by priests and laity that hold church offices of adults; the Vatican has also announced that priests cannot bless same sex marriages; in a reminder that drinking in moderation is always a sound policy,  a Montana teenager broke into a ANB house occupied by sheriff’s deputies in town for a training session, passed out and woke up in handcuffs; Biden is making a speech on the anniversary of the end of the Tulsa Race Massacre that ended on this day in 1921, unveiling plans to end racial wealth inequality which will probably sound like disguised creeping reparations; the New York Times continues to shred and discard legitimacy as one of its writers Margaret Renkl scolded Americans for celebrating Memorial Day with social gatherings while in pre vaccine America last summer she urged people to attend BLM “protests” combating social injustice (videos of the burning and looting that followed such “protests” showed a lot of maskless shouting rioters with no social distancing.
         In a chilling example of the 107% increase in threats against members of Congress, Red Congresswoman Nancy Grace’s home in Charleston, South Carolina was vandalized with Antifa graffiti over the Memorial Day Weekend; while many conservatives feel that they are being targeted by the left, leave it to the political cartoonist to capture the fear while showing both the venom in the Botox Queen’s face and the likely effects on appearance of too much Botox:

      Non  CV News: It is becoming apparent that COVID-19 was leaked from the Wuhan Lab and what is disturbing is the more and more it is beginning to look like MSM dismissed that theory because it would help Trump in the election which Biden won by hiding out in his basement; UK intel is also now pointing to the Wuhan Lab for the COVID-19 leak and condemning WHO for what looks more and more like a sham to shelter Chinese complicity with the increasingly discredited wet market theory (the real question remains which after a year and a half of Chinese coverup is whether the Wuhan Lab was altering the virus to weaponize it and if so what will the U.S. and the world do with over 3.5 million deaths the result of such Chinese activities?); Miami-Dade police have recovered the stolen Nissan Pathfinder that was used in the mass shooting in Miami that killed 2 and wounded 20 and released a video of 3 masked men leaving it; the principal of a Stockton high school was escorted off the stage after telling graduating seniors he loved them and tried to do what was best for them but he had been fired by the school board (wonder if he opposed critical race theory which prompted the axe?); a surveillance video in NYC—where else—shows a 55 year old Asian woman walking on a sidewalk and then knocked unconscious by a black walking toward her who even the most fanatical anti-Asian would want this scumbag to be caught and convicted a felonious assault enhanced as a hate crime; MLB and its players union balked at playing the All Star Game in Atlanta because of Georgia’s new voting law which Wokers’ claim unjustly will curtail black voting and now they are facing potential litigation from a business coalition due to revenue that will be lost due to a moving of the game.

Static Major “Lollipop”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IH8tNQAzSs Lil Wayne a rapper who has been performing since age 12 has sold over 120 million records and has had 4 children, 3 of which born out of wedlock and a 8 month’s stint in prison for a weapon’s charge has not slowed him down. Static Major was a noted rapper songwriter whose singing career was on an upward track when he died during surgery for a rare neuromuscular disease on February 25, 2008.
         4.  Word of the Day—the word of the day is “riant” which means laughing or cheery which describes an outlook on life that is good to possess.
         5.  The Beast Danced to a Different Drum--celebrating the birth on this day in 1948 musician John Bonham aka “the Beast” and best known in his short career as the lead drummer for  Led Zeppelin but the Beast when it came to alcohol did not dance to the moderation drum and on September 25, 1980 during and after a day of rehearsal drank enough alcohol to kill a horse which it did as after passing out he vomited up the numerous shots of vodka and choked himself to death at age 32 in his sleep. His fans piled up numerous drumsticks at his grave in the forlorn horn he could rise up and play them again.           On this day in
         a. 1921 a young black shoe shiner Dick Rowland was accused of trying to rape a white elevator operator Sarah Page when he tripped entering her which was the spark that lit the Tulsa Massacre the next day as 75 blacks, some armed had arrived to protect him from being lynched and an angry white mob in the hundreds  were bent on that purpose which resulted in shots being fired and 10 whites and 2 blacks dying outside the jail which set off angry white mobs into black neighborhoods to kill and maim and destroy and when the dust cleared on June 1 after the National Guard was summoned, the official total of deaths stood at 26 blacks and 10 whites, over 800 injured and large numbers of black homes and businesses destroyed. In a terrible footnote to this sad day in American race relations the charges against Dick Rowland, who survived the Tulsa Massacre were dismissed when Sarah Page indicated she did not want to prosecute him.
        b. 1971 in accordance with the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, Memorial Day was celebrated on May 31^st, the last Monday in May for the first time as opposed to May 30.
        c. 1977 to the joys of American motorists tired of being held hostage to OPEC, after years of legal delays the Trans Alaskan Pipeline System was completed and soon would be delivering 2 million barrels a day of petroleum to Valdez for shipment to the lower 48 for refinement.
        d. 2005 Vanity Fair disclosed that FBI agent Mark Felt was the “Deep Throat” that exposed the Watergate Coverup that led to President Nixon’s resignation to avoid being convicted of impeachment.
        e. 2019 DeWayne Craddock, a former employee of the Virginia Department of Public Works who had just resigned, went back to the Virginia Beach Municipal Center armed with 2 pistols and shot and killed 1 contractor arriving to obtain a permit and 11 employees and wounding 3 employees and 1 responding police officer before being killed by responding police in a prolonged gun fight. In a what have happened moment, one of the victims according to her family’s attorney had indicated she wanted to bring her firearm to work but that she refrained from doing so due to the city’s policy that forbade such action.
         Reflections on the Tulsa Massacre of 1921: “I kept hearing over and over again that the word riot gives the connotation that you burned your community down. We didn’t do this to our own community. We had it burned down by others. And if it was burned down, it was burned by them.”  State Sen. Kevin Matthews, chairman of the 1921 Race Massacre Centennial Commission in reference to newspaper accounts of the events in Tulsa.
