October 31, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not World Savings Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 31, 2016 Only 9 waning but increasingly vitriolic and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; Hillary’s support is evaporating as a result of the FBI’s decision to reopen its email probe and soaring Obamacare premium increases; the stench of corruption coming from her and the Foundation grows each day which explains why the Blues are so desperate to have people vote early before more damaging emails are leaked by WikLeaks; in a really shocking example of the politization of the DOJ under the Obama Administration Loretta Lynch that supposed icon of impartiality took the Fifth in response to Congressional questions concerning the almost $2 billion cash payment to Iran which looked like, smelled like, and to any sane person was a ransom payment to release prisoners held by Iran (if this is the kind of justice you want then vote for Clinton); in yet another reason why this country will be a better place since political hack par excellence Harry Reid is retiring, Reid added gasoline to the Clinton scandal fire by claiming Comey has violated the Hatch Act by trying to influence the election; on the sports front, hope springs eternal as the Cubs hang in there to beat the Indians 3-2 to head back to Cleveland to play game six on Tuesday.
As Trump is trying to become more presidential, going to www.lyingcrookedhillary.com is a great way to start your day along of course with www.alaskanpoet.blogspot.com and reading Clinton Cash would be a great read to understand the quid pro quo mentality of the Clintons and if you want some music in your life with a little satire-- https://safeshare.tv/x/kXjbXGyQDsE

e. 2011 the Earth’s population according to the United Nations reached seven billion people (now estimated at midyear of 2016 to be more than 7.4 billion).
Reflections on World Savings Day on how to save:”If you wait to see how much money you have left at the end of the month to put toward savings, the answer may be zero. So, set up an automated monthly transfer from your checking to savings account. Once you lock into that commitment, you'll be forced to scale back spending to make ends meet.” Suze Orman, noted personal financial consultant. Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. October 30, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Mischief Night

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 30, 2016 Only 10 waning but increasingly vitriolic and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; bombshell just dropped by the FBI already under scathing rebuke by Reds for its ”sham” investigation of HRC’s private email server and its refusal to look into the criminal pay to play activities of the Clintons and the Foundation announced it was reopening its investigation due to thousands of emails recovered from the lap top shared by that noted pervert Weiner and Huma Abedin, Hillary’s long time most trusted adviser; latest poll shows voters favoring Hillary are 30 percent less likely to vote for her now as a result of the latest news; Hillary is expressing outrage over Comey’s acts and Trump is praising and raising legitimate concerns that Weiner shared the laptop; on the sports front the Indians won game four last night 7-2 in Chicago and now lead the World Series 3-1 and McCaffrey returned to his last year’s Heisman form with three touchdowns and 225 all purpose yards as Stanford beat the Wildcats in Tuscon 34-10.

3. 1982 Number One Song—celebrating the number one song in 1982 on a run of 1 week in that position “Who Can It Be Now” by Men at Work. Here is a recording of Men at Work performing the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SECVGN4Bsgg

a. 1831 Nat Turner the leader of the most violent and deadly slave rebellion in our history was captured in Southampton County, Virginia after eluding capture for over two months; he was tried and convicted and hung on November 11, 1831; as a warning to other slaves who might be considering rebellion his body was flayed, beheaded and quartered.
b. 1905 Czar Nicolas II signed the October Manifesto which granted some basic civil rights to the Russian people and permitted them to form a Duma (a classic example of too little too late as the Communist Party’s October Revolution would prove.
c. 1938 Orson Welles broadcasted over the radio H.G. Welles’ The War of the Worlds causing widespread panic as many listeners thought Earth was being invaded by Martians.
d. 1945 Jackie Robinson of the Kansas City Monarchs signed a contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers breaking the color barrier in professional baseball.
e. 1995 Quebec citizens by a narrow vote of 50.52% to 49.48% vote to remain as a province of Canada.
Reflections on The War of the Worlds” given at the conclusion of the radio broadcast by Orson Welles: Starting now, we couldn't soap all your windows and steal all your garden gates by tomorrow night, so we did the next best thing. We annihilated the world before your very ears and utterly destroyed the CBS. You will be relieved, I hope, to learn that we didn't mean it, and that both institutions are still open for business. So goodbye everybody, and remember please for the next day or so the terrible lesson you learned tonight. That grinning, glowing, globular invader of your living room is an inhabitant of the pumpkin patch, and if your doorbell rings and nobody's there, that was no Martian, it's Halloween.”       Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs. Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 29, 2016 Only 11 waning but increasingly vitriolic and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; bombshell just dropped by the FBI already under scathing rebuke by Reds for its ”sham” investigation of HRC’s private email server and its refusal to look into the criminal pay to play activities of the Clintons and the Foundation announced it was reopening its investigation due to thousands of emails recovered from the lap top shared by that noted pervert Weiner and Huma Abedin, Hillary’s long time most trusted adviser; Trump raised the national security implications and concerns back in August of 2015 and may have just been proved right; on the sports front the Indians won game three last night 1-0 in Chicago and play this evening in game four in Chicago now leading 2-1.

October 28, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Animation Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 28, 2016 Only 12 waning but increasingly vitriolic and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; scary times for Pence as his plane landing at LaGuardia slid off the runaway but fortunately no one was injured; the picture of the corruption surrounding the Clintons, their Foundation and her campaign get clearer with each WikiLeaks day—Podesta’s sister-in-law was hired by Raytheon along with two other note Clinton Foundation bundlers as lobbyists to obtain federal contracts worth over $23 billion; WikiLeaks show even her staff in pretty graphic terms were appalled over the creation and use of her private server; Michelle Obama was campaigning with HRC in North Carolina but seems to have forgotten her observation that between HRC and Barack it was a choice “about character” (it is it really is and HRC’s character is fatally flawed); in yet another example of why we cannot trust anything that originates from the swamp in D.C. the fed’s statistics for deaths from accidental shootings claimed that they had in Tennessee increased from 19 to 105 when in reality they had declined to 5, the lowest in years;  Twitter is laying off almost 10 percent of its workforce and discontinuing the Vine app; Game three tonight in the World Series at 5:00 P.M.PT

October 27, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National Beer Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 27, 2016 Only 13 waning but increasingly vitriolic  and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; so far this morning no damning WikiLeaks on the dishonesty of HRC have been released but the day is not yet over but emails show that the real puppet master is not Putin over Trump (ludicrous claim) but Uber liberal George Soros over Clinton (in a chilling thought as we have growing concerns over hacking of our voting process 16 states are using voting machines supplied by a George Soros company leading to the question will the results be accurate or tilted to favor Hillary?); Trump opened up a great new hotel under budget under time in Washington, D.C. while the candidate who has never, ever created a legitimate lasting job in the private sector blasted his business skills; Obama exposed once again for lying to the American people over his knowledge of Hillary’s private email server (would be awesome for voters to read the emails withheld due to executive privilege between this felon and Obama); the Obamacare premium hikes that Obama desperately wanted to delay are being received by voters and the Blues should really be concern over voter anger on the bill shoved down their throats by Obama, Reid (thank God retiring) and Pelosi (pray that this tyrant is not again the Speaker of the House); in the sports sector the Cubs prevailed in game two and the World Series is now tied.

October 26, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not National Lung Health Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 26, 2016 Only 14 waning but increasingly vitriolic  and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; WikiLeak hacked emails show HRC co-chair stating private server was set up because “they wanted to get away with it” and the corrupted FBI under pressure from Obama and Lynch couldn’t find intent—what a crock http://alaskanpoet.blogspot.com/2016/10/i-guess-they-wanted-to-get-away-with-it.html; in another hypocrisy award performance HRC slams Trump for inciting violence (guess she hasn’t watched the tape of her thugs advocating voter fraud and violence at Trump rallies); great op ed by Laura Ingraham debunking mainstream media (aka HRC Super Pac) attacking Trump’s “isolationism” http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/10/25/laura-ingraham-how-elites-blew-up-world.html; in another sign of how bad this election has degenerated to, Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame awarded to him in 2007 was destroyed by a sledgehammer; more Wikileaks showing how Bill made his millions and the Foundation received millions (finally in response to the scandal and implications of pay to play, donations to the Foundation have experienced a huge drop); the Pentagon will not longer be railed against as the Grinch Who Stole Christmas by suspending its demands that soldiers return decades old enlistment bonuses paid to them; in another example of all the news that’s fit to slant the New York Times published a Staten Island 7 year old’s supposed dream about a zombie like Trump coming into homes and dragging Muslims away; on the sports note the Cubs in the first game of the World Series were clubbed by the Indians; in yet another example of what is wrong with our legal system Maria Caya, a fourth grade school teacher, who was fired by the Janesville, Wisconsin school district for passing out in a bowling alley restroom with a blood alcohol limit of .27 during a school field trip filed a $5.5 million lawsuit and settled for $75,000.

October 25, 2016 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Artists Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For October 25, 2016 Only 15 waning but increasingly vitriolic and hypocritical days to go until the only polls that matter close; Walt Disney must be rolling in his grave as yet another video shows Democratic operatives, with the seal of approval of Hillary Clinton, donning Donald Duck costumes to disrupt Trump rallies (more appropriate for this kind of threat to our democracy if they would have worn brown shirts); in a classic example of lack of enthusiasm Kaine spoke at a rally in Florida in front of 30 people while Trump was addressing 15-20,000 at a rally in Tampa; sticker shock as Obamacare starts its death spiral to be felt by millions of Americans in the double digit range of increasing premiums and deductibles as the middle class that cannot afford to pay for Obamacare will face fines of a thousand or so dollars; ironic that Obama who lacks executive skills to manage a one person lemonade stand has created a totally inept start up to provide digital services to government agencies and has already lost $32 million of taxpayer money  http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/10/25/obama-administrations-version-high-tech-startup-losing-nearly-32m.html;  teamsters must be in arms as a Budweiser beer truck was driven remotely for 100 miles in Colorado; a federal district court judge faces a deadline today to approve or disapprove a $15 billion settlement against VW for selling diesel cars that were programmed to pass emission tests when they did not; great hypocritical video of Hillary lecturing State employees on the need to protect information (at least we know she is capable of trial and error learning as employees of the Clinton campaign have been instructed they may not use personal devices to conduct campaign business); Cubs after a 71 year absence open against the Indians in Cleveland.
As always, I hope  you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, a music link to Debby Boone,  factoids of interest for this day in history, a relevant quote from Lord Alfred Tennyson,  while looking forward to enjoying a serving of your favorite pasta, blessed with a positive attitude and secure in the knowledge that if you want to find a gift for any memorable events like birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient. You need only contact me for details.
1. International Artists Day—celebrating the importance that art has in our culture and the fact that we have been drawing symbols on cave walls long before we were able to write.
2. National Cartoonists Against Crime Day—could find nothing on this observance but suspect that it relates to artists being able to sketch the face of a crime suspect for a victim’s or witness’ description of the person’s physical features.
3. 1977 Number One Song—celebrating the number one song in 1977 on a long run of 10 weeks in that position “You Light Up My Life” by Debbi Boone. Here is a recording of Debbi Boone performing the song:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b07-yKnKRMQ
4. World Pasta Day--celebrating the wide range of pastas served hot and cold whether as a main dish or a salad with all sorts of toppings and sauces.
5. All Fame Is Fleeting—celebrating the birth on this day in 1961 of Brian Kelly who took over as head coach of the Notre Dame football program and took the team to BCS Bowl in 2012 but is wallowing at 2-5 after losing to Stanford at home the Saturday before last and should be looking to being fired as his birthday present.
On this day in:
a. 1415 King Henry V and his English longbow men and lightly armored infantry defeated the heavily armored French Knights at the battle of Agincourt, proving that the French had either not learned or had forgotten the lessons to be learned at the Battle of Crecy in 1346 where like at Agincourt, the French Knights were slaughtered by volleys of arrows.
b. 1854 at the Battle of Baklava during the Crimean War, the charge immortalized by Alfred Lord Tennyson in his famous poem, the Charge of the Light Brigade occurred (the lessons to be learn when charging against fortified position with canon were either lost or forgotten when the British marched their forces against machine guns at the Battle of the Somme in 1916 during World War I).
c. 1962 American Ambassador Adlai Stevenson at a meeting of the Security Council of the UN displayed to no one’s surprise that the Soviets were installing ballistic missiles in Cuba.
d. 1971 the United Nations expelled the Republic of China (Taiwan) and seated the People’s Republic of China in its place.
e. 1983 the United States and its Caribbean allies invaded Grenada six days after the Prime Minister of the nation had been removed in a coup supported by Castro and executed.
Reflections on the Battle of Baklava “Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die. Into the Valley of Death Rode the six hundred.” Lord Alfred Lord Tennyson, one of England’s better poets. Please enjoy the poems on events of interest on my twitter account below (if you like them, retweet and follow me) and follow my blogs.
