November 6, 2019 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Malaria Day in the Americas

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not For November 6, 2019 Yesterday was a wakeup call for Trump and the Reds as one of the Reddest states Kentucky elected a Blue governor with a .4% winning margin and Virginia now has both houses of it legislature controlled by Blues (God help us but the impeachment witch-hunt strategy of Pelosi may be working); a heavily armed Mexican in a bullet proof SUV was arrested as a suspect in the brutal massacre of 9 members of the Mormon LeBaron Clan that had lived in Mexico for decades; in a refreshing move and a realization of the insanity of sanctuary cities, Tucson voters rejected sanctuary city status; it looks like Socialist Kshama Sawant and her minions were rejected by the voters in the push to make Seattle the Caracas of the north in the race to retain leftist control of the City Council of Seattle (also a chilling reminder to politicians bent of killing the golden goose as Amazon’s PAC contributed almost a million dollars to centrist candidates); voters in Kansas City voted down the city council’s renaming of its historic boulevard The Paseo Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard; George Stephanopoulos, who is more of a Clinton hack than a journalist is under the microscope for his possible role in spiking Amy Robach’s expose on Epstein which ABC lamely asserts was not up to its standards while the Bobbsey Twins of Fake News, MSNBC and CNN, have devoted not one second to the story, as the carnage in Chicago continues unabated, reports are out the Chicago’s top cop will be soon announcing his retirement; in Puerto Rico which Trump has castigated as a hotbed of corruption, a Puerto Rico Senator and 7 others have been taken into custody by the FBI for corruption charges; Trump’s standing with the black community may be improving as Daniel Cameron, a black Republican, won Kentucky’s AG race and became the first black AG in that state and the first Republican AG in 70 years;  in Chicago as of  November 4, 2019, 2383 have been shot, of whom, 409 have died; in Baltimore with a fraction of Chicago’s population, is coming in second place in the amount of gun deaths as 290 have been murdered (when will Chicago and Baltimore get serious about this carnage or is this the case of true racism as a Blue run city turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the slaughter of people of color by people of color and when will the left focus on the problem of color on color shootings in Blue run cities which have been more deadly and more numerous than random mass shootings?

Reflections on relation of malaria to climate: "Many diseases including malaria, dengue, meningitis - just a few examples - these are what we call climate-sensitive diseases, because such climate dimensions for rainfall, humidity and temperature would influence the epidemics, the outbreaks, either directly influencing the parasites or the mosquitoes that carry them.” Margaret Chan, former Director-General of the World Health Organization.
