September 17, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Citizenship and Constitution Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 17, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 228 million at  228,377,752 cases,  18,740,744 of which are active, 209,637,008  closed with 204,944,697 recoveries (97.76%), and 4,692,311 deaths (2.24% to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 42 million at 42,799.907 with 9,679,042 active cases of which 25,156 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight decrease despite the  Delta variant to .260 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 4,115 , 33,120,865 closures with 690,714 deaths (2.09%) and with 32,430,151 recoveries (97.91%). Our death rate percentage is now .15% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2072 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5934) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3128), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2898),   Brazil (2751) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2501),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2441),   Belgium (2188), Italy (2158), and slightly better than Mexico (2070), Poland (1997), UK (1976),  Chile (1932), Romania (1853), Spain (1834),  Ecuador newly added to list (1812),  France (1772), Portugal (1761), Bolivia (1570),  Sweden (1448) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1261). As vaccine mandate hysteria grows in the U.S., if you are infected you have a 1.614% chance of dying and if you are over 65 the percentages of deaths for that group is 78%.
Tests: We have now conducted 617,825,317 tests (1,853,369/M) just passed by France at 2,049,442 who is now 1st  on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 4,242,833/M.
CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys  that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has been passed by Argentina and newly added Columbia but passed the UK  to drop to 10th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic  at 2067/M with a fatality rate of 8.55% of closed cases and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  40,322 Deaths/M 707
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 239,030 Deaths/M 936
                     El Salvador:  Active cases:   13,281 Deaths/M 472
US Vaccinations: As of 9/16/ 2021 383.0 million doses,  .782 million per day (down to 4 months for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 88,524  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us still some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 49,388,384 total doses have been given (86.5%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 83.0%), but due to the pressure of a recall vote for which ends today, California has  moved from  9th to 10th  of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 57.5% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 54.2% and has  moved down from 15th place to 16th place as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated.
A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
Non  CV News: Biden is aping the workforce during the pandemic by “working” remotely as once again he is off to Delaware but given his cognitive dysfunctionality doubt he is doing any work on the issues that faced but rather just resting; our vaunted over the horizon capabilities in Afghanistan that the Pentagon touted to minimize the failure of our cut and run botched withdrawal was exposed to be a failed myth as the Pentagon had to admit that the drone strike that “killed an ISIS-K terrorist setting off numerous secondary explosions” was a complete lie killing an aid worker and his 7 children delivering water; Michigan schools are probably failing but at least in Mt. Pleasant Public Schools the teachers must be aspiring stylists who strive to cut hair as they cut a 7 year old biracial girls hair without her parent’s permission to remedy a hair cutting by other bullying students on one side (the father has accused the school of racism and filed a $1,000,000 lawsuit); shaking and baking in California today in a epicenter near Carson with a 4.3 earthquake that caused no significant damage; our self-proclaimed icon of foreign policy experiences has another crisis as the UK and the US evidently persuaded Australia to replace France to supply Australia with a nuclear submarine, prompting France to recall its Ambassador to the United States; Blinken, who like his namesake trio Wynken, Blynken and Nod is asleep at the switch in dreamland, has quietly removed a Facebook post claiming the US would stand with the people of Hong Kong; 2 of Gavin Newsom’s 4 children under the age of 12 have tested positive for COVID-19 and are in quarantine; New York’s new Governor Kathy Hochul has released almost 200 prisoners from Rikers Island incarcerated for “technical reasons” involving parole violations (testing positive for drugs and alcohol or missing parole officer appointments doesn’t seem technical giving the offender a get out of jail card); Rachel Maddow, a biased leftist pseudo journalist with 0 objectivity and who was a leading proponent of the false Trump Russian collusion, has given her tongue to a cat on the indictment by Durham of a Clinton lawyer who is charged with lying to the FBI on their probe of the origin of the Russian collusion;  jury has found Robert Durst guilty of 1st degree murder, lying in wait to kill Susan Berman to prevent her from giving testimony that would conflict his alibi over his wife’s disappearance; for those who thought Biden’s strong words on the terrorists involved in the killing of the 13 Americans service persons at the Kabul Airport, leave it to the political cartoonist to reveal the true targets of Biden’s wrath:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 15, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3334 persons shot of whom 567 have died.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a  music recording link to  “Crank That (Soulja Boy)”  by Soulja Boy, that your life is full of seraphic moments and a quote on Occupy Wall Street by Artur Davis,
secure in the knowledge that if you want to send a gift for any memorable events like Halloween or Veterans  Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient.               1.  National Concussions Awareness Day—created in 2016 by Brooke Mills, a freshman who suffered a concussion in her freshman year of high school, and observed on the third Friday in September to promote the importance of recognizing the symptoms of a concussion, treating the concussion and enhancing rules and equipment in sports to minimize the incidence of concussions like the rule in football that bans targeting by a player of his head on the head of the other player that results in the ejection of the targeter for 2 halves or portions thereof.
              2.
Citizenship and Constitution Day—created by Senator Robert Byrd in 2004 to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on this day in 1787 and requiring all federal agencies and all schools that receive federal funding to provide education on this day about the Constitution which is sorely needed as one could expect that most students are clueless about the Constitution and why the provisions are what they are and the rights of the citizens it protects.
              3. 2007 Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2007 on this day was “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” by Soulja Boy on  a run in that position of 7 weeks nonconsecutive to join 17 other songs that achieved number 1 status  and to join 7 other acts that achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Here is a music video of “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” by Soulja Boy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UFIYGkROII . Soulja Boy was one of the first rappers to market on social media and his number 1 single was the first number 1 single to sell 3 million copies.

              4.  Word of the Day—the word of the day is “seraphic” which means serene or blissful which does describe the chaos at the border that Biden is responsible for and continues to ignore.
              5.
Reaching Bottom-- celebrating the birth on this day in 1960 of Canadian singer/songwriter John Bottomley who started with the band Tulpa before launching a solo career in 1990 and won the Juno Award for the Most Promising Male Vocalist in 1992 with his second album. He released 11 albums but sadly suffered from clinical depression and hung himself on April 6, 2011.

         On this day in:
          a. 1849 abolitionist Harriet Tubman escaped from slavery in Maryland to begin a career of freeing slaves from their owners via the Underground Railroad.
          b. 1961 the first stadium with a retractable roof, the Civic Arena, opened in Pittsburgh and the first retraction of the roof occurred at a Carol Burnett show on July 4, 1962.
          c. 1983 Vanessa Williams became the first African American to be crowned Miss America but resigned  under pressure from the Miss America Pageant Organization near the end of her reign when she learned that  Penthouse would soon be publishing unauthorized nude photos of her. In a better late than never moment in 2016 the head of the Miss America Pageant publicly apologized to her.
          d. 2001 the New York Stock Exchange opened after being closed on 9/11, the longest period of time the it had been closed since the Great Depression.
          e. 2011 The Occupy Wall Street movement began in Zuccotti Park, New York City.
Reflections on the Occupy Wall Street Movement: “When you hear the party that glorified Occupy Wall Street blast success; when you hear them minimize the genius of the men and women who make jobs out of nothing, is that what you teach your children about work?” Artur Davis, former Democratic Representative who now has returned to the practice of law and who has been both a Democrat and a Republican and if still a Democrat today has to be one of those very rare moderate Democrats that used to be the backbone of the party.

September 16, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not Yom Kippur

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 16, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 227 million at  227,790,275 cases,  18,679,733 of which are active, 209,110,542  closed with 204,427,289 recoveries (97.76%), and 4,683,253 deaths (2.24% to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 42 million at 42,628,658  with 9,608,227 active cases of which 25,243 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight decrease despite the  Delta variant to .263 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 4,028,  33,020,431 closed, with 688,462 deaths (2.08%) and with 32,331,969 recoveries (97.92%). Our death rate percentage is now .16% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2065 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5932) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3127), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2855),   Brazil (2749) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2497),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2441),   Belgium (2188), Italy (2157), Mexico (2067), and slightly better than Poland (1997), UK (1973),  Chile (1931), Romania (1849), Spain (1833),  Ecuador newly added to list (1812),  France (1771), Portugal (1760), Bolivia (1569),  Sweden (1446) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1261). As vaccine mandate hysteria grows in the U.S., if you are infected you have a 1.614% chance of dying and if you are over 65 the percentages of deaths for that group is 78%.

                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  39,970 Deaths/M 705
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 237,345 Deaths/M 931
                     El Salvador:  Active cases:   13,293 Deaths/M 470
Non  CV News: Bill Maher blasted the liberal MSM for scaring the sh*t our of Americans over COVID-19 to the point they are afraid to go out of their homes; Pelosi must have been ODing on Botox as in London for the G-7 Parliamentarian Conference as she insulted the 70 million voters for Trump as being members of a cult; Rep. Anthony Gonzales who was 1 of the 10 Reds who voted to impeach Trump for the second time has announced he will not run for reelection after Trump has endorsed his primary opponent Max Miller; since Biden thinks he has acquired a M.D. license in terms of vaccine mandates for recovered victims that have acquired natural immunity, his Press Stooge Psaki must think that she must have one also as she dismisses Biden’s recent continued coughing; cognitive disaster was on display again when Biden could not remember the Australian Prime Minister’s name, calling him “That fellow down under”; a federal district court judge rejected the DOJ’s attempt to block enforcement of Texas’ new abortion law banning abortions after 6 weeks; on the flood of illegal aliens streaming across our border, Biden’s only solution is to hide the facts from the American public as the FAA banned drone flights over the bridge at the border where 4,000 some illegals are crammed under it; in another example of how none of us may be safe in the defund the police movement, in Atlanta a restaurant worker was taking a break and witnessed 2 individuals trying to steal a car in the parking lot and called 911 to be put repeatedly on hold until the thieves saw him and shot him in the arm and sped away with the stolen car; as a sign of the times and a slap in the face of the unvaccinated who have recovered from COVID-19 and have natural immunity, Las Vegas is now requiring proof of vaccination status for conventions, Raider games, music concerts, CES and other large events; in a déjà vu of the millions in cash given to Iran in the Iranian nuclear deal, Republicans are raising grave concerns that the $64 million in “humanitarian aid” will go to line the Taliban’s pockets making it easier for them to export terrorism (Biden learned squat as a result of millions of cash involved and if he did with his wasted memory probably has forgotten anything learned);  as Reds are demanding transcripts of Gen. Milley’s unauthorized calls to Chinese military generals and Nancy Pelosi to see if Woodward’s and Costa’s account were correct which may mean court martial of this woke general, leave it to the political cartoonist to capture Milley’s asleep and the switch Afghanistan debacle:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 15, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3312 persons shot of whom 5631 have died.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a  music recording link to  “We Belong Together”  by Mariah Carey, that you are more prone to question the validity of conclusions than be sequacious and a rating by Morgan Stanley on Lehman Brothers as overweight 2 ½ months before it filed for bankruptcy, secure in the knowledge that if you want to send a gift for any memorable events like Halloween or Veterans Day. college graduations, birthdays, weddings or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient.              1. International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer—created by the UN General Assembly on this day in 1994 to commemorate the signing of the Montreal Protocol signed on this day in 1987 relating to the production of substances which were destroying the ozone that protects us from the Sun’s harmful radiation and which resulted in the closure of the ozone hole in 2017.                                                                                                    2.  Yom Kippur—celebrating the most important Jewish holiday and the time for Jews to atone to God for their sins and to forgive one another for their sins committed on others. In a world, including in this nation of a rising tide of anti-Semitism, it would be a breath of fresh air of tolerance in non-Jews sought forgiveness of the anti-Semite sins conducted against Jews.                                                                                                                                     3. 2006 Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2006 on this day was “Sexy Black” by Justin Timberlake on a run in that position of 7 weeks noncontinuous to join 18 other songs that achieved number 1 status, the highest number since 1991,  and to join 19 other acts that achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Here is a music video of “Sexy Black” by Justin Timberlake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gOHvDP_vCs. Timberlake started performing in 1992, was a Musketeer from 1993-1994 on The All New Mickey Mouse Club along with Brittany Spears whom he dated from 1999 to 2002 when he terminated it suddenly (wonder if he knew what was going to transpire in 2008 with her and her father). He’s going strong at age 40 with some 80 million records sold.
           4. Word of the Day—the word of the day is “sequela” which means the long term consequences of a trauma or disease which describes what we face from the woke induced botched withdrawal from Afghanistan and the rise of terrorism that will result therefrom.                  5.The Milk Man Can’t Deliver When He’s Really Dead-- celebrating the birth on this day in 1956 of David Schulthise, a noted bass guitarist better known to his fans as Dave Blood and a member of the punk band Dead Milkmen who developed tendonitis in both hands in 1995 causing a breakup of the band and his retiring from play music. He committed suicide by a drug overdose on March 10, 2004.
         On this day in:
          a. 1810 with the Grito de Dolores Father Hidalgo declared Mexico to be independent from Spain.                                                                                                                                    b. 1920 a bomb carried in a horse wagon exploded in New York City in front of the J.P. Morgan Building, killing 38 and wounding some 400.
          c. 1959 the first successful photocopier, the Xerox 914 was introduced in New York City on television.
         d. 1979 two German families with 8 members escaped from East German in a hot air balloon into West Germany.
               e. 1992 the trial of deposed Panamanian Dictator Manuel Noriega for drug trafficking and money laundering  ended with a prison sentence of 40 years but was released after 17 years to France where he was tried and convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to another 7 years in 2010 to be extradited back to Panama in 2011 where he had been convicted in abstentia for murder in October of 1993 and sentenced to 20 year; he died in a Panamanian prison on May 29, 2017 at the age of 83.

September 15, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Day of Democracy

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 15, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 226 million at  226,412,464 cases,  18,648,755 of which are active, 207,763,709  closed with 203,106,014 recoveries (97.76%), and 4,657,695 deaths (2.24% yesterday) to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.

Our death rate percentage is now .16% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2041 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5930) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3126), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2855),   Brazil (2739) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2487),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2439),   Belgium (2186), Italy (2154), Mexico (2053), Poland (1996), and slightly better than Poland (1996), UK (1968),  Chile (1929), Romania (1841), Spain (1829),  Ecuador newly added to list (1806),  France (1768), Portugal (1759), Bolivia (1569),  Sweden (1444) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1261). As vaccine mandate hysteria grows in the U.S., if you are infected you have a 1.614% chance of dying and if you are over 65 the percentages of deaths for that group is 78%.
Tests: We have now conducted 609,867,836 tests (1,829,614/M) just passed by France at 2,019,692 who is now 1st  on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 4,193,781/M.
CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys  that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has been passed by Argentina and newly added Columbia but passed the UK  to move up to 10th 9th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic  at 2053/M with a fatality rate of 8.55% of closed cases and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  42,847 Deaths/M 696
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 236,140 Deaths/M 928
                     El Salvador:  Active cases:   13,316 Deaths/M 466
US Vaccinations: As of 9/14/ 2021 380.8 million doses,  .775 million per day (down to 4 months for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 81,684  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us still some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 49,162,298 total doses have been given (86.9%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 83.5%), but due to the pressure of a recall vote for which ends today, California has  moved from  10th tied with Minnesota to alone in 9th  of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 57.2% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 53.9% and has  moved up from 16th place to 15th  as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated.
A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
              Non  CV News: Ilan Omar is ranting fire and brimstone after a judge banned a defund the police initiative to be placed on the defund the police (the people who need the most police protection are the poor and minorities who will be left high and dry if  Omar’s petition would pass); on the COVID-19 front new worries that those who took the Moderna earlier are risking the immunity from the vaccine fading; the first casualty of a fail recall is that at least in Los Angeles County, proof of vaccination or a negative test will be required; Jewell Jones, a Michigan State Representative arrested for DUI and out on bail has violated the terms of his bond for the third and after placed in jail was found with a handcuff key and charged with an attempt to  escape (this Blue scumbag is no gem does not even rise to the level of costumer jewelry); Candace Ayers, a 66 year old woman vaccinated this spring has died  from COVID-19 and her obituary blames the unvaccinated to add fuel to the debate over vaccine mandates (why Biden doesn’t follow the science and exclude people who have recovered from COVID-19 and have natural immunity boggles the mind); space tourism took another step closer to reality as SpaceX Inspiration 4 was launched into a 3 day orbit with an all civilian crew, a historic first; Woke is alive and well at Virginia Tech as “Professor” Chrystal Lave saw fit to apologize to her students of color for being a white cisgender straight female touting the inanity that being white is innately racist; lawyers for Kim Potter, the white police officer who shot and killed black Daunte Wright when she thought she was using a taser and was charged with 2nd degree manslaughter was in court moving to have the judge dismiss the 1st degree manslaughter that the icon of objectivity and non-bias Keith Ellison whose office has recently taken over the case had just filed; in another example of why we have an illegal alien problem, Capt. Phip’s Seafood, a Maryland seafood processing company and its owner have pled guilty hiring 89 illegals and scamming the H-2B visa program; the crisis at the border continues with 200,887 illegals captured, a 317% increase over August of last year and Bided does squat to curtail it;
as Bush disgraced himself on 9/11 with his remarks on terrorism that also equated non existent white supremacy with Islamic terrorism, leave it to the political cartoonist to highlight what a fool he is:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 14, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3291 persons shot of whom 561 have died.
As always, I hope you enjoy today’s holidays and observances, factoids of interest for this day in history, a  music recording link to  “We Belong Together”  by Mariah Carey, that you are more prone to question the validity of conclusions than be sequacious and a rating by Morgan Stanley on Lehman Brothers as overweight 2 ½ months before it filed for bankruptcy, secure in the knowledge that if you want to send a gift for any memorable events like Halloween or Veterans  Day, college graduations, birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries, you know that the Alaskanpoet can provide you with a unique customized poem at a great price tailored to the event and the recipient.               1.  International Day of Democracy—created by the UN General Assembly in 2007 to promote democracy as a form of government; unfortunately far too many countries have chosen dictatorships or pseudo one party “democracies”.
              2.
World lymphoma Awareness Day—created by the Lymphoma Council in 2004 to promote awareness on Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the areas of symptom recognition, detection and treatment.
              3. 2005 Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2005 on this day was “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey on a run in that position of 14 weeks noncontinuous to join 7 other songs that achieved number 1 status, the lowest number ever,  as 5 acts achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Here is a music video of “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0habxsuXW4g.

              4.  Word of the Day—the word of the day is “sequacious” which means compliant which describes the MSM in reference to Biden’s need to not expose his mental losses and his policy failures.
              5.
0 for 4celebrating the birth on this day in 1946 of noted Harvard student, member of the undefeated 1968 Harvard football team and roommate to Al Gore, Tommy Lee Jones who has been nominated for an Academy Award 4 times but still skunked.

              On this day in:
              a. 1950 in one of MacArthur’s more famous military maneuvers, U.S. troops made an amphibious landing at the Port of Inchon, dooming the efforts of the North Korean Army to drive American forces out of the Pusan Perimeter and into the sea.
              b. 1962 the Soviet freighter Poltava carrying Medium Range Ballistic Missiles that could carry nuclear warheads set sail for Cuba whose voyage would soon create the Cuban Missile Crisis and bring the world closer to a nuclear war than it has ever been and hopefully never repeat.
              c. 1981 the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved Sandra Day O’Connor’s nomination to SCOTUS.
              d. 2008 Lehman Brothers filed for Chapter XI Bankruptcy, the largest bankruptcy filing in U.S. history.
              e. 2020 prompted and encouraged by President Trump, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirate signed agreements in Washington, D.C. normalizing relations with Israel.
Predictions on Lehman Brothers’ financial prospects: “Lehman Brothers: Bruised, Not Broken And Poised For Profitability—Initiating an overweight with a $31 price target. We think near-term risk of incremental write-downs is balanced by solid liquidity and capital funding.” Morgan Stanley June 30, 2008, rating Lehman Brothers as overweight . I wonder if the analysts at Morgan Stanley who came up with that rating lost their jobs.

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 14, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 226 million at  226,412,464 cases,  18,648,755 of which are active, 207,763,709  closed with 203,106,014 recoveries (97.76%), and 4,657,695 deaths (2.24% yesterday) to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 42 million at 42,153,664  with 9,404,217 active cases of which 25,467 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight decrease despite the  Delta variant to .271 % of active cases and to increase the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 3,804,  32,749,447 closed, with 680,447 deaths (2.08%) and with 32,069,000 recoveries (97.92%).
              Non  CV News: If true and a Seven Days in May déjà vu the reports from Woodward’s new book Peril indicates that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Miley was commanding officers and the National Command Center which among things controls nuclear weapons that they were not to obey presidential commands without first reporting to him and to make matters worse communicated to a top Chinese general assuring him that if we were to attack Miley would give him advance notice (kiss your civilian control of the military goodbye and if true Miley should be fired, stripped of all military rank and pension and court martialed for treason); Lt. Colonel Vindman certainly no Trump supporter as he was fired by Trump has called on Miley if the allegations of conversations with the Chinese are true to resign (our worst nightmare should be that the Deep State has metastasized into the military); today is the last day of the recall for Gavin Newsom which if he wins look for an emboldened governor to up the ante with respect to school restricts and lockdowns of all areas of the economy; sad news that Davy Macias a 37 year old nurse who was pregnant an unvaccinated and had her baby delivered 8 days before she died from COVAD-19 has been joined in death by 39 year old school teacher Daniel Macias less than two weeks thereafter leaving 5 children under the age of 7; thanks to cell phones with cameras that are everywhere, Blue Terry McAuliffe, running to regain his governor’s seat in Virginia was caught maskless on Amtrak in violation of federal rules (do as I say not as I do hypocrisy in spades); AG Merrick Garland continues on his goal of federalizing local police departments by requiring standardized rules and protocols; the DOJ as expected has sue Texas over it strict anti-abortion law; Steve Wozniak, a cofounder of Apple has just announced he is forming a space travel company;
outrage grows over Biden’s botched withdrawal with hundreds Americans left behind along with over $80 billion of arms and munitions in the Taliban’s hands as the political cartoonist reveals what Biden’s botched withdrawal may mean in terms of our and the world’s safety against Islamic terrorism:

Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is alive and well to collect data to show that through September 13, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 3284 persons shot of whom 549 have died.

National Eat a Hoagie Day—celebrating a sandwich made popular by Italian ship workers who brought it to work to eat at lunch breaks in Philadelphia during World War II and is now known as the “Official Sandwich of Philadelphia; clueless of who created or when it was created but likely suspect might be a sandwich chain like Subway, Jersey Mike’s or Arby’s.
              3. 2004 Number 1 Song USA—the number 1 song in 2004 on this day was “Goodies” by Ciara feat. Petey Pablo on a run in that position of 7 weeks to join 11 other songs that achieved number 1 status and join 11 other acts who achieved their first number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100.               4.  Word of the Day—the word of the day is “sepulchral” which means gloomy or dismal which describes to a tee what we look forward to  as long as Biden is in office and Blues control Congress.

Reflections on the impact of OPEC: “For decades, our dependence on OPEC oil has dictated our national security decisions and tied us up in the Middle East at an incredible price. We've spent more than $5 trillion and thousands of American soldiers have died securing Middle East oil.” T. Boone Pickens, noted oil and gas magnate and corporate takeover artist.

September 9, 2021 Ridley's Believe It Or Not International Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder Day

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not September 9, 2021

CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues on an increasing basis with cases now over 224 million at  224,053,858 cases,  18,779,219 of which are active, 205,274,639  closed with 200,653,349 recoveries (97.75% and 97.75% yesterday, and 4,621,694 deaths (2.25% and 2.26% yesterday) to continue the low trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentages with some plateaus, dips, and rises.
CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 41 million at 41,561,156  with 9,141,650 active cases of which 25,778 are serious or critical, (8,599 on 3/25/2021) (back to slight increases due  to Delta variant to .282 % of active cases and to decrease the reduction from the 29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 3,493,  32,419,506 closed, with 674,547 deaths (2.08%) and with 31,744,949 recoveries (97.92%). Our death rate percentage is now .17% lower than the world’s death rate.
Standing: On a deaths per million population measure on a steady   but slow climb to 2024 the U.S. ranks behind Peru (5926) the new number 1 which has had a quantum leap in deaths previously unmatched which was a change in the classification to give Peru the a new method of reporting to have a fatality rate of 9.26% of total cases now; Hungary the new number 2 has had a huge continuing surge in deaths with the increase now slowing down and improving slightly to  3.77% of its closed cases have died (3124), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2815),   Brazil (2730) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and Italy, Argentina (2475),  Columbia newly added to the list  (2435),   Belgium (2184), Italy (2150), Mexico (2039), Poland (1995), and slightly better than the UK which we just passed on the 18th  (1959),  Chile (1924), Romania (1827), Spain (1822),  Ecuador newly added to list (1803),  France (1763), Portugal (1755), Bolivia 1564),  Sweden (1441) that never closed its economy down like we did, and Switzerland (1261).
Tests: We have now conducted 600,893, 690 tests (1,802,806/M) just passed by France at 2,000,788 who is now 1st  on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 4,109,786/M.
CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys  that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which has been passed by Argentina and newly added Columbia but passed the UK  to move up to 9th  on my list of deaths from the pandemic   at 2039/M with a fatality rate of 8.62% of closed cases and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported (regardless of number we need no more cases):
                     Guatemala:  Active Cases:  46,950 Deaths/M 685
                     Honduras:    Active Cases: 232,988 Deaths/M 918
El Salvador:  Active cases:   12,632 Deaths/M 461   stopped here
US Vaccinations: As of 9/8/2021 377.0 million doses,  .811 million per day (down to 4 months to go for 75% of population vaccinated) and in California 83,496  per day  (which means if the rate does not increase it will take us still some 3 months to have 75% of the population of California vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity (other than Flip Flop Fauci who may believe that 90% is required).  In California 48,694,320 total doses have been given (86.7%  of doses received to exceed the U.S. average of 83.8%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has not mover from  10th tied with Minnesota of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 56.7% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 53.3% and has not moved from 15th place as a percentage of the population fully vaccinated.
A  long way to go still to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
              Non  CV News: After months of Biden and his lackeys assuring us that there would be no mandatory vaccine requirements Biden flipped gears and will not be requiring all federal employees and any employer of more than 100 employees to require vaccination or weekly COVID-19 testing as a condition of employment but excepting the one federal agency that has daily contact with most Americans—the U.S. Post Office who will await OSHA’s mandate (needless to say the people who have had COVID-19 and have natural immunity are not pleased nor are many governors and business associations vowing to file legal action to halt Biden’s unconstitutional acts); Walmart, Amazon and Kroger have agreed to sell in home Corona Virus test kits at cost to those not wanting to vaccinate; while Biden is going to force Americans to be vaccinated against their will not a peep from this feckless president that illegal aliens be vaccinated of which at least 30% evidently refuse (anyone caught or who surrenders so he or she can try to claim amnesty should be required to be vaccinated or be deported immediately); in another example of the Woke cancer that is destroying this nature a poll of students at the University of Florida indicated that in teaching about 9/11 assessing blame should be avoided along with any concepts of American exceptionalism (the 2977 who were killed other than the 19 scumbag terrorists must be rolling in their graves over these students’ thoughts); the 2021 NFL season kicked off tonight with Tom Brady putting the Bucs in position with a field goal in the closing minutes to defeat the Dallas Cowboys 31-29 in a game which started not with the playing of the National Anthem but “Lift Every Voice and Sing” which has been called the Black national anthem (wonder what outcry if any we will see to this caving by Goodell if any players kneeling while the Black national anthem is sung); in an example of how worried Blues are that the voters will dump Newsom, retired Senator Barbara Boxer evidently is urging Sen. Feinstein to resign (may be a little too late for her to that before the recall but if she does retire and the recall wins, a Red would be appointed and the Reds would have a majority to block Biden’s leftist agenda big time; Biden’s chief of staff Klain who is an unprincipled hack may have shot Biden’s OSHA vaccine requirement rule in the foot by tweeting it was a way to work around the unconstitutionality of requiring a vaccines;
as outrage grows over Biden’s botched withdrawal with hundreds Americans left behind along with over $80 billion of arms and munitions in the Taliban’s hands and Fauci's probable perjury before Congress on the issue of funding the Wuhan Lab for change of function research watch for the Blues to move the news cycle to try to escape the condemnation the Biden Administration and Fauci have  earned and admire the ability of the political cartoonist to portray that news cycle shift:
