        CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with cases now over 154 million at 154,024,171 cases (153,479,745 yesterday), 19,437,745 of which are active, 134,586,426 closed with 131,363,459 recoveries (97.61% and 97.60% yesterday ,and 3,222,967 deaths (2.39% and 2.40 % yesterday) to continue the slow trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentage with some plateaus, dips, and rises (have no idea why the comparatively large improvement in deaths and recoveries yesterday).
       CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 33 million at 33,210,536 (33,180,441 yesterday) with 6,743,429 active cases of which 9,416 (9,466) yesterday and 8,599 on 3/25/2021) (now still at .14% of active cases and now trending down on decreasing the number of serious or critical cases to once again increase the reduction from the  29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 19,855),  26,467,107 closed, with 591,332 deaths (2.23% and 2.24% yesterday) and with 25,875,775 recoveries (97.77% and 97.76% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to slowly improve and after many months is now .16% lower than the world rate after the world’s spike in improvement and now .13% higher than Canada which has the socialized type of medicine Biden may well want to implement here but has approved 4 vaccines as opposed to our 3, one of which J&J is now no longer on hold.
         Standing: On a deaths per million population measurement on a steady climb to 1778 the U.S. ranks behind Hungary the new number 1 which has had a huge surge in deaths (2895), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2389), Belgium (20886), Italy (2011), Brazil (1907) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and the UK (1871) which had passed us despite leading world in testing),  Peru (1863), and Poland (1801)  and slightly better than Spain (1674), Portugal (1669),  Mexico (1670),  France (1608), Argentina (1411),  Sweden (1384) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in  deaths,  Chile (1380), Switzerland (1224) and Bolivia (1103).
       Tests: We have now conducted 449,768,843 tests (now at 1,352,192/M) compared to number 2 now France at 1,179,952/M) as we are conducting more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 2,292,382/M.
       CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which is 12^th on my list of deaths from the pandemic at 1670/M and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported:

                   Guatemala:  Activecases:     15,761     415Deaths/M
                   Honduras:     Activecases:   129,540     532Deaths/M
                   El Salvador:   Active cases:     2,3160    328 Deaths/M   

         US Vaccinations: As of 5/3/2021 246.8 million at 2.29 million per day in the last week sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now reduced to some 3 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 31,382,140 total doses have been given (79.2% of doses received slightly less than the U.S. average of 79.0%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has fallen from 27^th tied with South Dakota to alone in 28^th  out of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 32.0% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 31.8% has fallen from 28^th to 29^th .  A long way to go to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
        Non CV News: What is not surprising is that NBC, WAPO and the NYT were lying and got caught claiming Giuliani had prior warning before the FBI raid  that the FBI was investigating Russian involvement in the election but what is surprising is that the troika of bias corrected that lie (lawyers are not above the law but police raids on lawyers too often raise questions of the attorney client privilege which is the cornerstone of our judicial system); Reds are properly outraged over Biden’s idea of $4 billion in aid to the Northern Triangle to improve conditions to deter flight to the U.S. (the three countries are plagued by massive corruption and the remittances from those 3 countries in excess of $16 billion a year far outweigh aid Biden is talking about); after a marriage of 27 years Bill and Melinda Gates are calling it quits and will be divorcing (Melinda will probably surpass McKenzie Bezos in terms of wealth unless there was a far less generous prenuptial agreement in place); the Bidens visited a 5^th Grade classroom in Virginia and received an earful on virtual learning some good and other bemoaning it was terrible with goods often due to they could nap, eat or plead mic problems  if they didn’t know the answer; the Multnomah County Sheriff announced last week that no more citations for any rioting charges but sadly the facts are on the federal level that of the 97 people arrested on federal charges from May through October, 2021, 58 have had their charges dismissed or are on track to be dismissed and most of the remaining 32 will probably also be dismissed (no wonder cops across the country are leaving or disgusted when putting your life at risk to arrest someone means they are even prosecuted).
         The hubris and ego of Cuomo defy the imagination as he is after his idiotic orders that sent CV infected patients into nursing homes to kill the residents there is now hectoring the unvaccinated to get vaccinated before they kill their grandparents (enough of this lying hypocrite—when does New York rise up and impeach him to send him packing?); Jeff Tobin of CNN who was granted leave but not fired after being caught masturbating during Zoom sessions is still absent and CNN is mum on whether he has been axed or will return; another shooting and killing of a black, this one Erick Derrel Smith who is alleged to have murdered his ex-girlfriend and her nephew and then kidnapped a baby and who died in a shootout with police with the baby taken to the hospital (hopefully even the most rabid BLM anti-cop haters will have a hard time pushing the narrative that the police were not justified); Governor DeSantis has suspended his COVID-19 emergency orders, signed bills preventing the requirement of vaccine passports and limiting CV emergency orders to 7 days; while CV cases continue to decline and more and more of the population is vaccinated, the Pentagon citing CV concerns has banned the 30 year old tradition of veterans on motorcycle in tribute to missing veterans citing CV concerns (easier for an illegal with or without CV to cross the border than Americans to peacefully assemble to pay tribute to veterans); Germany with CV deaths at 1000/M has cancelled Ocktober Fest for the 2^nd year.
        While the attacks by the BLM, Blues and MSM on Senator Tim Scott have continued unabated, leave it to the political cartoonist to reveal them as the true divisive racists in this country:

           a. 1901 a fire broke out in Jacksonville, Florida and when it had burned out 8 hours later, the fire had burned 146 city blocks, killed 7 people, destroyed more than 2,368 buildings, and left almost 10,000 residents homeless (a third of the city’s population). 
            b. 1952 the Kentucky Derby was telecast nationally for the first time.
          c. 1999 Oklahoma was hit with a F5 tornado that caused $1 billion in damages, 45 deaths and 665 injuries and produced the highest winds on the planet ever recorded 300 m.p.h. +/- 20.
            d. 2001 the U.S. lost its seat on the U.N. Human Rights Commission, a seat which it had occupied since 1947.
          e. 2016 a wildfire descending toward Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada caused the evacuation of 84,000 residents who later returned to 2400 homes that had been  burnt to the ground.

         Non CV News: At Point Loma the not so subliminal Biden Message of if you get here you can stay and fill your bag with free goodies resulted in deadly consequences as an overloaded boat smuggling 30 illegals capsized near Point Loma, destroying the boat, killing 3 and sending 27 to the hospital (Biden’s policies have blood on his hands, more smuggling money into the hands of the cartels and yet Where’s Waldo is MIA on the growing crisis at the border for 39 days and counting); watching Biden wearing his mask if he can find it outdoors after being fully vaccinated and apparently oblivious to latest CDC flip flop that masks outdoors in small gatherings are not needed is like watching an Abbot and Costello routine of “Who’s On First” and sends the wrong signal to people delaying getting vaccinated that the vaccinations don’t work because our president is still wearing a mask; our once vaunted “free press” is in a complete free fall when it comes to Where’s Waldo—raves over her shoes and fashion and the fact she crochets but totally ignores her MIA on border’s deadly crisis; with a chip shortage becoming more and more of a problem for a variety of manufacturers, Intel has just announced plans to build a $10 billion chip manufacturing plant, sadly not here but in Israel (wonder what about Biden’s planned corporate tax increase plan drove their locational decision?).
          While BLM protests have to often morphed into riots with burning and looting, leave it to the political cartoonist to reveal the blindness to a white guilt policy of not  criminally prosecuting looters that merely encourages them to loot more:

           5.  Win One for Secondhand Smoke? —celebrating the birth on this day in 1946 of noted singer, songwriter, actress and activist Lesley Sue Goldstein, better known to her fans as Lesley Gore. Lesley was a closet lesbian who did not come out until 2005 but was in a long-term relationship with her female partner Lois Sasson for 33 years who died from COVID-19 on December 30, 2020 but who had the misfortune of being a nonsmoker but contracting lung cancer and dying from it on February 16, 2015 at age 68.

           On this day in

            a. 1964 in a bold move reminiscent of Italian midget submarines placing limpet mines of two Royal Navy battleships the HMS Queen Elizabeth and the HMS Valiant and sinking them in Alexandria Harbor in WWII, Viet Cong frogmen attached mines to the USS Card, an escort aircraft carrier, while she was berthed at the docks in Saigon, and sank her but like the two Royal Navy battleships, she was refloated and repaired and back in action in 7 months.

            b. 1972 an early morning fire broke out in the Sunshine Mine located between Wallace and Kellogg, killing 92 miners in Idaho’s deadliest mine disaster.

            c. 1989 the Soviet Union began to collapse when Hungary opened its gates to Austria, allowing a flood of East Germans to begin fleeing from East Germany.

            d. 2008 Cyclone Nargis makes landfall in Burma killing some 138,000 people and leaving millions homeless.

            e. 2011 Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the attacks of 9/11 and Number 1 on the FBI’s Most Wanted List, was killed in his compound in Abbottobad, Pakistan one half mile from Pakistan’s Kakul Military Academy by Navy Seals in an attack then Vice President Biden urged that the Seals not make.

In California 30,820,435 total doses have been given (77.8% of doses received slightly less than the U.S. average of 77.9%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has fallen from 28^th to 29^th  out of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 31.1% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 31.2% has fallen slightly from  29^th tied with Illinois to 30^th .  A long way to go to get herd immunity in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states which means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
        Non CV News: The venom from the left against Tim Scott keeps coming unabated from the likes of Tiffany Cross ( a misnamed diamond but more like a cheap flawed costume jewel that one would never find in her name stake store); Caitlyn Jenner who won the Olympic Gold in the Decathlon pointed out to the idiots in the Biden Administration that allowing transgender biologically born males to compete against women is the end of women’s sports (Jenner is going to add transgenders, gays and lesbians to the Blues’ list of fears of plantation voters going into revolt against pulling the Blue lever as she runs for governor in the Newsom recall election); Medina Spirit named after the 2^nd holiest city in Islam won the 147^th Kentucky Debry beating the favored Essential Quality who finished fourth; (the Woke left were clamoring for Churchill Downs to forego playing the traditional “My Old Kentucky Home”  before the race and were in essence told to pound stable manure; the leftist professor at Cypress College who thank God has not hoodwinked enough educators to earn tenure was taped ridiculing a student who called cops “heroes” and is now on administrative leave and will not be returning in the fall to pursue her reeducation techniques in the fall; in a special election in Texas due to the death Republican Congressman Wright, his widow placed first, another Red placed second and a Blue who was touting that the district would be flipped placed 3^rd so the 2 Reds will then face the voters to see who will go to Washington, D.C.
     Where’s Waldo who has not held a news conference in 39 days after designated Immigration Czar and added another task to push Biden’s Infrastructure Plan though the Senate has picked up another role—Chair of the National Space Council (this neophyte is a jackette of all trades and a master of none waiting in the weeds to the 25^th spring); SpaceX has departed from the ISIS with 4 astronauts and will land in the darkness for the first time that has occurred since 1968; Seattle’s April Showers give way not to May showers but May 1 protests with 14 arrests; the Student Body Governing Board of he Golden Gophers may not want to defund the University’s police but they are clearly anti-cop and a board member is calling upon them to make cops’ lives hell by calling in false calls for help because the chief won’t resign because he is not protecting black students; FOIA obtained documents show the heavy hand of the AFT in lobbying the CDC and the White House over the issue of opening the schools (our students have been damaged and held hostage by this super funding group for the DNC that couldn’t care less for public school students. 
      Chicago Gun Violence: Hey Jackass.com is back to show that through April 30, 2021, gun violence involving mostly persons of color shooting mostly persons of color in Chicago is alive and well with 1048 persons shot of whom 187 have died.

        5.  A Bad Way to Diet—celebrating the birth on this day in 1939 of noted model Wilhelmina Cooper who in her career appeared on the cover of 255 fashion magazines including Vogue where she appeared for a record number of times, but sadly at the start of her career started smoking to lose weight and never dropped the habit and died at age 40 on March 1, 1980.

            a. 1915 the RMS Lusitania left New York on her 202^nd and last transatlantic crossing to be sunk off the coast of Ireland by a German submarine which resulted in the deaths of 1198 crew and passengers, including 113 Americans and brought the U.S. far closer to entering WWI than before and two years earlier.
           b. 1945 aware of the proclivity of the Red Army to kill and rape civilians and loot while in Germany advancing, some 1000 -2500 terrified German citizens committed suicide as the Red Army was beginning to enter the the town of Demmin, Pomerania.
        c. 1961 in a trading places move, Fidel Castro abolished elections in Cuba and declared it to be a socialist nation.
            d. 1971 AMTRAK assumed the operations of U.S. Passenger Rail Service and the flow of red ink started then continues today and with Biden’s infrastructure plan will continue into the distant and near future.

Ridley’s Believe It Or Not April 30, 2021
        CV World Cases: The CV pandemic across the planet continues the new year with cases now over 151 million at 151,916,113 cases (151,081,350 yesterday), 19,568,777 of which are active, 132,347,336 closed with 129,156,388 recoveries (97.59% and 97.59% yesterday ,and 3,190,948 deaths (2.41% and 2.41 % yesterday) to continue the slow trend of increased cases with increased recovery percentages and decreased death percentage with some plateaus, dips, and rises (have no idea why the comparatively large improvement in deaths and recoveries yesterday).
       CV USA Cases: Total cases now over 33 million at 33,091,920 (33,038,439 yesterday) with 6,801,567 active cases of which 9,643 (9,776 yesterday and 8,599 on 3/25/2021) (now still at .14% of active cases and now trending down on decreasing the number of serious or critical cases  to once again increase the reduction from the  29,271 peak on 12/31/2020 to 19,628),  26,290,353 closed, with 589,861 deaths (2.24% and 2.25% yesterday) and with 25,700,492 recoveries (97.76% and 97.75% yesterday). Our death rate percentage continues to slowly improve and after many months is now .17% lower than the world rate after the world’s spike in improvement and now .10% higher than Canada which has the socialized type of medicine Biden may well want to implement here but has approved 4 vaccines as opposed to our 3, one of which J&J is now no longer on hold.
         Standing: On a deaths per million population measurement on a steady climb to 1773 the U.S. ranks behind Hungary the new number 1 which has had a huge surge in deaths (2857), aping Hungary in terms of increase in deaths Bulgaria (2370), Belgium (2079), Italy (2001), Brazil (1889) which has been hit with a rapid rise in deaths and cases and passed us and the UK (1870) which had passed us despite leading world in testing),  Peru (1832), and Poland (1785)  and slightly better than Spain (1672), Portugal (1669),  Mexico (1664),  France (1598), Argentina (1395),  Sweden (1384) that never closed its economy down like we did but has recently been experiencing a steady rise in  deaths,  Chile (1369), Switzerland (1221) and Bolivia (1097).
       Tests: We have now conducted 446,449.666 tests (now at 1,342,277/M) compared to number 2 now France at 1,161,841/M) as we are conducting more tests in number and on a per capital basis for all nations (other than those nations that contain small populations like Bahrain, Denmark, Israel, Malta, Singapore and UAE) other than the U.K. which remains as king of the mountain with respect to tests at 2,292,480/M.
        CV Open Gate: Lost in the pronouncements by Biden and his lackeys that there is no crisis of illegals surging across the border is that fact that COVID-19 is alive and well and spreading in the Northern Triangle and Mexico which is 12^th on my list of deaths from the pandemic at 1660/M and the 3 countries in the Northern Triangle in terms of active cases and deaths per million are as follows even though the data may be suspect as underreported:

                   Guatemala:  Activecases:     17,304     Deaths/M414
                   Honduras:     Activecases:   127,298     Deaths/M524
                   El Salvador:   Active cases:     2,198    Deaths/M 326  

        US Vaccinations: As of 4/30/2021 240.2 million doses have been given, 2.55 million per day in the last week (sounds impressive but if the rate does not increase it will take us now reduced to some 3 months to have 75% of the population vaccinated which many believe is necessary to develop herd immunity. In California 30,223,391 total doses have been given (77.7% of doses received slightly less than the U.S. average of 77.8%), but even with the pressure of a recall to be scheduled this fall which hopefully end Newsom’s term, California has fallen from 27^th to 31^st  out of the 50 states in terms of the percentage of doses administered as a percentage of doses delivered to the states and at 30.2% of its population fully vaccinated compared to the U.S. average of 30.5% has fallen slightly from  29^th tied with Illinois to 30^th .  A long way to go to get herd immunity and lagging in terms of getting vaccines received into arms and the percentage of the population fully vaccinated compared to other states means a great reason to recall this inept and hypocritical governor.
       Non CV News: The extent of the racial slurs and personal attacks leveled against “Uncle Tim” by the Blues and their MSM lackeys revealed where true racism lies and the fear that blacks will no longer remain Plantation Blue Voter Slaves (look at Blue Lamar County Chairman Gary O’Connor’s now deleted Facebook claim that Scott is little more than an oreo with no real principles” and the sounds of silence from Blues, BLM and the NAACP); on AMTRAK’s 50^th anniversary, Biden who must be clueless over the disaster of overbudget spending on California’s Bullet Train and was proposing a massive $10 billion annual increment to AMTRAK funding when more and more Americans are migrating to a work at home viral environment (in the West AMTRAK has no service from L.A. to Las Vegas  or L.A. to Phoenix that would make sense); in yet another example of the human trafficking by cartel and smugglers racking in huge dollars with our porous borders, police in Houston responding to a complaint found more than 90 illegals stashed in a 2319 square foot house without food and some with CV symptoms; a TSA requirement of mask wearing set to expire on May 11 has been extended to September 13, 2021 despite falling CV cases and increasing percentages of the population fully vaccinated and recovered (when are the CDC experts going to explain to Americans the need to wear masks after fully vaccinated as Biden continues to make a fool of himself wearing, assuming he can remember where he put it, a mask outdoors with almost no one around him).
     The soap opera involving Brittany Spears and her conservator father of 12 years continues with Jamie Spear contending Brittany has dementia; leftist Seattle which has seen 200 police officers quit or retire over its anti-police environment witnessed a chocolate shop Café Chocolati refuse to serve an officer and his trainee; Biden made a major goof in SOTUS when he touted our rejoining the Paris Accords when he admitted that we account for only 15% of the world’s carbon emissions but if do  everything perfectly “it won’t matter” (that’s why Trump had the wisdom to pull us out when we are leading the world in reducing carbon emission and China and India are adding carbon to the atmosphere like there is no tomorrow so we slaughter our economy and the spoils head to China and India and other growing carbon emitters); Arizona’s 2 Blue Senators have blasted Biden for not doing enough at the border as the cartels seem to have taken over the business of smuggling illegals and the surge of human trafficking, drugs, unaccompanied minors and mostly bogus asylum claims soar (since it is clear Where’s Waldo won’t go, Biden should go there to see firsthand the chaos and crisis his ill-conceived policies have engendered; finally after a year of riots in Portland on almost a nightly basis, the Multnomah Sheriff has had enough and deputies will no longer issue citations to appear for misdemeanor reckless burning and criminal mischief but will be booked in the county jail (hopefully the D.A. is not a Soros backed stooge and will prosecute those arrested and instead have them back on the streets committing mayhem against the city and its residents, the FBI searching for Pelosi’s lap top broke down the downs to a Homer, Alaska hotel, handcuffed the owners and quests and confiscated the computers there only to later realize they were at the wrong place, probably wrong city and wrong state.
       While the Blues and their lackeys the MSM continue to rabidly attack  Governor Ron DeSantis fearing he will be a formidable candidate in 2024 for the Red nomination for president, leave it to the political columnist to expose the blatant bias of the MSM:

She inherited the same singing talent as her sister but not her longevity and sadly died of cancer on July 18, 2001 at age 56.

        d. 1993 to the joy of computer users worldwide, CERN announced that the World Wide Protocols would be free.
     e. 2009 Chrysler Corporation filed for Chapter XI Bankruptcy which resulted in its defaulting on $4 billion in debt although it did pay off its obligations to the U.S. 5 years early but at a cost of $1.3 billion to be absorbed by U.S. taxpayers.
